I think I will actually do that to my ultra 2. I got it and a doomlands stryfe for modification, so I may as well get started with the ultra 2 conversion

Considering where people go with flywheeling, the straws may not actually do all that well.
@@dleonidae straws do really well in flywheels. they shoot farther than foam. I recommend daybreak or twilight wheels

Any revolving cylinder system can be modded to be belt feed. redesign the cylinder piece to make it a spindle for the same number of locations, but instead of holding a dart, it holds a link in the belt. Then design a belt link that fits each cylinder location, and holds a dart. Now make a lot of links.
If you take apart a vulcan, you'll see it has a 6 position revolving sprocket, and the belts fit into the sprocket.
Here's an amazing mod idea: The Rival Charger MXX 1200 with the Rival 12 round magazine, which makes it become sort of like a p90

aaaah...my biggest regret is that I have never soldered ANYTHING ever let alone a NERF blaster and I'm super scared to do so and spend money on all the supplies needed, since I don't have a soldering kit at all..I JUST got the Halo blaster and I'm fully expecting a LiPo kit and flywheel upgrade for that at some point down the pipe..I would love to run this conversion and that blaster in a game together just for the shiggles of it..but I'm terrified to ruin a $50+ blaster due to lack of experience. I really do like the look of the Ultra 2 since I love revolvers and it's a semi-auto flywheel one, but the fact the standard Ultra darts are...less than stellar as far as performance goes alongside being stupid expensive just for the sake of NERF trying to be annoying about it all..yeah I've been reluctant to get one to say the least.
If you're scared to start with an expensive blaster, find a not so expensive one to practise with. Maybe you can find at a local thrift store or FB marketplace or some such. There are some good vids on here about how to start soldering, or perhaps you can find a local makerspace where to start.
@@Diamre Sadly I live in a rather podunk area of the south where maker spaces..aren't really a thing and the ones that do exist are like..an hour+ away. Finding a cheaper blaster isn't really the problem if I do go thrifting..not something I normally do mind you but I can do since finding a Goodwill isn't that hard and there isn't one more than like 30 minutes from my place. Also when I say podunk, most of the people in my area are older and there is literally two assisted living/nursing homes within a half mile of each other..and plenty more around and about.

ShinKyuubi i have a versa tool that works as a hot knife, a wood burner, and a soldering iron. You can get them at Michaels (or many other craft stores) for like 40 bucks and then a spool of solder with integrated flux is around 5 to 7 dollars.

I’ve weirdly come to find that A.F waffles tend to jam this kit pretty frequently. I suspect the heads are too wide for the barrels to feed correctly. Full length A.F pro darts and full length max darts feed without issue though.
Huh, something must be up with your kit because I have never had mine jam.

You might be able to if you double load them. It would only fire one but it should work

Got one of these kits awhile back and got a new ultra 2 to put it in… Damm thing’s screws were all stripped, the new cage was too big for the blaster just… a whole issue. Definitely more to do with the Ultra 2 though… which is sad
With more fine tuning I bet it would make a good revolver rifle. Look up KAC supressed revolver rifle

Oh that's the other thing; the other 3d printed kit available won't use the original flywheels or motors
The other one I reviewed does have the option for stock wheels and motor. I failed to mention it in my video.
Question
i want to just change the capacity of the revolving chamber, so my question is:
can i just swap the cylinder without changing the batteries or the flywheels? the bump that blocks the dart i can find a way to take it out
note: i have never modded a single blaster before
Batteries, yes. Flywheels...also yes...kinda. You can keep the original motors and wheels but you do need to replace the flywheel cage. Otherwise the spacing on the wheels will not be right.

Is it possible you could put a parts list in the description or suggest a couple parts that would be ideal to use on this mod? I am hoping to modify this with the Gavinfuzzy kit, preferably 2s (but I don't care too much), preferably all from OOD, but again, not the end of the world if not. I just am having a lot of trouble finding a parts list anywhere and am not experienced enough to know which motors would be best for which batteries. Anything you have to offer would be great, thanks!
I used the stock motors. 2s is actually below their intended voltage (7.4v vs 9v) but they should still work. Any 2s Lipo that OOD sells will work. The only other parts I used was an OOD mosfet board, a little wire, and an XT-60 jack.

wish he'd sell the files for this. I'd happily spend like $20 on them. ordering a kit like this is a hard sell for me since I have a 3d printer. might just have to design my own :/

I have a question about the pusher mechanism. From what I can see in this video, the install instructions, and the other video, it seems like the pusher wasn’t modified. I know you mentioned an extended pusher form the AUS blastermods, but I’m wondering how much modification for the pusher is needed to make sure these conversion mods work. I know you mentioned that for the GavinFuzzy a full trigger pull is necessary to make sure it doesn’t jam, so is there a work around for that?
The reason I’m asking this is that there’s another conversion on Etsy by Rad Blasters that includes a new pusher to make the timing work, and I don’t really understand that. I Igor just be missing something, but I would like some clarification before I get a kit
You have to remove the ammo lock but other than that no modification is needed for the pusher in this kit.

I want a kit, but they are ridiculously expensive for what they are, I got two ultra 2s and extra darts for the price of one of those kits and I'm not about to spend $80 extra dollars especially when I have to solder and stuff. if only ultra darts were good smh

As far as I know Gavin Fuzzy only sells thru Etsy. If you check my review on the other kit (from Australia) I think they are not on Etsy. But you jave to pay for shipping from Australia...

You can...whether or not you should is a different matter. It is a different of 1.4v so it should be fine. It just won't have very good performance.

That might be impossible, Since its a revolver youll need a electric cilender progressor of sorts (ignore my bad spelling) and there isnt too much space in the blaster
