For added effect (on the 2nd vector sample) you can remove the outline of each puzzle shape (under the Format ribbon) then change Shape Effects to Bevel, the first bevel option. This, I find, gives the puzzle something of a 3D effect.
It might be interesting for you to do a tutorial on creating a template of individual puzzle pieces assembled into the basic format to use instead of trying to find one online. It takes a little work, but I was successful in making my own. Then I used triggers to remove pieces at random to create a little game with a photo behind the template.

I simply made 4 shapes and individually clicked "background from slide" of course I had to load in a pic of my choice and it knew where to go, piece by piece! I can now do any animation with those pieces. You don't know how many hours I had spent since Friday (today is Tuesday) watching tutorials downloading free software, trial software and whatnot. I think I lost my job trying to figure this out. LOL. Naw. Just spent every waking moment on it. LOL. I am using PP 2011 for Mac, so I had to tailor what you said because you are using a PC and a newer version of PP. I am really happy, because I don't use Office enough to justify a subscription cost! I really thought I wasn't able to create a puzzle because I needed to upgrade.....I even went to a website (Microsoft I think? that typed step by step directions but had some limitations. YOU ROCK! THANK YOU!

Doug H, Even simpler. Make your shapes whatever way you want. Select them all (don't need to group them) import pic from background. Pick breaks apart where they need to go and voila you have a Jigsaw Puzzle! I wonder if I could get a Jigsaw Puzzle template? Thanks

You can find puzzle piece or a puzzle piece that is blank, make duplicates of it and paste around the slide. You can also rotate the image. If there is color in the puzzle (like in the background) you can remove it (see ruclips.net/video/HG82lC5oCKI/видео.html)

move the picture out of the slide and see if the white color follows to check if the transparency came through or not.
