I’m only 30 seconds in but I’m already mentally prepared for some seriously unpopular opinions haha *update* I personally agree with a ton of this
Even sky rush at #15 ? 😔
@@kylebetz9684 You're right, it should have been left off
@@AirtimeThrills Do this next plz - Top **20** Intamin Coasters Around The World -
I'm pretty sure Taron, Expedition GeForce, and Taiga would fall in really well.
Maybe he should have put a warning, I was WAY TO LAME to enjoy the video
@@justbegula it’s a signature of all of Ryan’s vids lmao
Mr. Airtime Thrills is killing it with these quizzes and rankings. Every single one of his recent videos have been bangers. Keep it up man!
“Rocketing up the lift”
Millennium force going as slow as possible
For a second, when I saw Fahrenheit at 12, I didn't think Storm Runner would make it.
Seeing my favorite coaster all-time at 8 was very pleasing.
Kingda Ka's roughness is primarily at the end of the launch track. I believe this is caused by its launch track being so high off the ground compared to Top Thrill Dragster. Kingda Ka's launch track was built with a higher slope, to make the actual climb shorter, and allow trains that rolled back to be reset quicker. However, the launch track has no lateral bracing, and if you look closely in videos, you can see the whole track shake. On Top Thrill Dragster, because the supports are much shorter, they don't bend as much, so the track doesn't shake back and forth, making a smoother ride. I'm surprised that Intamin didn't add lateral bracing to Kingda Ka's launch track when they beefed up the structure to add Zumanjaro.
thought this was a Sporcle quiz til I realized that it wasnt a Saturday
Chris be like: “Is this a fucking joke to you?”
Speaking of which...where is this weeks sporcle video?
@@arireich4324 he's taking a break from them for now
@Zacheroni Why tho?
Cheetah Hunt > Skyrush. Now THAT is an opinion right there, but hey respect it
I'm definitely over 5'10" & I love Skyrush so...
@John Lorton I'm pretty sure 95% at least of enthusiasts over 5'10" would prefer Skyrush
@John Lorton Dude why are you always being so provocative. I'm going off of the opinions I've heard from pretty much every coaster enthusiast ever. There's no need to go on one of your tirades
@John Lorton lol are you trying to prove my point
@@CoasterRoaster I hate Skyrush and I think it should be scrapped just because of the restraints. They should either change the trains or get rid of it and replace it with a B&M.
This was a great video!! The quality of your videos are just getting better and better. Especially all the little things you do like putting the overall rank, number of rides and other stuff switching in the corner these are becoming my favourite part of the day. Yes favourite with a U. Canadian over here.
Im glad people enjoy those little things
Funny, I just watched this same video on Coasterdash's channel! Jokes aside, great video! I also really love Superman the Ride.
Unpopular opinion: Intamin has a top-heavy portfolio...
If you compare them to B&M and RMC yes, but any other manufacturer, definitely not
Personally, I have a lot of them in that 2nd tier but I'm unusual like that
@@AirtimeThrills I think we’re both rmc junkies lol
@@kylebetz9684 well when compared to vekoma or Mack I don’t think that’s too fair either
12:24 Man I love hagrids you know the thing
Is it better or worse than Hagrid's blah blah blah?
As much as I want to see skyrush higher, I’m still glad you put it on this list.
Skyrush: is last
I305: is #10
This enraged the coaster community who punished him severely
hmmmmmm do watch oversimplified?
The original better better be here: Wilderness Run.
Yeah. It’s the best ride at Cedar Point and probably the world. The inversion was my favorite part.
Yeah the inversion gave great hang time
Omg Wilderness Run is insane I’m to scared to go on it
lol
Wilderness Run is too intense for me!
I agree with most of this, except I’d probable put skyrush in the top 3 bc I’m a big skyrush fan, but great video Chris!
Skyrush is my second fav intamin coaster and roller coaster in general. It’s amazing layout with crazy out of your seat airtime is a trip to Hersheypark alone! I will say I haven’t been on an rmc yet but am looking forward to it!
If you can deal with the restraints (which I personally CAN), then Skyrush is amazing. It's so out-of-control !
