The Confidence Burn is an important part of Fire Academy. It's the first live burn of the course and is essential in determining if recruits are cut out to be firefighters for Spokane Valley. It also gives instructors the opportunity to teach recruits about trusting their gear and the basics of fire behavior. It gets HOT in the fire room during these burns.
