@@UpswingBaseball I would be legitimately afraid of hitting against him. That wild pitching motion with his grunting is scary man. Him having two different colored eyes certainly doesn't help.
Gamer Boi He has multiple Cy Young Awards, multiple nonos, a 20k game and a WS ring. Did you know he is the second pitcher to do this? Did you know who else did it? Randy Johnson
@@gamerlife4276 Yeah, but where is that dominance when it truly matters? This is the postseason you ain't facing the Padres, the Rockies or any of those bad teams. He chokes when pitching to good team's when it matters and his playoff stats are absolute proof.
@@TheGeorgeD13 Dude, unfortunately he's a regular season legend that will always be remembered as a huge choker come October. No one will forget. Why? One answer: The internet. The Internet never forgets. No matter how many times Kershaw will be mentioned, there will always be the people that will bring up his lack of playoff success. Sure, no one remembers Williams as a choker now, but back then you didn't always have the people on social media bringing up the fact that he was a choker and the articles and videos about it. Eventually people forgot since no one constantly reminded them. I don't think that will happen in this day and age regardless if we like it or not.
This guy’s my favorite non-Astros player, and even though he won the World Series at my team’s expense I was happy he finally got it done. He’s a beast.
@@brianwymer7812 true, but the timing also matters. I think what Max did in game 7 when he clearly wasnt 100% was the biggest accomplishment of the finals.
We've seen not merely "Mad Max", but "Angry Max" (when he came in after getting a black eye in BP). And with the way he and Stras fed off each other, it's what rotations WISH for. (Throw in that BOTH came out of the pen in the postseason? Yikes!!!!!)
Max scherzer is a TERRIFYING player. An absolute animal at the mound, 6'3, the cursing out the batter at the mound, his eye doesnt make it any better. If i were batting against him, i would be completely TERRIFIED Great dude irl tho
He's the closest thing I've ever seen to Bob gibson. At their peaks they were incredibly dominant and were always the biggest competitor on the field on either side
Scherzer is my favorite player, but saying he "dominated all postseason long" is not correct, as he gave up early home runs that nearly killed the Nats in the wild card game. Though got 1-0, Scherzer labored a lot in his WS performances, tossing 100+ pitches in just 5 innings each.
True, but in all if those outings hew as able to keep it close and give his team a chance to win. That's all you need. Most regular pitchers would not have been able to bare down and keep it close like Max did. Although I agree he was not dominant. Just good enough. Strasburg was the dominant one.
The fact that he clearly wasn’t at the peak of his game or health and still did what he needed to give the Nats a win every game he started goes to show who Max is. The guy is a warrior in some ways it was more impressive that he did what he did because he didn’t always have his best stuff and still battled through.
As I said, Scherzer is my favorite player, and I don't really have problem with him. What I disagree here is the way this video's title and description giving a false impression about his 2019 postseason performances.

Jacob Flowers yeah lol ikr!
Glad he got a ring. One of the best in the last 5 years.
On of the greatest period
He's probably in the top 15 starters of all time. You just don't see many pitchers as dominant as Scherzer in baseball.
@@YodaPM999 And that's the key, he's dominant

I’m a Dodger fan but Max Scherzer will always be one of my favorite pitchers
Nats fan here and I would be lying if I said I didn't like Walker Buehler. You guys have a star in the making.
aged like wine
Welcome to the #Dodgers Max. Rather have you on the team than face you for sure.
Wow
you manifestated it
At this point, his follow-through is iconic.
So glad he finally got the ring. Always been one of my fav players.
One of my favorite pitchers and I’m a Mets fan.
Sure you’re happy now haha
It is really entertaining to see Scherzer pitch it makes the game more entertaining
He basically pulled a non-Kershaw
Savage
Hes the anti-kershaw

But that's just it, because of the Astros' cheating, the question becomes whether or not Kershaw is actually bad.
He is alien. I respect mad max :-)
So glad I bought that autographed ball in 2013
First Ballot HOF. Warrior. Great teammate and Leader. Well deserved World Series Championship. Thrilled for Mad Max!
Scherzer did good but Strasberg did way better 5 wins no losses 47 Ks and a 1.98 era in in the same amount of games as Scherzer
i agree, but Offense was better in Stras's games.
otherwise Max wouldve had a better win record too.
both are MONSTERS
Yes but who was better in the regular season
He wasn't even 100% healthy I thought? I thought he did well
“He’s a baaaaaad man!”

Should have been co MVP's with Sherzer and Rendon also included. Just not right to give it solely to Straus.
Give MVPs to the entire team. Everyone played a factor. Unfortunately, there can only be one. Yes, it's not fair, but it is what it is.
