  • Velkommen til prøvekjøring av Scania Irizar i6S med flytende gass.
    Vi er på besøk hos Scania i Södertälje for å kjøre en buss som er helt unik. Scania har bygget en bus i samarbeid med spanske Irizar på flytende gass. Dette testprosjektet har vi i Bussmagasinet fått ta del i, og her kommer filmen om bussen.

    LBG stands for liquified biogas. Scania has built a test coach together with Irizar. There is only one example of this product in the world, and we have been able to test drive the vehicle. Welcome on board!

    Great video. Irizar design is long lasting. If the supporting infrastructure is already installed everywhere, this coach will be a game changer.

    A interesting project, good to see this experimental coach is being tested at maximum weight . The problem here is that the LBG fuel must become widely available for this to be a success. Toms tech talk was very informative.

      So true! Today this fuel cannot work. It’s not enough stations to fill anywhere’s

    We have a large fleet of 15 meter i6, i6S and i8 with Scania chassis in Estonia. These are very good coaches to drive, smooth, quiet and very fuel efficient. Hispacold climate system works very well and keeps interior cool even in very hot weather. i8 is not so comfortable for taller drivers like me. Personally I like these left side button panels, the buttons are arranged more logically, symbols are clearer and does not come off so easily compared to the more conventional buttons on older i6. The only drawback is flat buttons that making finding the right button quite difficult when not looking at them. Also what I don't like about Irizars is that the steering wheel covers almost half of the instrument panel. I have not experienced that in Scania Touring and I hope that this fixed with the newer Scania cockpit desing. First i6S and i8 have done over 1,5 million km and they are still going strong.

    I have been waiting for you guys to make a video of an Irizar bus, especially the i6S model, hopefully next time we will see the 6x2 chassis version of that coach, You guys always make very informative coach

      I’m glad to hear! We where supposed to go to Spain and Irizar in 2020, but it never happened. Hope we can make more Irizar videos for the future

    Very interesting , it should be solution for nowdays because diesel fuel is very expensive and become rare in my country.

    Sikkert et greit alternativ til sightseeing og mer lokal turkjøring men trur neppe dette er noe for Haukeliekspressen og andre langruter

      Går en slik mellom Oslo og Stockholm. Men, diesel er nok best for langdistanse enn så lenge 😊
