Manufacturers are starting to split the image into 6 or more small sections, each with it's own processors and chips. That will allow 8k 120 fps and high bitrate content. Right now, processors are the limitation for video input bandwidth.
I was going to get the Samsung QN900D back in April 2024 but suprisingly the picture quality of the Sony Z9K still impressed me even with less local dimming zones, Sony's local dimming algorithm with the Back Light Master Drive is no joke...so I ended up with an 85" Z9K
I was surprised that the LAN connection was only 100MB and not 1GB connection, 8K streaming uses 100MB but I would like additional room, for that price..
One reason for this as most ISP home internet service plans are less than 1 GBps. Another I found is that the Samsung Video processors are compressing the input Digital signal and decompressing the signal after Processing. I have the 85 in 900C from last year. My Internet Service plan is a Frontier FIOS 2 GB (actually 2.4 GB) ps. My 900C is connected using a LAN connection (1 GBps) instead of a WIFI connection. The picture is outstanding and upscaling to 8K is excellent. I would never use any wifi (6, 6E,, or 7) as connection for my TVs period.
Dangit, I thought 75" was on the large side for my 345 cm wide room. Now I am thinking of 85 in stead of 65 suddenly :) 8K QLED makes sense to me with the more powerful upscaling than in 4K TV (I assume) and use as a couch monitor for productivity, mixed with RUclips etc.
I had a bad experience with a qn700B from 2022, it has 60W sound. But in my unit there is extremely noticeable distortion and reverberation on low frequencies (around 70Hz-100Hz), very unpleasant in silent scenes with bass effects. Samsung is willing to replace my defective TV with a qn800D which has 70W speakers (qn900D has 90W speakers). Have you noticed any problem with low frequencies in the qn900D?
@@ThisIsTechToday yeah I liked how you explain so well, and that you explain the tv in any point of view, that makes everyone understand! Thanks a lot.
Great TV , but the most sad things is, this is a upscaling TV and nobody show how the upscaling works. Everyone talk about the new Gen3 Prozessor that is made for upscaling, but...sorry i repeat myself because this is really very curious
I currently have a samsung qe55s95batxxu - and I’m thinking of going for the qn800d just worried because I would be going from OLED to QLED Would this be a decent upgrade or would I be disappointed?
I have the same TV and the same size my only problem is i have it in my room and when my girlfriend decides to sleep she always wakes up just to say turn the brightness LOW loool specially when I’m watching something in HDR and yeah i have to watch it in filmmaker mode and even then i have turn the brightness low BUT it’s an awesome TV and it’s like having a theater in bed
Great video. Just one question: can you share your point of view how this will behave as PC monitor? Also is supporting multiple pc inputs same time? Thank you
Every HDMI port can be used for PC, I guess. Multiple on one screen? I might one day need that, so interested. 8K QLED seems to make a lot of sense to do productivity from the couch, cigar chair even closer and/or with guests. I've seen a clip of someone using the bottom half of a TV as sim racing screen. With a strong PC, that bottom half could still be dual 4K. I'll get a 57" dual 4K monitor as well probably, but again, with guests, the TV location and flatness is more convenient.
8K makes a lot of sense for wall art. Bit like The Frame is marketed, with a difference display finish? I'd love to have nice demos running, art gallery stuff, looped background, etc. Ideally I'd also have a head tracking installed, mated to a game engine that displays a look out the windows in kind of 3D. You move around in front of the screen and it acts as a window out of a building. A 180º lens video would suffice. Imagine that...
The 75QN800C is getting quite affordbale. Is the new AI chip worth paying double? The 800C picture looks just amazing, but it's really hard to get good upscaling comparisons.
Everyone has their own opinion. I still rock a plasma. From what I have seen in store. Have not seen Bravia 9. This is the first lcd display I have ever thought of buying.
TV looks good some of the time, but the bugs in it will drive you nuts!! And Samsung has put out 1 update that made issues actually WORSE!! It will just go dim and brighten for no reason. They say it is the ambience dimming but it is all turned off. also, if you let HDMI device activity out-switch to that input, there is NO AUDIO!! Have to manually change inputs then change back. The TV tuner will not remember "last channel" for more than an hour or so. Will not stay connected to a Samsung soundbar. I actually tried 4 brands and it works best with a Sony. It also drops connection and needs to be power cycled a lot. I have written Samsung support to no avail. Mine is the "A" model so this may be fixed in your "D" model. But we early adopters would like a firmware fix as we paid $8000 for this TV!!! A whole lot of money for an operational hunk of junk!!
No. lol. Get a real chair: ruclips.net/video/MoAdBkhfejc/видео.html "Gaming chairs" are a horrible design and concept. Horrible ergonomics, too big, hard, terrible for your posture, and overpriced. You can get a normal office chair for either less or for more but with a significantly higher warranty period. I personally use Herman Miller for everything. Secret Lab just happened to of given me the chair and I had it in the room. I wouldn't endorse it, but I'd endorse their desk stuff like no other.

Ah, check the app. There is a setting that auto toggles and can adjust how much it is cancelling out. It’s an adaptive mode. Could change it to manual and max ANC Mode.
8k televisions don't make economic sense until there's widespread native 8k content such as 8k Blu-ray movies and streaming platforms providing 8k programming.
I almost got the QN900D because it has more dimming zones but I compared it to a Z9K with less dimming zones and suprisingly I liked how it handles the picture. I bought the Sony Z9K still...Sony's processing and color accuracy is still better in my opinion.
Yeah that tv chews so much electricity and it heats up the room so much I went the Samsung s95c which is 4k and OLED and doesn't heat the room like crazy plus there isn't much 8k content so I wouldn't bother about 8k till 5-10 years maybe more
@@ThisIsTechToday Just a tip: I think you should've talk more about the upscale part. Unfortunately I can't find a video showing how does the processor handles when trying to upscale a low resolution content to 4k or 8k. Like 480p and 720p resolutions. 4k to 8k, I already know it works. But what about native 480p to 1080p? Or 720p to 4k? Is it possible?
Whose going to spend 10000 on a tv and not have front tower speakers and separate amp and stand alone subwoofer?? Relying on inbuilt speakers is like using netflix instead of a 4k bluray player and disc
Where in the world did you get that price? You’re way off. And yes, most should get at least a sound bar as most will. Not everyone will or wants to get two set speakers, amp and subwoofer. They take up a lot of room.