I rode Hagrid's in January, it wouldn't crack my top 15 Intamins. I'm very close to 500 credits, and it could easily be VelociCoaster or Iron Gwazi that gets that honor. Not bad for a guy whose 150th credit was Steel Vengeance! El Toro & I-305 would barely crack this list for me. I'm old enough to have ridden Wilderess Run in its' first year when it was called Jr. Gemini. I was your 1000th sub, Chris. You'll be hitting 50k subs soon. Congrats!
Another great video. Love the content. I think a top 10 "want to ride" of the international intamins would also be great.
My top 10 right now is:
10. SkyRush
9. Ride of Steel
8. Storm Runner
7. Xcelerator
6. Volcano: The Blast Coaster
5. I-305
4. Maverick
3. Millennium Force
2. El Toro
1. Top Thrill Dragster
Kingda Ka Should really change to the soft straps
Or no restraints
Thanks to New Jersey laws we can't get no straps :/
Yeah they can’t have soft straps. No straps would be nice though lol
@@johanll6321 TRUE
Wilderness Run is the obvious choice for #1
Since you asked, Skyrush and i305 should be in the top 3 😉
I-305 has that horrible trim brake that just kills the ride for me.
I haven’t ridden enough to construct a full list, but all the ones I have ridden are at the bottom 😂 I-305/Volcano & the Hershey trio. Should finally be getting to experience the Cedar point ones this summer!!
Fantastic video as always!
Awesome video, Airtime Thrills. El Toro is world-class and is at my home park!
Great Adventure is a bucket list park for me, and El Toro is no small part of why. I was hoping to finally visit this year, but those plans fell through. Hopefully next year will be it
I'm pretty happy with your placement of my baby, Storm Runner. Hersheypark is my home park and I feel Storm Runner doesn't always get the love it deserves. I am so hopeful they get it fixed and ready for the 2021 season because the day it opens I'll be there and I'm not getting off until they make me!!!
The new skyrush restraints are really good, my most recent trip it felt like the ride was trying to toss me off
FINALLY, someone else who ranks kingda ka over I305! I feel so much better now!
El Toro is my top wood and MF/SROS are my top 2 steel. Well done!
That's the same thing I have been saying about Velocicoaster. The theming looks incredible but the ride looks very graceful.
Thx airtime thrills keep dropping bangers and what do u prefer ejector or floater
Hey Chris! Can we see a video where you rank your favorite/least favorite ride entrance signs?
That’s actually pretty good. I’d watch it.
Thanks for the great and original content. I always enjoy seeing what you come up with next. I rode Superman at SFNE probably 100 times when I lived in MA (2000-2002) and it’s still my 2nd favorite coaster (behind Fury). I am going to visit this year and I’ve heard horror stories about how they “bricked” it which makes me sad but I’m glad I got to experience it when I did. Millennium Force is also underrated. People complain about the lack of airtime but the sustained speed and just the sheer memories of topping 300ft for the first time make it a ride I just can’t help but smiling when I come off of every time. Cedar Point just brings the magic and you can’t explain how or why. They just do.
Totally agree on Millennium Force, it is just so fun, same thing applies to the B&M gigas, they aren’t the most intense or have the best airtime, flying low to the ground at 90mph is just feels plain awesome.
Hagrid's isn't a thrill machine but it's just pure fun and joy. It's the kind of ride you want to ride over and over again. I got two rides on it today and both were as amazing as the first time I rode it a few months ago.
Eh, I consider it as one. Ride is crazy by the end.
What I've ridden:
1. Intimidator 305
2. Maverick
3. Millennium Force
4. Top Thrill Dragster
5. Wicked Twister
6. Disaster Transport
7. Wilderness Run (as Jr. Gemini)
(Wow! Such a diverse list! Lol)
I also wish I could go back before my beloved Superman got those u-bricks. I actually did get four rides on it back in 2008 when it had the t-bars, but I was 10 years old. Ridden it basically every summer since, and the u bricks crush my soul a little bit more each time they touch my lap
Hagrid’s is my #1 Intamin, but I haven’t ridden El Toro, and I haven’t ridden Maverick in a while
Gross
Problem with Kingda Ka being so rough is how elevated the end of the launch track is in the air with only a vertical support, it should have been A Pillar supports towards the end to re enforce the track and stop it from moving side to side so much.
