Dear santa...
HAHA
don't even think about it..
I'd lose my mind w/ the maintenance interval requirements. Imagine it being slightly off and trying to fix it after every shoot only to realize something came loose and the rig fell apart dropping the products on the floor broken.
This video would have been brilliant if they didnt use the caveman messurement system
in just 7 years such robotic arms have gotten compact and such amazingly fast and accurate. In 5 years from now, ie 2025 cinematography would be totally diff from now.
Amazing engineering.

Crazy how the actual camera is pointing downward at a MIRROR lol... At first, I thought the mirror was for a teleprompter, but then I saw the camera pointed straight down at it & was like wth. Crazier part is that this vid is like 6 years old & i'm still fascinated lol.
This is a 3D setup. There are two cameras and the mirror is semipermeable. That means one camera "looks" at the mirror from a 45° angle and the other one "looks" through the mirror. Thats because the cameras are to big to be side by side.
but with which camera this video was created !? :)
5:29 I'm pretty shure this is where they're shooting the tunnel scene from Harry Potter 7-1.

You can only hire I think
a lot
Enough for your spouse to divorce you if you ever financed one.
they are for rent only
you can buy a 32 ft cinema camera crane for $3k. no where near as good as this. But it's still possible to get nice shots with it
I want this for my red epic.
Well actually i don't have one :)
Wooooooooooooow!
the cameras alone cost about 150k with only the stuff to use them
not really. You should be able to use an alexa with it that is priced around 80k
what's even more funny is that the camera they are actually using. from Red is actually priced around 50k
Tryst Films
thats just the body, you need batteries, battery holder thing, ssd "mag", monitor...
Yes, add 10-20K in stuff to actually be able to use a Red realistically since it is all proprietory
actually no when I said around $50k I already added battery and necessarily costs. The camera isn't that much. do your research
dear santa....
Wich is the song??? I love it
