    Thank you, Chaos Divers (and Adventures with Purpose) for what you do. Seeing Jacob's reaction when the license plate is confirmed shows just how heavy the emotions weigh on the divers who do these recoveries. Yet they continue to voluntarily search for our lost loved ones, trying to bring answers to families and friends who are grieving without knowing their loved ones fate. This is so obviously a labor of love that most could never imagine doing. May your lives forever be blessed for the service of love you provide. Another one brought home, providing answers and finally a sense of peace to those who loved and missed Charles Fluharty. May he rest easy in the love of his family and friends.

      @@lindsaybussick Please don't get nervous! This is the first Chaos Divers video I've ever watched (I found you via AWP) & I thought your narration was brilliant. You explained everything really well and really clearly, and managed to strike that excellent balance of keeping your tone sombre and respectful, whilst still being really interesting to listen to. I often "zone out" from voice overs, but didn't from yours - so you must be good! 😎👍
      I look forward to hearing your voice over work again. Thank you to you and the team for all that you are doing - it's such important, life-changing work.

      @lukearts2954 3 года назад +12

      You put that exactly how it is, Josh: it's a very taxing occupation, on body and soul. And the emotional weight is so often overlooked, its importance discarded. Take care of yourselves and don't dismiss any emotional stress you may experience. Not caring for it, will send you into PTS every time. Not a matter of if, but when. I feel that this side of search and rescue is too much neglected and underappreciated. This is not a world for "tough guys", because they all end up drinking it away without resolution. It's a world for brave guys, who dare to speak up that is wasn't a walk in the park...

    I battle with mental illness and never feel..I have purpose. I exist solely because my son has no one else. He's a pre-teen now, and very..moody and/or standoffish. I see these rescues on people who just..decided to stop existing, and I understand them fully. You don't know me, and won't read this, but it was nice that you offered your comforting words to someone at the end...someone needed to hear and feel that.

      God created every human with a purpose. We might not always know what that is but I know that the more we get involved with other people and help those who are hurting helps us not to think so much of ourselves. We have a real problem with depression in this country and I'm not really sure why but I know if we are living apart from Jesus we will never find true peace and contentment. There is a better life beyond this one in heaven some day but we must try to live for him and help others as much as possible. There are always people who are so much worse off than we are. I heard an old story one time about a man who was so down and out because he did not have shoes to wear until he saw a man without any feet. It helped him put things into perspective. We all battle demons of depression certain times in our lives but we have to look for our blessing in life. Your son is a blessing to you. I have had a harder time since losing my husband almost 3 years ago but I have our sons who both share many attributes of their dad and I have 5 grandbabies who are my pride and joy and I thank God everyday for them.

    • @aesopsinspiration
      @aesopsinspiration 3 дня назад +1

      @deboraheasterky7274 I'm happy to have God and Jesus in my life. Even so, I still feel...purposeless. I tell my son that I love him daily-keeping that promise to the infant blessing he was. I still battle depression, and fear eviction and homelessness, but I don't know what else is within my power to do. It is what it is, at this point. But thank you for your beautiful words.🌹

    I appreciate y'all securing Charles, the level of thought and care that went into making sure he got out of the water to go home to his family is a labor of love.
    It always creeps me out when people talk about/treat bodies with disrespect, as if they aren't someone's person. They way you talked about Charles, and the situation and how emotional you got about finding him just shows how much respect you have. Thank ya'll for helping bring answers to those who need them.

    Whoever took the video footage did a great job getting some interesting shots aside from the story of the dive and recovery. The shot of the train going through was so pretty and the rain on the surface of the water was nice, too. While neither fully removed you from the grimness of the story, they did give the viewer a brief moment to take a breath which was great.

    I got chill bumps and tears when Jacob read off the plate. It meant a loved one was coming home to their family.
    Jacob, you kept pushing forward regardless of the obstacles - determined to bring this man home. It proves your motto to a 'T'.
    Eric, I am so glad you are there to work with Jacob and help to bring loved ones home and to clean the environment. I think you work very well together and help to keep each other grounded.
    Lindsay, the narration of the videos with your calming voice keeps us all on baited breath praying that Jacob and Eric can accomplish the task at hand.
    Chaos Divers as a team work very well together. I am so proud of all of you. Including Jacob's Dad as an honorary Chaos Diver. You should be proud of your accomplishments.

This is why we should show our love, support and care while the person is still alive rather than wait for them to be dead. Because if that someone felt that there's still someone cares for him/her that person will do everything to stay alive to enjoy it😢😭😭

    I've watched the video probably a dozen times now. Each time I choke up when you read off the plate number. I relive that moment over and over again. It was extremely emotional to say the least.
    It's surreal to know that a single email sparked a chain of events that has now resulted in 2 cases being solved and a third that I believe will be resolved come spring. Jacob, I'm extremely proud of you for sticking with this. You Lindsay and Eric make an awesome team and I am blessed to have been even a small part of this experience. Meeting you all has been life changing to say the least. You guys are me heros for selflessly doing what you do. I love you guys and I mean that.
    To the Fluharty family you have my deepest condolences. You all are great people. I just wish we would have met under different circumstances. I'm glad you finally have answers as to Chucks disappearance.
    A huge thank you to first class towing and to all of the members of Law enforcement and first responders who helped make this happen. Especially to my life long friend detective Greg Smith. He was onboard the first time i approached him about it. Without such a supportive community this wouldn't be possible.
