I d buy her records and go see her in concert. The best Menuhin contestant I have seen. Thrilling! Fukuda has developed to a wonderful musician but Yesong Sophie Lee is rreay for primetime Menuhin style. Too bad he is not alive to see her. She would remind him of himself. Good luck wonderful girl!
I don't know if the violin has ever been much of a favorite instrument for me, but I may have just changed my mind. Just came from hearing her play Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major and Saint-Saens Havanaise with the Bremerton Symphony and was absolutely blown away. Three standing ovations - hard to say if they were enough. AMAZING!
Very charming young violinist, obviously a genius, with masterful technicality and heart of poet, my eyes watered just listening to her Ballade in the opening. I congratulate this rising Star who is definitely going to conquer the World in no time. Bravo young Maestro !!!
She is playing the Bach and the Enescu with a great sensitivelity and maturity at her Expression.

Gran trabajo. Felicidades Sophie Lee. Pocos violinistas inspiran a ser escuchados. Enganchas con tus interpretaciones. Excelente ensamble con el Sr. Tadashi. Dios bendiga tu carrera musical.
Most likely, she will appear in every major orchestras of the world as a soloist in a few years. Then someone will grab her as a concertmaster, like the Detroit Symphony Orchestra did a few years ago, getting Ms Yoonshin Song.
Straight from the description: G. Enescu - Ballade (1895) H. Wieniawski - Etude-Caprice Op. 18, No. 3 J. S. Bach - Concerto No. 2 in E major Adagio and Allegro assai (second and third movements) E. Grieg - Sonata No. 1 in F major (first movement only) It's listed in the order she played them and in the format of: Composer - Name of piece and other info (like composition date, opus number, or which movements she played)
When she was playing she merged into the music. Once she finished playing she resumed her gesture to a kid's one.

Great to see an Enescu piece on her program, very under appreciated composer
And she has the necessary virtuosity for such a competition.😊

Man I envy her talent. I've always wanted to play violin but was only recently given the opportunity. Almost 15 and just a violin beginner.
Bravo!!! You are amazing.
The Grieg is fierce in places, and the pianist is no shy violet!
Such a beautiful and perfect interpretation***

www.rememberenescu.ro
Go to past competitions and click on partituri there are many pieces by Enescu , including Balada
12 years old and can do vibrato while I as a 15 year old can't.
Vibrato's easy. Really easy (BTW I'm also twelve).
It’s not just vibrato she can do
She’s prob better then a lot of professional violinist
Hugo Young HAHA SAME!! Don’t worry this 15 year old can’t shift to save their life either 😂😂 (internally cries inside)
Vibrato is the simple part. Getting to *h e r* level is the hard part
She be playing an a on a g string

define 'this'
And define 'song'. There ain't any.
the names are literally on the screen as she plays them; I don't see how you could not know unless you maybe consider the announcer's speaking a song