Superman at Six flags NE is the most slept on ride in the country… ride absolutely rocks
Really appreciate the V2 vertical velocity/flash honorable mention
“What intamins would you put in your top 15”
shows green lantern
Ah yes, what an amazing ride
15. Escape from Gringotts
14. Possessed
13. Wicked Twister
12. Fahrenheit
11. Kingda Ka
10. Cheetah Hunt
9. Millenium
8. Storm Runner
7. I-305
6. Top Thrill
5. Maverick
4. Skyrush
3. El Toro
2. Hagrid's
1. Velocicoaster
Of the ones from this video I haven't been on yet: Superman at NE, Volcano the Blast, Xcelerator.
Man, I seriously need to get on more Intamins! The only one I've been on so far is Cheetah Hunt at BGT. However, assuming the borders open and cases aren't too high, I'm hoping to get on those Cedar Point Intamins by the end of summer.
Yay I'm so happy ride of steel clones were here. Superman Ride of Steel has the strongest airtime of any coaster I've ridden, and that includes rides like Maverick, Steel Vengeance, and Raging Bull. When that thing heats up in the summer, man it is so intense too
It's an underrated coaster but no.
Ride of steel is really fun a lot of enthusiast don’t like it because of the helix and straight track but it’s still fun to me I ride it every time at six flags derian lake
I’m so surprised, I’ve been on pretty much all of these! Had no clue I’ve ridden so much.
This really shows what I say about Hersheypark being a Jack of all trades, master of none park. Are its coasters the best of the best? No, but they pack enough of a ride to earn multiple top spots. That can't be said for many Non Cedar Point parks.
I agree, none of their coasters are really top 50 worthy
Glad to see the appreciation for Six Flags New England Superman. Those two clones from the other six flags just seem boring aside from the first drop and a few of the airtime hills. The New England version is truly a beast and the last half of the ride is not nearly as boring as the 2 clones. You can tell Intamin really hit that design out of the park. Six Flags New England got lucky.
El Toro is one of those very few rides you wonder you haven't dreamt it the whole time. A roller-coaster shouldn't be this good, it almost feels inconceivable. I rode with all the hype in the world and it STILL blew me away.
Yikes.
They should give Superman the Ride new trains with the types of restraints that can be found in the newer Intamin coasters.
They used to have those restraints but they got switched for idk what reason, maybe an accident or something
They had the T Bars but got switched due to a fatal accident. The ones I say they should get are not the T bars but the types of restraints that newer Intamin coasters have.
Good idea but might not be affordable
Why not?
@@xcoasterenthusiast oh I understand now, they still probably won’t because they wouldn’t spend the money to change the restraints again. Also they would probably have to do total new trains then. I wouldn’t think that the new restraints would fit on the older trains. remember this picture s Sox flags lol they are cheap
Man,,,take your family to hollywood and start doing voice over work. I wish I had connections because I would hook you up but your voice is great for voice over work. I've said this before. You could do a doc on toilet paper and I would watch.
Great video.
Great video. I've been on about half of these Intamins and was thrilled to see El Toro at #1 (I'm sure I've mentioned before that it's my all-time favorite).
Other random thoughts:
-I am so pissed I only got to ride Volcano once, after graduating high school in the summer of 1999. The next time I went to KD, it was closed for the day, and now it's gone for good (and I did have plans to go last year, now will be this year). I remember it being incredible.
-I LOVE Storm Runner. SO much fun. Skyrush is a tad overrated, after the first drop, it doesn't do that much (the wing seats are cool though).
- Yes, the New England Superman is BY FAR better than the one at America (haven't been to Darien Lake).
