Bought the death penalty album in 82..Best investment I made as a young kid..Loved Zeebs voice
Awesome stuff Dunsy! More Witchfinder General please!
Great band! Will do a full lesson for this in the drop tuning and normal tuning.
I can't believe you're playing WITCHFINDER ❤❤❤....OMGOSH!!! LOVE this band....for decades...❤❤❤from gma in Ontario Canada
Damn, so cool you covering that band! And their album covers are great too!
Definitely controversial at the time, for sure! Great band and probably the lowest of tunings I had ever heard back then.
OMGOSH I'm so fkn happy I found this group
I love the General ! Good job Bruh ,!
OMG I LOVE THIS BAND🤘🏻
Hell yeah!
Your doin Gods work Mr. Dunsy Sir!
Bringing obscure Metal to the Masses!
One of my faves!! Awesome job!!
I was thinking about you showing the album cover the other week there! 🤘😄. Still love to do a video with ya at some point to discuss this era from a viewpoint from both sides of the pond.
Yeah 🤘 thank you cheers mate 🍺🍺
Always happy to share The Metal 🤘🍺
That explains why the strings have so much play
9’s on a Gibson scale at C standard = almost impossible to keep in tune too! 😆
Ozzy number 2
Hi Dunsy, you sure have alot of albums and alot of music I don't know at all. Long story short a girl I lived with left all my albums out in the rain and by the time I got home from work they were ruined.
Oh man, that's nasty, all those albums gone?!
There’s just something about low tuned guitars in the 70s and early 80s that didn’t have such an extreme amount of gain, venom, sabbath, witchfinder general, candlemass, Motorhead etc
Yeah, that's actually a great point - on this I think I just used a Marshall, nothing too high gain at all. Totally different sound than you hear these days from folks who are way down in C standard.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld I do like the later sound of lower tuned guitars, like the 90s death metal sound. I like both the 70s/80s tones and the 90s tones equally
Man, I always figured they were in C#. It's crazy they were just a half step above Carcass.
Yeah, this is low! I was using 9-42 strings as well, could hardly keep a barre chord in tune!
@@DunsysGuitarWorld I use 10-46 and it's bad enough in C# lol
Love that record, still have the OG vinyl!
Weird tuning...can you play it in open tuning as well for us?
No problem - will do a lesson that features both the album tuning and how to play it in standard tuning too.
