    Thanx man, I just used your video to install this and now I can finally put my led blinker bulbs back in. It was kind of a pain in the ass but way better then using resistors.

    That’s a lot of bullshit for some LED signals. I’m just returning mine and going back to stock 😂 thanks for the info.

    I have a 2013 Tacoma, two things(all LED’s)the running light are not working, I was told that they need to be replaced, I did still not working and now some of the light in side are not working(the A/C controls area, and the bottom on the left side too, dose that year also have fuses in as well….

    I'm confused. Do you leave the OEM unit unplugged and plug this new unit into the back of the fuse box? And do the day-time-running lights still work?

    • @KevinVCars

      Yes you unplug OEM unit and plug in the new unit

      @@KevinVCars the new unit has 8 pins and the OEM has 12? I guess this won't work for those of us with DTRL

    Hi there. I started to experiment, a problem after having changed the flasher, LED. When I press to activate the factory alarm, the lights stopped flashing. Could you give me an idea what I can do to solve the problem. Thank you.

    I put mine in using your video but unfortunately for some reason my rear blinkers are working fine but now my front led running/blinkers are both staying on and strobing simultaneously. Also another odd thing is that my running lights don’t automatically come on with the new relay installed I have to manually flip the switch to cut them on. Got any clue what my issue could be? Lol

      @@R3nat002 no the relay wouldn’t work for my 2012. The only thing you can do is wire in resistors on my truck something to do with the fact that it has daytime running lights on the same circuit as the blinkers if I remember correctly but it’s been a year since I dealt with it.

      @@R3nat002 I also installed some retrofit headlights with a switchback amber/white and wouldn’t you know it they don’t stay white because of the damn drl lol well I was told that I could wire the front halo to my taillights and it would work like I wanted it to because the drl sends a signal to the switchbacks making them stay amber 👎🏻 anyways good luck 👍🏼

    Dude you pointed at 3 different relays and called them all the same thing. What is the oem part number we are replacing? I show 2 different relays one is 3 pin. The other is a completely different type of relay.

    • @KevinVCars
      @KevinVCars  4 года назад

      In the video i point at the new flasher unit , the diode dynamics tan colored relay because i had it already installed when i started the video. Follow what i say and if it fits where i point then test it and you’ll know you have the right relay replaced.

    Hi there. Would it be possible for you to send me the place where I can buy it, or if I can find it on Amazon or EBay?

    • @KevinVCars

      I got my exact one at this web address: www.diodedynamics.com/led-flasher-for-2005-2016-toyota-tacoma.html
      This is for 05-15 tacomas without daytime running lights. If you’d rather have an Amazon link i found one here: Diode Dynamics LED Flasher compatible with Toyota Tacoma (non-DTRL) 2005-2015, CF18 Standard www.amazon.com/dp/B086Q23423/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5Y0G6YJSXQWF7V3DJHDC

    Hows the new relay? I heard it's a bit slower on the first blink, would love to see a vid of how the new relay works.

    • @KevinVCars
      @KevinVCars  5 лет назад +1

      Works good. Possibly slower on the first blink, but the only difference i noticed was the elimination of the hyper blink. It was worth it for me as I was getting annoyed with the quick blinking before. I can post a video of the after for the blinkers if you’d like.

      Do you know of a relay that will work with DRL or will this work as long as there are not aftermarket drl’s (the orange indicators that are both are fine?). I don’t use the DRL’s but there is a mode on my selector for them