- When I first rode Top Thrill Dragster in the summer of 2004 with my ex who was from Michigan, we went on at night and I was wearing yellow and they had those bright racing lights on the launch and all the mosquitos were out. In the front seat, I ended up swallowing a half-dozen mosquitos and when we went to the bathroom after, there were about 20 dead mosquitos on my shirt that I had killed with my speed. Which is why I was SO glad that they didn't use lights on Kingda Ka!
Superman at SFNE with the original T-bars was great!
Skyrush at 15 made me smile Chris
Update: Nosaj cameo. 5:53
It’s a shame that the metal bars were added to Superman at Six Flags America, but since a man had fallen out on the Darien Lake version, they were added. You can be sure a law firm was involved in their addition. I got to experience Superman at New England with the T-bars in ‘04 and the ride rocked. I could be wrong, but this was after the man’s untimely death. I don’t know when the U-bricks were added, but I’m sure that once again, a lawyer was involved in their replacement.
We are one in the same with our thoughts on I-305. I remember riding it opening season before they reprofiled the turn. The “gray out” was much more intense, and I loved it. The next year when I went back, it just wasn’t the same! I still like it, but intensity isn’t always my favorite.
I agree on Velostacoaster being overhyped. I've watched testing more times than I can count. It seems a lot slower than other blitz style coaster. I know this won't be popular but it looks slow in several sections. (assumption) Intamin made it more tame considering it's still a family coaster like Cheeta? Islands seems to make as many rides as they can 'family friendly'.
Themeing is spot on and the ride vehicles are beautiful IMO. It seems to be the total package only *possibly* not as intenses/slower than expected. Of course we'll see once it's officially opened to the public.
Velostacoaster was a beast!
I was at King’s Dominion during a vacation to see my great aunts. Intimidator305 is a BEAST! Sent me flying out of my seat more than once.
For the first year, my daughter could not stay conscious through the first turn, not until they installed trim breaks and rebuilt it.
@@vapoet makes sense. 😎I think I grayed out on that first turn.🤔
@@vapoet Trims are gone now I think
@@theduck9591 They were able to remove them once the first curve was fixed. The G's were insane those first few months.
The Velocicoaster prediction didn't age well.
I’m definitely not an enthusiast but I’ve enjoyed a lot of video from enthusiasts. Your comment at on Velocicoaster is one that I have about for a while regarding the enthusiast community. I’m not certain the ride itself is going to be what enthusiasts look for in a coaster. But the experience will enhance the image of it.
I just don’t see Velocicoaster being that high on enthusiasts’ lists.
The reason why Ka is rougher than dragster is because the track at the end of the launch and bottom of the drop is high off the ground and lacks lateral supports.
If Cheetah Hunt had more inversions and went as fast as Maverick, it would be much better
chris from a year ago would be shocked to see thighcrush making this list
I just can’t wrap around why u like toro but not skyrush excluding the restraints, they both have 4 of the strongest airtime moments on earth and the rest is filler, a great first drop, 2 camelbacks, and one smaller hill towards the end, these rides are almost identical to me, yet u praise toro for its elements and say u don’t care about how it’s not complete yet u complain about skyrush being filler and boring, it’s just so inconsistent and it seems like ur contradicting ur self
I have Toro, Superman the Ride, Maverick as my top 3 overall and Dragster, Ka and Millennium Force all being in my top 15.
My Intiman Coaster ranking:
1. I-305
2. Skyrush
3. Stormrunner
4. Superman Ride of Steel
5. Volcano
6. Fahrenheit.
7. Possessed
You statement about velocicoaster being overhyped didn't age well.
Truth
Hey to each his own. KD is my home park and i love I305, will always prefer Maverick and Millennium Force over it.
Coincidence Coaster Dash uploaded a VERY SIMILAR video near a VERY SIMILAR time?
Probably, idk man
I almost left after skyrush at 15 but continued on then I see you put Maverick behind the millennium forceless, the terrible restraints of superman, and the worlds roughest coaster el toro. Oh hell no
I've only been on 2 on this list. But atleast one of those is number one! My favourite intamin is between that and taron.
