He’s got blocks on either side. He is 1-1 with a defensive back. Fakes a slide to slow him down and then runs through the tackle attempt.

Following through with effort until the ball is whistled dead is what separates the champions from the chumps.
The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't want to win and they got what they wanted. Nothing.
Two of the Steelers secondary were just plain lazy once Allen got deep into the secondary. The safety Fitzpatrick (#39) and cornerback Peterson (#20) both just stopped trying, thinking Allen would get tackled straight away by safety Kazee (#23). Meanwhile, the Bills downfield blockers showed follow-through, no matter what the odds were that Allen would be tackled.
Peterson allowed himself to be pushed out of the way as Kazee closed on Allen. Meanwhile, Fitzpatrick allowed himself to be pushed downfield and out of position. Neither guy was fighting to get to the ball!
If you're *anybody* on D and someone is rushing past the line of scrimmage, then you should be fighting to get to the ball or at least containing that rush. Otherwise, you are not doing your basic job! These guys were just lazy on the second half of that play. Kazee missed, but he was at least trying.
Again, effort separates the champions from the chumps.
