Yayyy you uploaded. It must’ve been tough with the season but thanks for the update. I enjoyed the video very much so far and I’m not even done 🥰Much love Cavin
Glad you enjoyed it! I feel very supported by everyone and I hope that by taking everyone's suggestions on how to improve will get more people engaged. Worth giving it a shot a little longer :)
Thanks Cavin, from a bride in Australia. You have the best wedding channel on RUclips in my opinion! Love your book as well. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year.
This is awesome! Thank you so much! If you think it might be interesting or helpful, could you discuss changes in prices for wedding vendor and venue services? And what prices might look like with the impending recession? With the prices going up so much this last year, we’ve decided to push out the wedding another year or two in hopes prices might stabilize. We want a “nice” wedding but given the prices we’ve decided to continue holding out. We had friends get married and spend $35K in 2019, and that same wedding would be like $100K today. So it feels like we are choosing between starting a family or having a wedding for friends and family to enjoy.
That's definitely a great idea. Prices have gone up as a result of increased labor, product, and cost of living for us vendors. Some vendors will have their product costs lowered when supply chain issues settle but for many vendors I worry overall costs won't go down for them, thus won't be able to be reduced for couples. I can reach out to my vendor community and get a variety of perspectives to share and see what they predict for their own biz/vendor category.
Hey Cavin! Just wanted to show some support here 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Your videos have been so informative and helpful, and I also bought your book! I love that you always encourage brides to break traditions to be ourselves. This also inspired me to consider not having a bridal party to reduce stress… however, is there any alternative to honor my best friends on the day of?? Would like to see more videos of breaking wedding traditions and what the alternatives are. Thank you!!!
Great idea! And yes, have them get ready with you, ask any if they want to do a ceremony reading or toast, do a spa visit the day before - just a few ideas!
This was great! You answered some questions I didn't know I had! Lol. I'll watch any videos you put out! I'm getting married in April so it's crunch time for me!
My Canon R5 camera (I used to film on my Mark 4). Lighting depends on what room/location I am in. For this room, I had window light coming from the right side of the screen and then this video light (amzn.to/3jn62wT) that I love for shoots and video because it is dimmable AND color temperature controllable so I can make it warmer or cooler to match the lighting of the existing room (in this case the neutral window light). Great for lighting just 1-2 people or a small set. I sometimes use a ring light but that was too warm for this room. I just got a new mic that I am loving because it comes with two mics. I do not "connect" it to my camera because it gets noisy that way but it's stunning when recorded separately on each wireless mic. DJI Mic (amzn.to/3BPndxu). Sounds better than my old Sony/Rode system AND I can record two people on two separate tracks this way and edit them individually in Final Cut Pro. On my other system with my two mics, I could only edit two people as one track unless I did some intricate post work. Anyway, been loving it and it has hookups to plug straight into a phone so I took it to bridal fashion week. It is a small kit and can be carried anywhere. Obsessed!
Hi When sending out the bridesmaid and groom men invites can you send them the place to where you want your party to get your dresses and the groom's suits I'm assuming you need to wait for a reply before you send out . Can you do to in one?
Sorry, can you rephrase the question? The wedding day invitations or the "invitations" asking them to be a bridesman/groomsman? It's usually assumed if they have agreed to be in the wedding party they will attend the wedding so go ahead and let them know where to get the outfits...but still send a formal wedding invite so they can RSVP for their meal and significant other :)
@@cavinelizabeth Send them the invitations then you will get a reply as to who is going to be in your wedding party? Then you can tell them when to get the outfits?
Normally people ask the people they want as bridesmaids/groomsmen long before wedding invitations (the kind asking "are you coming to my wedding?"). Some people ask over the phone or in person "will you be my bridesmaid/groomsman?" Some people send a cute gift (bridesmaid box) to "propose" to their bridesmaids (that's cute but not necessary). Basically, it's a more informal asking them to be a bridesmaid/groomsman as soon that can be done as you learn your wedding date...send wedding invitations closer to 2-3 months before the wedding (3 months if people have to travel, 2 months if everyone is nearby).
Hi...I really like your videos and I am just wondering that is there any chance for me to work with you as a Video Editor? Would love to have your response. Would love to have your valuable response.

6:20 - Stuffed animal toss! Never heard of this, and it's an awesome idea! I'd love to see a replacement for the garter toss as well.
Just cut that one out all together lmao

Thanks for the offer, I like to edit my own videos so I can see how I need to improve and keep to a tighter budget. Maybe in the future!
