In todays video i explain why comparing wPopoff to Zoink doesnt make sense when trying to evaluate the skill of each player or determine the future of the game in terms of potential top extreme demon verifications. Both of them could verify aeternus, both of them beat tidal wave, chill out basically, we all play Geometry Dash. (Wavix say something about a topic without triggering an entire fanbase challenge (top 1 extreme demon) part 34)

I think comparing the two of them makes sense for only the level they are playing, like if wpopoff was verifying acheron redux pro and zoink is choosing to play a top 30, that doesn’t mean zoink doesn’t have the capability of verifying acheron redux pro, Comparing certain people like top players for not beating a level first or verifying it first doesn’t make one better then the other, even if the other one might be better

I think Trick, Doggie, Zoink and Popoff aren't even the only ppl that could verify the next top 1. I think people have been WAY too quick to discount the possibility of cuatrocientos verifying Flamewall relatively soon, and there are plenty of other top 1 projects that aren't being verified by one of the top 4 players. In fact, APT is probably the only serious contender for next top 1 that IS being verified by one of them: Grief is probably ages away, and Zoink and Popoff don't seem to have any imminent major grinds.
wpopoff is verifying kom remake and vehemence man, for kom maybe it's still far from being verified, but for vehemence I can see it being the next top 1

I don't know (or care) who is better--the only reason wPopoff seems to be doing better is because he has a lot of recent monumental achievements (beating Tidal Wave, beating Slaughterhouse three times in a row, and fluking Abyss of Darkness from 61% in 4 days with an attempt world record) whereas Zoink hasn't really been playing the game as much recently. However, if he were more active at the moment, he'd probably be making just as many monumental achievements as wPopoff is now, just like he did in his time. I think eventually wPopoff could reign as the #1 top player in the game, but only once Zoink fully quits. Keep in mind, Zoink is 16 whereas wPopoff is only 14--that might not sound like much of a difference, but age 16 is right at the doorway to adult life, making many decisions with personal life, whereas 14 is a more ripe age with more free time. That might explain why wPopoff has been more active recently.
Sorry for "essay posting," but it was necessary to express how I feel about the situation.

I feel like trick is extremely underrated in this comparison i feel like trick Wpopoff and zoink are all 3 equally as good sure popoff beat slh 3x and zoink beat the main list but trick could also do both of these
For which one of these player are better they are all equal (but going by achievements Zoink easily wins) but thats not to say the trick or popoff couldn’t do it
(Also about doggie i don’t want to take credit from him but ngl in my opinion trick zoink and popoff beat levels faster and i would say that they are all better than doggie) no hate to doggie btw ❤

Ive always looked up to zoink ever since i heard about the demon list and top 1s after i started playing, but that doesnt mean that i think zoink is better than popoff, i think its really hard to compare two extremely skilled players

What I took from this video is we need to compare zoink, wpopoff and doggie together then instead of just zoink and wpopoff.
Don't forget Raevez with Silent Acropolis or Cuat with flamewall, and there's probably more top 1s being verified by other people

i mean in a game fanbase where comparing which level is hardest is the norm (the demonlist), comparing top player is unavoidable. I think comparing top players is okay to a point, as long as it's a healthy conversation and each party respecting each other's opinion.
I was waiting for someone to make this, it’s kinda stupid to do this in my opinion. They are both good players. They’ve both beaten slaughterhouse and tidal wave. They’ve done a lot of things and I think they are around the same skill level. I believe that wpopoff could overtake zoink one day, but as of now, they are definitely around the same skill level.

The common sense in this video, and its quality is great. Especially since you came to this conclusion by yourself from the other side of it. Its earned both me glazing the video and me subscribing.
This makes sense because one of the main caveats that I see is that popoff is 14 and Zoink is 16

I think we should acknowledge that all these people are extremely talented at the game instead of putting them against each other. Also the definition of skill in gd is very subjective to me so I don't really see much of a point in the first place

You mean the opposite? Popoff just recently verified Ordinary, which uses 2.2 effects I'm pretty sure.

It’s not about difficulty it’s an what your good at. Say you are good with ship a ship based top 1 you’ll beat easier than something you not good at say wave. Tidal wave would be a hassle because you have less skill on wave

Wpopoff and Zoink have different types of skill. Wpopoff has the skill of speed and efficiency and Zoink has the skill of consistency. There for you cant really compare them.
