*I truly believe many of us who love Sinead O’Connor are people who have been hurt very deeply. Who have been stepped on. Abused. Neglected. And made to feel we are worthless and of no good to anyone. And this has hurt us so deeply it has tarnished our heart. Our soul. And makes us feel incomplete. Unloved. Unwanted. And we recognize this in her voice. And feel a sense of camaraderie with her. Because she is not only singing to us..but for us. And representing us. She is our sister. Our mother. And our best friend. And to all my brothers and sisters who read this and recognize these things in you..I love you. Stay strong. For one day the pain will end.* 😔

I just discovered this song by Sinéad and I am blown away by it. What a haunting song... Incredibly beautiful and powerful. Her superb voice, the back ups, the piano and other instruments and this video in black and white with stunning photographs are just epic... so, so sad she passed away a couple of weeks ago... RIP Sinéad, you will be missed.
It is a cover of an old song by Mahalia Jackson, which was originally a spiritual sung by American slaves. Just letting you know if you want to check out other versions. Sinead does an amazing job too.
This song is prophetic it seems. Very powerful performance & i’m not surprised about the spiritual element here, Sinead you were so soulful & never fake you were always keeping it real. I know there will be many including me for real will miss you. 😢❤
First time hearing this song just 10 minutes after hearing of her death. So sad...but she's finally at Peace in God's loving home. ❤ RIP sweet lady 🙏🏴
In case anyone is wondering, the picture Sinead is holding up is of Mahalia Jackson, arguably one of the greatest vocalists of all time and someone who recorded this song back in 1959. She also sang it in the film "Imitation of Life". Short clip of the song here: ruclips.net/video/8eiI52WluF0/видео.html More about Mahalia here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahalia_Jackson This recording by Sinead really does the song justice. Love it.
@@floridabeardedwoodworker She is a woman who was severely abused as a child by her parents to the point of suicide. Her life has been hell trying to deal with the emotional repercussions from that. The fact that she was able to create a career singing about her pain and becoming one of the worlds greatest artists is testament to her inner strength and spirit. I hope you know and understand how truly you are loved and how your voice, your anguish, your pain, your sorrow, your joy cut so skillfully through to our souls. Few voices have that kind of power.

Sinead, you woke me up after watching you tear up the picture of Pope John Paul! I left the Catholic Church and started on the long road for truth. I can't imagine being where I am today without your courage. Thank you.

Very powerful. Tomorrow is my birthday and finding this video tonight is the best birthday present ever. Just read this afternoon that Sinead is taking a year off to do rehab, I will miss her and her work. When her dates in N.Y. were changed from April 2020 to September 2021 I contacted my best friend Nancy from 26 years ago to see if she would go with me. Sinead was so essential to us. A beautiful soul. She was surprised to hear from me now, in a pandemic, and said emphatically yes! I don't know if Sinead really knows how unique she is and how powerfully she has influenced the world, especially women and children. Lets not forget the great french poet Pierre Reverdy -- "Man is good. Mankind is beast". But always man is good. And her mother is with her anytime she wants or needs her. I hope some day she will realize she doesn't have to imagine or actually go to heaven to be with her. Never, never, never give up Sinead O'Connor! The world still needs you.
You are so correct. She has always been ahead of her time. She was cancelled many times before cancel culture. She ripped up the pope's picture to protest child abuse in the catholic church and Black Boys on Mopeds still makes me cry... To the world...STOP killing black boys.

Please find peace in that. Im just a girl in Scottsdale az trying to make it in this time. I see what you did outing the catholic church and the ones who hurt kids. Thank you Sinead. Your messages have helped so many people over your entire career. I love you.
Her voice is just as beautiful today as it was in the 80s. She is still making people aware of social issues that they'd rather ignore!
Forever Sinead. RIP-- what a haunting beautiful last song. God hold you close.
She truly cared for the troubles of others from a deeply loving perspective and her art reflected it. A flame amongst flickering candles.❤
She was right, RIP sweet soul.
One of the greatest and most important voices in this world, and it has always been...
I cant help indentifying with this song, but I want Sinead to know how much I want her to be happy! And I want her to keep singing! I am Brazilian, 30 years old and I love her so much...
She’s been telling us the truth since Black Boys on Mopeds and before that
YES!
Exactly!!! Far ahead of her time. Let’s not forget she called out the Catholic Church before it all blew up for them.
👌
Hollywood owes her a huge apology and money for what they did to her. Fuck them
You are so correct. She has always been ahead of her time. She was cancelled many times before cancel culture. She ripped up the pope's picture to protest child abuse in the catholic church and Black Boys on Mopeds still makes me cry... To the world...STOP killing black boys.
I thought this would have been her last video.. when I heared it the fist time I had this strong feeling it could be her last.. and today I heard the news of her passing.. may peace finally be upon you sweetheart 😢❤Inna Inllah wa Inna Illahi Rajaoen..❤your soulsister❤
heartbreaking. cant wait for the album.
This is a woman I respect. She is human, she is art. Don't let her alone.
Love it Sinead ❤️. Powerful song. Powerful message. A voice pure as ever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this Woman in every aspect...Gorgeous Voice, mature feelings, a very real Woman. Thank you! from Colombia
Hola! Isn't she though!!! And I love your country! Shouts from New Zealand.
She's not she's a man hating virtue signaling selfish person
Sounds like you know nothing about her tbh.
i LOVE you Sinead O'Connor . We are all leading one another home. Sending BIG LOVE out to you all
Big Love💟
@tony ryan ❤
While I do not agree with all of her messages, I firmly believe that she was a truly exceptional artist! So long, Sinéad. I'm grateful that you were among us! ♥
I hope you see this, you probably won't. I think you don't think you made a difference in the world. My darling you did! I know for a fact every sacrifice you made you bettered our world. Please find peace in that. Im just a girl in Scottsdale az trying to make it in this time. I see what you did outing the catholic church and the ones who hurt kids. Please know you will have a special place in heaven for your works. We have picked up your torch. This work will glorify you in the beyond!
May the One God give you inner peace

Oh my God I am legit bawling my eyes out.
Her mature voice is just as incredible as her youthful voice. Only in a different way.
Stunning! One of the most important and powerful songs of 2020.

