By the way Wander, DRG original has overclocks too, not just Survivor. The entire concept of overclocks was inspired by the original DRG.
In fact, some of Survivor's overclocks are inspired by specific overclocks from DRG original, including the Flamethrower's fire trail overclock you mentioned (in DRG it's called Sticky Fuel, though technically DRG's Flamethrower leaves fire trails by default, Sticky Fuel just makes it last longer and do more damage). You unlock overclocks once you get at least one class promoted, hence why many DRG players consider your first promotion to be when the game really starts.
As for the weapons, Survivor only has a few weapons that aren't in DRG (specifically the drones, bug taser, and non-default turrets). Everything else was in DRG first, and you get the option to unlock them in the assignment terminal as you level up the respective classes. Every class gets three primary weapons, three secondaries, and four grenades each to choose from, and each weapon has roughly 5-7 possible overclocks. So there is a lot of customization, you just need to get to it first.
the hoarder is just an uncommon bug to spawn, but it would be very funny to have an easter version of it

The overclocks are in this, they just don't get unlocked till late game.
Assuming you're playing on keyboard, you can hold Ctrl to bring up a laser pointer, if you aim it at an enemy and click that enemy will get an outline that you and your team can see through walls, VERY useful for that space bunny, and you can also bring attention to dangerous enemies too!

4:50 Mineral hoarders have a random (low) chance to spawn in any map. Even in Deep Dives you may get one.
When you hear one REEEEEEEEE, kill it as fast as possible or it dissapears into the wall. Rarely you will spot it before it sees you, ask support to take it down.
I really like the DRG Series. You can tell how they all come from the same world even though Survivor is a 2d top down, bullet heaven type of game, and this is more a 3rd person FPS. I can see similarities in the bugs and in the ores and such. Mining is still somewhat of a focus, The Dwarves are kind of related.

You know, DRG Survivors does replicate the should-I-be-mining-or-shooting conundrum of the main game rather well. Most times, you could be doing either mining/objectives or shooting/other combat actions and be making similar amounts of progress in either game. It's an interesting nuance over more standard designs where more damage, faster, is the main consideration.

I'm American and in the "likes Twizzlers" camp, but I do kind of wish there was a little...more? Like, a slightly stronger flavor. I don't think they taste like plastic by any means, they just don't taste like very much.
this game is great i got it a month and half ago. Been having a blast.
I’ve been playing like crazy the last couple of weeks because my usual gang got tired of Helldivers, and honestly, I feel DRG is overall a much better game for random play.
Throwing grenade not flash is just how i play drg at this point
I love rhapsody, he is chaos incarnate in form of yes and. Helldivers is worth the initial 40 investment and more, it is live service done better than right.

Man, I always wanted to play this game, i bought it maybe 2 years ago, but my friends didn't like it, so i didn't feel like i could play it by myself...

i played about 300/1200 missions by myself and you can play in rando lobbies which are very chill usually so, do with that what you will
Palying with randoms is fun too
It's even fun solo, I play almost entirely solo these days. However solo is admittedly an acquired taste. If that's not your thing then you can play with randoms, and this game generally has a much friendlier online community than many others, so you shouldn't encounter many toxic players.
Honestly you could join Open Loby and having blast playing the game. I can even make new friends in this game.
