they do film at 8k, sometimes even 16k. Just that the end rendering for Theatres is done in 1080p and for blueray/digital release it is done at 4k. Some Theatres may also have 4k screens.
8K might be out but it will take many years before it becomes the new fad. For example HD didn't come to TVs until the mid to late 2000s. But 720 ppi was the main screen resolution from 2007 to 2010 before 1080 ppi or full HD took over. Today while 1080 ppi still the standard screen resolution it is gradually being replaced by 4K. But 4K is still relatively new. For example many films on Disney Plus like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella & more recently Snow White have been given 'plastic surgery' from full HD to 4K resultion. In fact many films are being upscaled to 4K but the reason it has taken long is because there weren't many 4K TVs years ago but now 4K is the norm, we are getting more 4K content than ever before to meet today's standards in tv. 8K simply put is still only a 'baby' meaning it won't overtake 4K anytime soon, probably not for at least the next decade. 8K will likely be the norm by the mid to late 2030s by which time we will likely have more and more TVs that will play 8K content. But like 4K in which TVs were insanely too expensive, 8K TVs in time will be more affordable, especially once 12K tvs arrive, starting the process all over again.

This shit looks crazy 🥹
So outside of RUclips videos where else are there 8k feeds that can utilise this TV’s full functionality?
i am sooo high on weed rn and i found this video...... its huge
Looks great but is it worth having for us? No it isn't, way too overpriced and there's barely any 8k content, better to buy a good 4k TV for now, maybe 8k for around 2030.
U gonna be paying around the same price for a top of the line 4k tv lol
Your review is impressive bro❤,please make video on Samsung s95c oled TV I hope you
I’m gonna go with the Sony A95L
Will wait till prices drop to 4 folds
