I just bought a 2024 EX (non-hybrid). So far, it's been a great ride. Smooth, comfortable and best of all, no turbo lag. And plenty of power for a 4-cyl power-plant. Highly recommended.
Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your purchase!
Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but I love the new accords style. It combines the style of 80s Japanese sedans and modern Japanese sedans very well. Especially those tail lights. I love it
I have had the 2024 Honda Accord EX for almost two weeks and I love it. Have a black interior and exterior, the cloth seats are comfy and the interior is very roomy, especially in the back. The cabin is also VERY quiet when driving and the car has been fun to drive so far. I upgraded from an '08 Accord EX-L V6 and while I feel like my V6 got better gas mileage, I'll give it some more time seeing as I've only driven the car 450 miles 😂 The roof of the car in the back is a little low, but the interior with the honeycomb design and digital gague dashboard is sleek. Love it so far
We just bought an Accord EX over a comparable CRV for our daughter in the red with the tan interior and she loves it. We spent several hours in it on a drive this past weekend and it was a pleasant experience. It’s got plenty of power and space and is the perfect car for a young driver commuting to and from work or school.
Agree! Hope she continues to enjoy her new car!
Two months ago I just bought this Honda Accord EX I love everything about this car it’s performance is great!
Very nice demonstration thanks for showing us😊
The 2024 looks great looks much more mature than the 10th gen accord.
And honestly the tail lights look like an aftermarket design, looks great 👍
Is a weak motor coming out from a 2015 civic 1.5t. They need to put the V6 back in.
won't happen. People speak with their wallets and they want more fuel efficient engines. V6 is less fuel efficient than the 1.5.
I just got one and I love it
Great review Tom.
I just got one. I love it.
I'm really liking what I see. I've never owned a Honda, driven one once, and always liked it. I'm researching a replacement for our 2009 Chevy Taho (hate it). My daughter is graduating high school so I was looking into something she can I can share because she is planning to go into the Air Force. I like the nonhybrid, because like you said, the expense of replacement parts and upkeep expense is less expensive. The technology of this vehicle seems simple, and easy to use. I really like it. I enjoyed your review.
I’ve had 3 Accords. They’re amazingly reliable. Love them!
The 2023 - 2024 Honda Accord is one of the best designed cars yet. The rear tail lights are a huge improvement, the straight line dash with mesh designed air vents looks great! My only grip is it doesn't have the 12.3 infotainment screen nor does it have the interior Ambient Lighting as the model released in Japan.
Love it. Got the EX last week. ‘23.
Beautiful
awesome video! for the price i think i might have to get my fiance this car
Nice. I’m thinking about upgrading my ‘12 civic manual coupe.
Tailights are a million times better then the older model. I hate boomerang style taillights with a passion 👎🏻
I agree with you about the moon roof. I have never understood anyone actually wanting this "feature". I actually hate these. They are a senseless accident waiting to happen.
They also can leak. Happened to my Infiniti and my sister’s Subaru.
I think it’s a beautiful design
Just bought one 4 hours ago. So far so good. Lol
How much did it cost?
i suppose if your driving on streets and hwy you wont need all wheel drive or 4 wd but it helps car could use a digital map guide
Is road noise less of an issue at higher trim levels? I had a terrible time with that in my 2018 Sport.
I love the remote start
my 2017 accord has that feature
I agree with you on the moon roof/ sun roof. I wish all models allowed you to choose no sun roof or sun roof. For those of us that don’t want one, it really limits what models we can buy.
I have the 2023 EX and very happy with it. I don’t need a heated steering wheel and I do have a spare tire. This is not a hybrid. You do get a spare with a non-hybrid. I also get 47 mile per gallon combined. I think that’s the rating for the hybrid, so why go hybrid? That said I am a fairly sedate driver. No jackrabbit starts if I can avoid it. It would be nice to have all-wheel drive however. and I wish the center console had heater vents and USB ports like the upper trims. PS.. I don’t need SiriusXM built into the car because I can use my phone with Apple CarPlay and it doesn’t cost me a dime extra same goes for Navigation.
How do you get 47 mpg combined if you don't mind me asking?
@@maheerazad1068 i'm pretty easy on the accelerator. My jackrabbit start days are done. My most recent tank of gas was almost all in town driving and I got 39. That's the lowest I've ever got on a tank I don't do anything special I just drive nice and easy.
