Not to mention something that always drives me nuts about these kinds of comparisons, Josh Allen isn't playing against Mahomes. He's playing against the Chiefs defense. The only team that might have a better defense than us this year is the Ravens.
Keep in mind the Chiefs were one dropped pass and a no-call on a DPI away from being the number two seed. The Bills have had some head scratching losses and their garbage time points vs the Steelers made that look like a much bigger win than it was.

NO ONE was happy about being forced to pay extra to watch an NFL Payoff game. I paid in December to watch the Bills on Peacock and luckily this game was within a month so I didn’t have to pay for 2 months.

History is on the Chiefs' side in this one. For as good as Josh Allen is in the regular season, he always finds a way to lose in the playoffs. Mahomes always makes a deep playoff run, if not a Super Bowl title. Granted, he's never played a playoff game on the road, and his receivers have never dropped this many passes, but you just can't count the Chiefs out in the playoffs with Mahomes behind center.
Especially with this year's KC D. The first time they played, Bolton, Tranquill, and Cook were out. Bolton and Tranquill are playing this weekend. Coming into that game, BUF was coming off the bye and KC wasn't. This week, BUF has 6 days rest compared to KC's 8. The last game, BUF also had a higher sense of urgency. One loss and they were likely out of the playoffs.

I’m never counting Patrick Mahomes out in the Playoffs. However, Allen only has 2 more picks than Mahomes and he has 17 more touchdowns. This year, Allen has played better than Mahomes. I would trust Mahomes more with the football, but as currently constructed, I have seen nothing to make me believe Allen won’t put up more points on the scoreboard. And as great as Kansas City’s defense is, there’s not much you can do when it’s 3rd and long and Allen suddenly takes off on a 20 yard run bulldozing over defenders.
Interceptions for Mahomes are misleading this year though. I've seen at least 2 INT's go right through a receivers hands into the hands of the defense - one for a pick six (Toney) and one against the Patriots. The receiving core has been below average this year, but they can redeem themselves
