I could tell a huge difference when I switched over to the higher mounted trim tabs, almost night and day difference in handling and top straight line speed.
Nice bro the rebuild rips! I was gonna say esc timing was causing the shutter/cogging but wow a dead receiver battery, sh!t happens! Lol! Harbour freight sell Marine shrink tube it has sealant in it so when you heat it to shrink it it seals, might work on the stuffer tube... If you havent tried it already that is ✌🏼😎👍🏼
Do what I do with my nitros on your boat. Using a SR6100 receiver, use a 3S lipo with a Y-splitter, put one end into then BEC and then into the receiver, then the other end into the 2-pin telemetry voltage port on the receiver, then use a lipo buzzer alarm. You can see real time BEC voltage AND full real 3S voltage on your DX5 screen, but just in case you forget to check your 3S voltage, the lipo alarm will sound. The right alarm is loud as hell too, it’s louder than the nitro motor I use on my trucks so surely it’ll be loud enough to hear it through your prop wash.
Rain has been a pain… on the east coast this season, the BJ42 needs some room to run!!! That boat sounds great just sitting still. Some passes on 12s would be very interesting indeed 👍
The amazing BJ42 is the King 👑 of RTR boats, I wonder if the stock motor could handle 10s, although I don’t think 🤔 that it’s required it’s powerful and fast enough with 1350kv motor. I have used some expanding foam in the front sponsons, and mine corners amazing at whatever the RCboats bitz prop can do 65mph ? Your suggestion of the 2nd A being the “balance point” seams to work even with the extra weight up front, just move the batteries back to achieve balance.😊
I’d be afraid to run my boats in the rain. Wouldn’t want to get them wet 😂😂😂 Great video Big B. Was that a rat that ran into the water @6:12? If so be careful you don’t hit it or the family will be eating some Rats a Roni. 😅
“B” motors like that especially drag motors they will cog the esc is trying to find its timing. Non sensor Motors will do that it’s normal. You don’t see the cogging to much in the water. But when you have that motor in a car you’ll see the cogging. I have that motor in my vendetta and it cogs
If I were you I would put Carbon Fiber inlay on this 42" Black Jack These walls are too thin and plastic doesn't hold up with the Crashes !! Your on your 3dr. Hull now why not ? I'm doing it to my 24" Black Jack !
Hold on hold on, I know everything about this boat and I'm going to tell you what it is. All of you are wrong. So here's the problem....bad gas. Yep easy to fix, bad gas.
Man good too see the the BJ back on the block💯👍
You're so right about the uneven hight for the trim tabs. Makes the hull suitable for
different water conditions and less itchy. Yes !

Making multiple passes or too long of a run I have seen many people smoke their TP motors. Glad to see you doing it right
I missed this boat. Great stuff big B
You and me both! One of my favorites

Fingers crossed! 12s fast pass coming soon! "I hope"
Big B, make sure your h2o pick-ups at the rudder are fully seated. Noticed one of them ready to pop off.
That hull is looking wicked!👍🤙
Thanks, I caught that while editing the video.. fixed and ready to roll!

Such an odd thing, common on cars but boats? never really experienced it with boats we'll see what happens next time out thanks

6:14 - 6:19 looks like a squirrel going for a swim..idk..
That's one fas azz squirrel lol
your never more than 10 ft from a rat, or vole near water
I didn't know you could even get a $300 motor... Unless it was for an F5B hot liner from Germany
The motor originally cost 199, had to replace the rotor, 120, total investment 319.00.

Got a chuckles out of me 😆