@@jibberny512 Awesome! Yeah I've only driven 500 miles in mine and am taking a road trip tomorrow so wanted to get your thoughts. I'm planning on driving nice and easy on the thruway tomorrow so looking forward to it! Very enjoyable car to drive.
I have the 2023 EX non Hybrid. How do you 47 combined? The best I’ve gotten freeway was 45 with perfect conditions.
Is the EX turbo?
That car looks dope asf
Wow a 1.5 with a history of oil dilution issues and a CVT.
Talk a bout a win-win.
What was that bright orange button was that for the starting of the car? You should have pointed that out
What gas is recommended? 91?
This car is a good value if you can get it below MSRP, but it's so close in price to the Sport model with hybrid powertrain I would encourage a buyer to at least consider the hybrid if their budget allows. I have an EX-L and believe its the best value of all Accord trims in terms of gas mileage, infotainment screen,, rear vents and USB hookups, and wheel design. The only feature I miss that the Touring offers is the JBL stereo. The Touring is just too expensive for me at over $40,000.
But with the sport it doesn’t come with heated seats that’s the only downside but the EX the EX-L Sports-L and the Hybrid comes with heated seats.
Is there any difference with the 2023 versus the 2024 Honda Accord EX body like did the backlight change or did something change or is it all just the same car?
No difference at all they’re legit the same vehicles so from 23 until the next 3 years they will all look the same every 5 years Honda changes the design haha.
Hey, I bought a Honda accord ex 2024. The manual shows I can fuel it up by 87 octane or higher but in the Honda website it says 91 or higher after September 2023. I am not confused on what gas to use! People on Reddit and other platforms are discussing that turbo engine with increase in compression ratio from 10:3 to 10:6 makes it demanding for premium fuel and is also a reason why people are facing head gasket issue with low grade fuel. I think most of the accord 2024 owners like me are confused on what to do. Well I don’t want to be the one paying 2800$ for head gasket fix and fuel up with premium gas now if it saves the gasket. Can you suggest something in this topic ?
Congrats on the new car🩵 but question what was your total after all of the fees?
If the manual states 87 put 87. If something breaks in the future and its linked to the fuel type Honda MUST legally fix it because 1) You were misinformed (manual) and 2) You received no notification in writing by Honda directing you to pump 91 octane. Simple concept to understand 🤷🏻♀️
needs to be bigger with chrome accents. A 1971 Ford LTD is a REAL family car big enough for the whole family with comfort
The hybrid has the same amount of space for the spare tire. The engineers for Honda claim they didn't include it on that version to save weight and maximize fuel economy.
The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these deficiencies will be resolved.
I was also disappointed Honda removed native support for SiriusXM radio, but you can have it piped from your phone. You can still get Sirius to give you a free 3-month trial, and you can get a special rate of as low as $8/month for XM service. One benefit of going through a phone subscription is access to the bonus app channels that weren't offered through native app in Honda cars. For this EX you would always have to plug in phone for XM or any other content or music app, like Audible, but hybrid trims offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The interior is no better than my 2017 Ford Fiesta S model. That surprises me.
They still make those cheap cars?
No padding on the door armrests?
gets easily dirty and turns white
They should’ve kept the older design, now I can’t tell if it’s a civic or an accord
this car is way 2 big to mistake for a civic
I agree, its seems to be similar in size to the civic.
I can't say that I am crazy about the outdated style of this Accord.
Having no air vents or connectivity in the back is inexcusable!
It's stupid of Honda not to include the side mirror turn signals. This is a safety feature that is mandatory in most countries as is amber rear turn signals. Idk why USA and Canada do not adopt this.
I have the 2023 and it has it.
I think it resembles a Audi 8
Does EX has navigation?
It does not have built in nav included. CarPlay or Android auto also still requires a cable for connection.
@@mgpgmglg thanks
Honda Civic 11th gen v Accord 11th gen .....which one is the best?
your so funny lol
Imagine something like this but American with the front bench seats and column shifter? Too bad they failed Ford!
No leather steering wrap wheel. Wow! My daughter's Chevy Sonic has one. Honda gives you urethane. I like the looks of it though. Cloth seat materials look cheap.
Does this Accord have comfortable seats? Toyota usually eats Honda's lunch on seat comfort and support.
Based on my short test drive, yes. I wish I had more time in the seat to give you an answer for longer drives but I am sure someone who owns an Accord similar to this one can provide an answer.
