I wonder what dr sheldrake would say about the idea that when many people believe something is impossible it somehow is, but once we see someone has done it our belief instantly changes. The example I always hear mentioned is how everyone believed nobody would ever run a mile under 4 minutes. Yet very shortly after Roger Bannister did it several other people did it as well. Some that were interviewed even said they felt it was impossible until Bannister did it. Very curious
I like that Michael suggested using bacteria instead of rats for the effects of learnt behaviour in an organism. I would like a Sheldrake with a better understanding of consciousness studies in all animals including the smallest ones.
Rupert is au fait with the Idealism of Bernardo Kastrup who argues with great parsimony using an analogy from psychiatry that we are all Alters in Mind at large. For Mind at large space and time don't exist, sometimes people can see future events because the barrier between Mind at large and their little mind has been dissolved and they retrieve or tap into data that is often times shown to be veridical. In my opinion Rupert's work on the extended Mind also aids us in understanding this phenomenon.

And then how to define complexity? Anyway, that fits with the Bible I think where it says in John 1 that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Why was the Word only God in the beginning? My explanation is that God is the unmanifested Word and Christ is God's only begotten son, esoterically meaning Christ is the Word manifested (The Word made flesh and "Truly I tell you, even before Abraham was born I am") and that the Word has created everything (John 1). In Malachi somewhere God says: "I the Lord do not change", so I see God as the same as Brahman, infinite and changeless yet the cause of all changes. From an atheistic perspective the Word can be seen as an infinite platonic form arranged with infinite intelligence. The Word therefore just timelessly is! Science discoveries are so often performed independently at different locations by different scientists way before modern communication. I've always pondered that some type of telepathy (morphic resonance) was taking place. Chemistry looks at the dancing of valence electrons and physics owns the domain of the nucleus - just wondering why physics has the final say and not chemistry, which used to be considered the central science.
Maybe what is actually happening is that the science, the real information, the compliment regarding a level of consciousness that is actually coming about now. This is what we are living in, and minds like Sheldrake is actually getting comprehended , therefore adding to the Critical Mass Consciousness that is being resisted at this magical time we find ourselves.... ✌️& 💛. The conversation around 1 hour 20 about understanding and empathising with others - this for me is at the heart of the matter. It's taken me decades to get to this view in spite of a significant mystical experience some 20+ years ago, but the truth of unconditional love is that nothing is wrong, or evil - unconditional love is for absolutely everything and everybody. The idea proposed by Shakespeare, Alan Watts, Bill Hicks and other visionaries is that this is a huge cosmic drama, and for me a good drama has to contain everything, from the most sublime to the deepest evil. At the end of your life, when you take your final bow, there is a "round of applause" for everyone, even those perceived to be the most evil, because everyone has played their part, and everyone is equally important and vital to the drama.

In genesis, there was the "Ruach" that created waves. This was intention. Intention to create was the precursive act that pre-ceded the act of creation which preceded and even still proceeds determinate reality. But this only proceeds according to a graduated sequence of first, second, third etc. in an intellectual linearization of what is evidently a constant, infinite process. We perceive this cavalcade of "light becoming" as a "line" in the same way dwellers in a two dimensional world perceive a sphere to be a collection of expanding and contracting circular slices of the sphere which they must then assemble into the concept of an object that exists across an interval of time that includes the "present time slice" as an instantaneous element of the larger set of "other slices"... a "Morphic Field" if you will. But the linear aspect of this perception is not the way it actually is because the actual creation is one infinite set. A Spiritual Universe exceeds yet contains the universe of Matter, Energy, Space and Time, time being a critical element of this reductive process of "isness forming". But consciousness ... i.e. the I or the Spiritual entity known to each of us as "I AM", exists within, around and without the gross elements of past creations. We keep going. We are not where we have been. We trust that we will be in the future and that the father of the next moment will preserve our "kingdom" of worldly experience beyond the limits of any frame of reference that includes time as a barrier. Sorry if that seems like a serving of dressed lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers, but, these are difficult ideas to represent in a comment on f***ng RUclips. Morphic Resonance is not a concept - it is a name used to refer to a natural process that is what creates temporal reality. So, "can we manipulate existence by Morphic Resonance"? Oh but we DO ... that's HOW we do everything. We speak because we have spoken. We read (in the present tense) because we read (in the past tense). And we first spoke because others had spoken before us and and we learned to read because others have read (in the past tense). One may disagree with the terms "morphogenic field" or "morphic resonance" but these are just words, like "tomorrow" or "faster than light" (equally unfalsifiable). The word used to describe a transcendental object can never be the actual "thing" referred to. Yet we can talk about "thought" while no-one is capable of proving that any thought actually exists anywhere. The word is just a business card that substitutes for the item, whatever it may be or not be. A word one seeks to express the extents of a newly postulated phenomenon is not a determinant of the phenomenon itself (except, of course, as the use of a particular word may become so commonly used that it influences the future path of the thing itself).