Sinead has ALWAYS been here. So, always, she shall be; One Love.
She has moved on. Thank you Sinead for your great talent and passionate advocacy.
Love how she honors Mahalia Jackson here. Mahalia left us a treasure trove of gifts and she truly loved God. Not sure how she loved Him so much when she was witness to and experienced so much racism.
dressed as a muslim in a christian church, this is how you live in God's channel, acceptance and tolerance, dear loved one, dear Sinead, please find peace. we love you xxx
I only heard this for the first time just now. My god what an incredibly powerful, beautiful and sad song. It's a masterpiece. RIP amazing woman.

Very impressive. Fantastic. But Sinead, please don't go anywhere. Stay here with us and give us your beautiful songs!!! Love you!
She's one of the greatest voices of our time...What a talent. I'm hoping for a new album soon...
New album NO VETERANS DIE ALONE was announced in her 2021 memoir lets hope for a release soon 💥
There is only one Sinead O’Conner on this earth, which can not bare to lose her. She has so much to teach n share to so many that need her. I hope she genuinely knows just how much she is loved by so many on this earth. I have adored, respected and truly seen the pain she has lived since the 80’s I’m so thankful she seems so much more at peace within in her soul, so much more clarity of her on self worth. I love you Magna Divett aka Sinead
This is what it's like to have "it" in your blood. This is A VOICE.
Powerful... Always loved Sinead singing and it's truly wonderful seeing her doing what she does best.. Stay Safe Everyone 🍀🇮🇪💚😊
What a way to deliver a powerful and haunting message that only Sienad can do with that sick voice! 🖤🖤🖤

Mahalia Jackson sings this beautiful gospel song at the end of the movie Imitation of life ,Amen
I am speechless, so sad to loose such an amazing artist. But I get and understand why she went true all that, because she understood and were very sensitive to share with all of us what she went true. Love you Sienad always ❤ you are such an inspiration for me. 😘
One of the greatest singer songwriter of all time. The passion of his voice and her ideals put her in a very select level of Artistry. Sinead, you're great, you're like a very rare an exotic gem in this world. Keep on going with your music, I'll be here waiting for you.
What a voice! What a great soul!
Rest in peace Sinead O'Connor.
You will be missed.
She was saying goodbye when she wrote this…goodbye Sinead. So Beautiful. I’m excited about my day going home too..but hope it doesn’t come for at least 45-50 years..but some days knowing we will go Home one day is what keeps me going.❤💜
It's a cover of Mahalia Jackson song from 1958. But Sinead's interpretation is unbelievably beautiful
WOW how have I not heard this before
I've spent the last few days so down and upset Sinead. Your legacy, your message will not be forgotten....I will listen to you until I die (have already done so for the past 3 decades) and join you above....we will belt it out Sinead. Slan abhaile xx
God knows people's hearts. Thank you so much, Sinead, for sharing this important message in this song!!
In God's hands now no more pain suffering fly high angel with other Angel's shine in heaven you always shined on earth our hearts forever diamonds are forever legends never die xx
♥️ I celebrate that you are done with the trouble of the world sweet powerful soul! You live with God now, and forever in our minds hearts and souls 🙏🏽♥️✨
As an Atheist, this is the only song I love even though it mentions god, I love it and I am so happy I was able to meet Sinead after a concert
Her Beautiful Tone Control is Amazing! Yet Her Reaction Control Limitations Via' Championing For The True Force of Spirit to Spirit Nurture Between All of Humanity' is Greatly Why We Will Always Love Her! Always!🌈🌎🌍🌏🌌
Good evening sir, I hope I don't worry you, it's Julie fleuri Just to know if you are one of the great lovers of French music and also to get to know you better. Try to reach me at this address below: dupon8773@gmail.com Good day to you Thank you.
I am forever thankful for your voice, talent, and resonant, poetic, truth telling. In some of the hardest days and surreally fucked up months and years, I simply need music and art to make it by. I find myself returning to what you share, create, bring forth over and over again. Thank you. I know we don't know an ounce of the roads you have been down, but I stand in solidarity and a sweet gratitude that makes me smile. There is a need for resistance to injustice to be spoke and sung. For nourishment and warmth. For forgiveness in shades and angles. You make me think. Always have. I wish you well.
I CAN'T TYPE SHE BEEN MY GODESS FOREVER
An Absolutely Almighty song with a lot of Gospel and more religion...stay safe 🙏🏼
Sinéad's voice has gotten stronger with age, and it truly shows here. Incredible cover!
Sinead's voice always so powerful and a flash of those big green eyes at 3:09 tops it off, fabulous as usual.
Love you Sinead and thank you for singing us as many truths as ever