I disagree with you. I have a 2017 accord with a 10-way power seat and its super comfy. I rented a camry one time and thought the seats were way more uncomfortable.
Lost me on the 1.5 litre engine. Just too small. I have the V-6 and it's great. Mileage is decent as well.
30+k for rubber steering wheel. Ha ha!
I have owned a Honda since 2000 and the newer Accord look better than the 2022 version. To me since the 2017 Accord they try to make it look more domestic. I miss the more sleek look the Accord use to have.
NO it does not
@@themunchies123 well in my opinion it does.
@@Retrocollector84 i agree with ur last sentence. They butchered the old looking sleek accord design with this
To me it makes no sense. Toyota Camry Hybrid 2025 base model is just under 30k before taxes and fees. Game over. Honda better come up with a solid Hybrid option to compete. Who cares about a spare tire when gas prices go only higher ?
I'm sick of all this electronic crap. There is a huge majority of people that don't want it. How about just making a solid, reliable car. As someone who drives their car till the wheels fall off, all this electronic non-sense *IS* eventually going to break. Plan on it.
And Honda's vendor for all these electronic gadgets *WILL* eventually *end-of-life* the components. Then what do you do? You're SOL..., that's what.
yeah, Hondas aren't reliable. lmao.
What’s the price 2024 ex accord anyone????
I had an opportunity to get it for 32k, out the door, but I’m a little concerned about 1.5t engine. I still have a little interest in it, though.
It's just Fugly. Honda used to make such nice looking cars.
No turbo 4 cyl for me. Never.
I don’t like the rear end tail lights on this model, it makes the car ugly. Honda should have use the 2024 CR-V rear tail light concept or just stick to 2018 rear tail light concept.
Ugh. Where are the improvements?? No more beige interior. No back vents, or charging ports, no blinker on side mirrors. So many downgrades!
1992 renault safrane 😂😂😂
Honda has butchered the Accord since 2016.
Agreed. They are hideous.
The only thing about the Ex and Lx. The engine will last longer than the hybrid. It is a slow car and it will save you more money. I own one, and it makes no difference from the hybrid, just that it is a slow pickup. The downfall about these videos doesn't show people how regret honda ruins the car. If I were you and didn't buy it yet, go for a civic, camry, corolla, and K5.
Why? I’m curious. I have the 2023 which looks the same and so far it’s been good.
I don't know how many miles on your but my car only at 8,000 mile and it already have recall
@@truelee8973mine has 6500 and haven’t had a recall
Nobody's buying the newer ones because they're not made in Japan now they're made in the USA. They no longer have that Japanese quality
Hell na
I can't believe they didn't put any fabric below the rear speakers just bare metal not even any rear vents. New cars r garbage
No sunroof at all. The bigger the sunroof the less structural rigidity.
5 time honda owner. This new accord is hideous.
think of it as anti theft security
Nahh
Agreed
Amen...! I test drove a Civic and the seats were really, really cheap. $29,100.00 for a Civic Sport with a few thousand $ discount.
I think I'll keep my '03 TL for another year or two. It's been a dream of a car...
Thank you for being honest… what’s crazy is they look even WORSE in person…
Accords have been great vehicles for decades now. Unfortunately, they are now gut wrenchingly ugly. It's as if Honda isn't even trying to make them look attractive anymore since their SUVs seem to be their top sellers. Meanwhile, Toyota is still building good looking cars. The current and upcoming Camry are both well done and attractive. Please Honda, go back to making good looking Accords. This current model is horrible.
This car looks very nice going down the freeway especially if you tint the windows.
Agreed! Seems they are going to finally kill off the company as they just made a major commitment to produce EVs.
Huge mistake.
A complete cheaped out Accord. A total disappointment. I will NOT be trading my 2013 for this sad excuse of a Honda product. The deletions are glaringly missing. Not to mention that hideous blacked out grill with no accents to bring it to life. Yuck! This is Honda's way of saying the Accord is no longer relevant. That black interior is so depressing and straight out of Hades. This whole car mess has turned of a loyal Honda owner. Time to move on. I doubt the will be another generation Accord, If there is I can only imagine what a cheap crummy mess that will be. Hey Honda, not every one wants an SUV. This is design is not worthy of the Accord name. Come back with the 2.4 and ditch the turbo nonsense. And please stop charging for paint!!!
I’m sure your lack of support is going to absolutely bankrupt Honda.
This new design is ugly as fuck.