This is meant with every good intention. I think and believe very strongly, that this information and these opinions and viewpoints need to be widely disseminated and shared. That said, from the outside, having only seen this first video from your channel, - the set up seems far too staged and unnatural. The background research doesn't appear to have been done and the questions often seem (I may be incorrect and have misinterpreted) too aimless and often unstructured or ill-informed. Tighten up the delivery and give structure to the interview and see where it leads.
I know a social anthropologist who says he cannot publish, or get tenure if he variates from the format. His contribution to the science can and must be a sliver, a dust mote, unless he wants to be brave and try what Sheldrake and Hancock and others are doing with their own money & donations. The conversation around 1 hour 20 about understanding and empathising with others - this for me is at the heart of the matter. It's taken me decades to get to this view in spite of a significant mystical experience some 20+ years ago, but the truth of unconditional love is that nothing is wrong, or evil - unconditional love is for absolutely everything and everybody. The idea proposed by Shakespeare, Alan Watts, Bill Hicks and other visionaries is that this is a huge cosmic drama, and for me a good drama has to contain everything, from the most sublime to the deepest evil. At the end of your life, when you take your final bow, there is a "round of applause" for everyone, even those perceived to be the most evil, because everyone has played their part, and everyone is equally important and vital to the drama.
I suppose perhaps the underlying fear if we speak what we share and it has no approval it's the fear of being ousted from our perceived tribes. Makes you wonder how would someone ever get creation going. Someone has to go out on a limb. And trust if you don't see the tree it's hanging from. Certainly others will help you get that growing;). In genesis, there was the "Ruach" that created waves. This was intention. Intention to create was the precursive act that pre-ceded the act of creation which preceded and even still proceeds determinate reality. But this only proceeds according to a graduated sequence of first, second, third etc. in an intellectual linearization of what is evidently a constant, infinite process. We perceive this cavalcade of "light becoming" as a "line" in the same way dwellers in a two dimensional world perceive a sphere to be a collection of expanding and contracting circular slices of the sphere which they must then assemble into the concept of an object that exists across an interval of time that includes the "present time slice" as an instantaneous element of the larger set of "other slices"... a "Morphic Field" if you will. But the linear aspect of this perception is not the way it actually is because the actual creation is one infinite set. A Spiritual Universe exceeds yet contains the universe of Matter, Energy, Space and Time, time being a critical element of this reductive process of "isness forming". But consciousness ... i.e. the I or the Spiritual entity known to each of us as "I AM", exists within, around and without the gross elements of past creations. We keep going. We are not where we have been. We trust that we will be in the future and that the father of the next moment will preserve our "kingdom" of worldly experience beyond the limits of any frame of reference that includes time as a barrier.
Sorry if that seems like a serving of dressed lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers, but, these are difficult ideas to represent in a comment on f***ng RUclips.

Morphic Resonance is not a concept - it is a name used to refer to a natural process that is what creates temporal reality. So, "can we manipulate existence by Morphic Resonance"? Oh but we DO ... that's HOW we do everything. We speak because we have spoken. We read (in the present tense) because we read (in the past tense). And we first spoke because others had spoken before us and and we learned to read because others have read (in the past tense). One may disagree with the terms "morphogenic field" or "morphic resonance" but these are just words, like "tomorrow" or "faster than light" (equally unfalsifiable). The word used to describe a transcendental object can never be the actual "thing" referred to. Yet we can talk about "thought" while no-one is capable of proving that any thought actually exists anywhere. The word is just a business card that substitutes for the item, whatever it may be or not be. A word one seeks to express the extents of a newly postulated phenomenon is not a determinant of the phenomenon itself (except, of course, as the use of a particular word may become so commonly used that it influences the future path of the thing itself).

I would ask atheists what is the point of the beauty of this world if there is no God, if we were just created out of nothing? The colours, the aromas of nature? Everything may as well have been in black and white.

This is meant with every good intention. I think and believe very strongly, that this information and these opinions and viewpoints need to be widely disseminated and shared. That said, from the outside, having only seen this first video from your channel, - the set up seems far too staged and unnatural. The background research doesn't appear to have been done and the questions often seem (I may be incorrect and have misinterpreted) too aimless and often unstructured or ill-informed. Tighten up the delivery and give structure to the interview and see where it leads.
I know a social anthropologist who says he cannot publish, or get tenure if he variates from the format. His contribution to the science can and must be a sliver, a dust mote, unless he wants to be brave and try what Sheldrake and Hancock and others are doing with their own money & donations.
He is deeply disheartened by the notion that he'll never make a name for himself, never truly explore his field, but must instead cite, and footnote and refer constantly to the accepted template currently propping up the dominant paradigm. 😮💨😡

As I've had highly impressive experiences with telepathy and other "strange" abilities myself and while knowing the emerging implications as well as my own weaknesses and the human nature as well...
