I hope and pray this channel lasts forever! I will listen to every single one of them, I'm making it my life's ambition. Definitely my favorite channel!
Outstanding! Just listened to it at 4 o'clock in the morning in the dark and it scared the bejesus out of me! Thanks so much for posting. It brings back memories of when I was 10 to 18 years old and I used to listen to these episodes with my father.
Patrick O'Neill I am preparing to do exactly that! 3:36 am Sunday April 19, 2020

@@Bambisgf77 ChillySunshine is so wonderful for posting these. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. There were 1,399 original episodes. The total number of broadcasts, including repeats, was 2,969.
Great memories and it does help on sleepless nights. Listening now at 1am. Greetings from rainy London. 🙋🏼♀️
Awesome radio story. I enjoyed it very much. A great classic to listen to on a stormy night.
Thankypu so much for putting these all up. Your so kind. I listen to these all of the time. They are wonderful and so are you. Bless you, Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Me and my shadow, strolling along the avenue......tra..la..la.laaa.....
I just want to say. No shadow would be the coolest thing ever. Think about how that would freak out people. Detachable shadow.. even cooler.
that cop sounds like he smokes a pack a day, but the story is awesome. thanks for posting.
In 1976, he probably did.
Or he's 100 years old

Lol
Loved it
The Invisible Man-meets Peter Pan's shadow-meets Mr. Hyde???!
“Only the shadow knows”
Good story, thankyou!
This is pretty cool, it feels very 50s and it's classic science fiction.
In Carl Jung's personality theory, the shadow is the part of the individual personality that the ego denies and doesn't recognize. If it becomes integrated into consciousness it becomes an ally. If it remains unconscious it can't be controlled and it can become an enemy and get you into trouble - your own personal Mr Hyde, doing what you unconsciously want to do, unrestrained by the usual limits of morality and civilization.
PS - Of course the "shadow" in the Jungian sense isn't a literal shadow. It's just the part of the person that's in the dark (meaning the ego can't/won't see it).
The invisible Mr. Hyde.
The actor portraying the police Lt really overdoes it with the Irish brogue. OH DANNY BOY!🎵
I tought i saw a taddow! I did, i did tee a taddow! Help! Dwanny!
See.....Tweety thought he saw a shadow, too.LOL
It's weird that if there are cops in an episode at least one of them has to be Irish and have a heavy accent. Since Himan Brown was the guy behind the series I figure it's him making that call...but I wonder why.
Super spin on "The Invisible Man."
I have to agree with you b/c it's pretty much like the Invisible man has I've seen years ago on TV. Program sure was a bit scary. Also I should mention Sherlock Holmes movie
I love these stories wish they were still on the radio at night these times and sherlock too
Why ever is it that a depraved side of unconsciousness went on a murder spree when freed from human structure and contained no longer.
Because this is the home of 'The Macabre'.
Thanks
a good episode thanks for sharing. but the music is so important on these shows, and the tape track with the music drags through out. that is disappointing.
It needs cleaning up doesn't it. I agree. Hopefully some one will clean them all up one day and then have the sence to transfer them all to vinyl together with a vinyl player.
The tape sounded like it was going to die!
The music is hilarious
Needs recovery work.
Sounds like something that would happen to Peter Pan😂

tombstone shadow followin me
Looks like it is following you to your grave 😀
Binge listening during shelter-in-place 😷pandemic😱 Dec 21/20. 1:40a super cold 🌄 Oakland CA
You don't know cold in California it gets 30 below 0 in Michigan LOL
Here in Texas I've known a lot of transplants from Michigan and points north who, after spending just one summer and one winter here, revisit their home state and find out they can't handle those temperatures anymore.
I have a Question, what's up with the door sound when it's first come the beginning of the show come on....why
Creep factor
I think it’s also an homage to the inner sanctum radio show.
Creep Factor for the imagination after all there is no visual aid which I actually enjoy
EG Marshall made it spooky with the creaking door. It always scared my younger brothers when we listened to this in the 1970's!
Haunted house
Why do all the cops in this series talk with an Irish accent?
When they first came to America it was one of the few jobs they could get. Southern border illegals get a free pass compared to what the Irish and italians went through back then.
Stereotype
@joeward2009
And now in May 2024 the USA has no Southern Boarder at all . . .
How hard is it to say" he's working on an experiment and he might not make it through it"?! You don't have to say it's top-secret you don't have to say what it's about it's not rocket science😅 it would have saved a lot of back-and-forth aggravation 😅
22:00- A friend of mine saw one of these right before she died, weird.
I'm sorry you lost your friend 😔
clever fantasy - except for the moralizing - ie there are some things we shouldn't try to understand or tamper with - but they don't offer a clue as to identifying them - in fact - the "science" part in this story was outrageously unscientific - it just provided the motive for the story - overall the plot was predictable - but it was fleshed out with good twists and sensible dialog - acting was competent - altho why did they have to have another "irish" cop
Why not? 🩳🙂

So you know they are a cop by vouce
@@susancates0213 - that's a large part of the reason - stereotyping was rampant in american productions
