Jacob, Lindsay, I’m actually really glad that you weren’t involved any further in the actual removal of the truck. The conditions were dangerous and it is frightening to see how strong and fast the tides are. Save your energy and your strength to find another poor lost soul - anyone can pull a vehicle out of the water, but only you two (and a precious other few people) have the equipment, skill, and dedication to actually locate and confirm the sad truth. Anyone can drive a Maserati, but not just anyone can parallel park the darn thing! No sour treatment can change the fact that you two just gave generations of this man’s family the peace they’ve been without ever since he went missing. You’re both amazing - take care and keep up the fantastic work that you do so well! ❤

@@emmie3942 I mean, you don't need them until you need them, but realistically mostly they can only respond to things after they've happened. It's rare they actually stop crimes from happening in the moment. Police precincts tend to be in the most crime-ridden neighborhoods. It’s sad that the local teams didn’t embrace you, your efforts and use you as an important resource in seeing this through to the end. You handled it with class in the video, and didn’t bash them. In fact you gave them the same thanks that you give to all local law enforcement teams. That is selfless strength on your part.
It is hard to believe there was any other motive for them than wanting to control “turf” and take recovery credit which is very sad, since recovery wouldn’t have even been possible without your efforts and expertise to begin with. I hope this is a kind learning experience to all law enforcement teams about the importance and willingness of embracing the help this movement brings. @@briandobson5135it seems like that’s pretty common in a lot of these cases, especially when these teams are able to find people that have been missing for years in a few minutes in some cases. Which is to say they probably gave up too soon, and the police probably see it as embarrassing them when they’re found so quickly. It’s also quite shocking that they apparently didn’t search the boat ramps or roads that are near rivers or lakes to see if there might be clues such as tire tracks, a broken guardrail, etc.

I feel your frustration... it brings me to tears. But these days it's all about health and safety and liability etc. Red tape when you get other people involved. Perhaps Jared and Doug got it right last time they had this issue (or was it Nug?) don't tell anyone until you've pulled the vehicle. I hope these agencies truly appreciate the work you do - your expertise in deciphering sonar images. I think it's massively disrespectful to you both that they didn't allow you to bring the case to it's conclusion.... despite their inability to do it themselves.

@@AnitaSouthall It is kind of a sticky situation. However if they were just cleaning old cars out of the river and not looking for a body, the car would be pulled first. Since they never break the windows to clear a vehicle I would just say I was removing old cars from the river and once I pulled this one up I found the possibility of remains. That is what happened to AWP which got them started and has since created a wave of others.

I know there’s protocol followed with law enforcement with cases but it still seemed there could have been a better way to handle this to include your team. In a way seeing it through is like your closure of sorts and that was taken from you with this case. You made the effort and expense to find this man and they received the recognition. We know it’s not about praise for you …it’s a personal commitment to doing your job and following it thru to the end. I’m sorry this part was taken from you both. I support law enforcement in most cases but this didn’t sit well with me. Your team along with the AWP movement is the hardest working, most selfless people I know. Just started following you and Lindsey after being tuned into your program when I got hooked on AWP. Wish more law enforcement would support your efforts in finding victims in water. My wife is an ER nurse and I was an ER doc. We used to stop at all traffic accidents to see if we could be of help. Once we identified ourselves and our qualifications we were respected and we worked seamlessly with LE and Ambulance crews for the victims. There is no attitude or insults we do what we can and then step back when we are no longer needed. I really believe that LE are a little intimidated by the cameras and being recorded. The fear of lawsuits can be a problem but I have never been sued for being a Good Samaritan. Anyways Thank You Jacob and Lindsey for your great work and effort. God bless you both 🙏❤️🙏❤️

Lindsey, I'll say what I said on one of the AWP vids in reference to using the word excited. There is absolutely nothing wrong with feeling excited or happy that you might have found the vehicle of a missing loved one for the family. You are answering the question as to where they are and if the find is correct, you provide the information to help the family heal. Though, it might be saddening, the family would likely feel the same way and the fact that you question if you are being disrespectful speaks volumes. Keep up the good work you guys, you kick ass.