Not VelociCoaster being a crazy thrill ride
Sees I305 and Skyrush very early( keep watching, you support Chris 🤣) This is what makes being an enthusiast so unique. coasters are unique to each individual. No OPINION is wrong, I respect it 👌🏿
I can't really judge your ranking because I am not from the us. But I'll give my top 5 in Europe from the ones that I've ridden.
1. Taron
2. Expedition Geforce
3. Colossos
4. Goliath (NL)
5. Desert Race.
Basically every intamin that I ride makes my top 10 list and these were the only ones that I've ridden so far
All these Intamin Coasters were great! Except for some.
Eltororyan has a video going into more detail on why kingda ka is rough, but it has something to do with the launch being higher off the ground, and the trains being more topheavy. I also haven't seen anything about a law requiring rides over 400 feet to have over the shoulder restraints, so if you have anything, feel free to put it in the replies
edit: have you ridden sandys blasting bronco?
It’s rides which are over 300ft not 400. SFGAd we’re going to built a 300ft star flyer but then they decided not to and built a 250ft tall one with lap bars instead

Don't expect Hagrid to be that good, it has some fun launches and good theming but aside from that, it has no airtime and is generally just a mediocre ride.
So if I don't care much for theming I shouldn't expect to like it?
@@David-gj9qr yeah, pretty much
I've been on storm runner, kingda ka, superman ride of steel, and Fahrenheit.
What about American Eagle at Six Flags Great America?
Yo guys jus dont forget America is a continent not a country
Well I've only ridden Escape from Gringotts, which I didn't even know was an Intamin 😂
Fun fact: Hagrid's is the most expensive coaster ever made, a cost of $300 million dollars, beating out Expedition Everest.
That's not a real figure. It's a bad estimate from the same analyst that overestimated the costs of WWoHP by double or more. Tron on the other hand, is the actual most expensive coaster and was actually $300m.
@@rushtest4echo737 No; Hagrid's was actually $300m.
I haven’t even had the chance to ride El Toro but I’d rank it #1 simply because the airtime I’ve seen on POV vids
bro... come on, the original intamin. the kitty coaster number 3 on my list.
That Green Lantern at the end xD .
To be honest, Top Thrill Dragster is easily my favorite Intamin at Cedar Point, and I even place it higher than Steel Vengance lol
I mean I see your point but it’s almost always broken
Imo skyrush number 2, but I guess because of how you feel about it...
Hershey should have gotten a prefab with the same layout as Skyrush instead of Skyrush. Hear me out, the restraints on El Toro are so much better and that ride is just as aggressive. I know from the GP perspective people might have not been as drawn in by it initially because they were familiar with El Toro but in the long run I think it would have been better even from that perspective. That plus to anyone that says Skyrush's restraints need to be as aggressive as they are, they don't. El Toro is the proof.
You messed up, you need to get I305 over King da Ka. Cmon now 👍
I spent $60 and drove 3 hours to Great Adventure to ride Ka and El Toro. Though we had a pretty successful day (we rode most of what we wanted) I never got to ride El Toro :(
Only Intamin I’ve been on is Cheetah Hunt but I’m going to KD this year and I won’t be surprised if I305 ends up in my top 3
Personally, I think pantheon has the potential to top my list, if my rides on El Toro this year aren’t very good
You should make your top 10 or 15 most ridden coasters.
As someone who personally got upset with the removal of SFNE superman tbars, it was so much better.
I already know sky rush is going to be on here 😂
Edit: wow it is lol
I’m hoping Cheetah Hunt will be high on this list!
Edit: it was, but I won’t spoil what place! Personally it is my favorite but I haven’t ridden many good Intamins
I'm here to say I fully agree with your review of Skyrush. I finally went to Hershey this summer and was expecting that ride to be my number one, but in no way we're you ever exaggerating about how much that lap bar interferes with the ride.
I genuinely didn’t expect to make I305 my number 2 overall when I visited and didn’t even expect it to be my favorite in the park, but when I hit the brakes and felt like I was thrown through a hurricane there was a genuine fear and adrenaline that 90% if rides don’t offer so that’s why i have it high personally
3 out of your top 5 at my park where I am at daily? Yeah. I am very lucky.
