- Keith Davids has been a competitive athlete most of his life, which has helped him become a better Navy SEAL operator. Learn more about Davids, as well as other Navy Athletes who competed in the 2008 Ford Ironman at navyathletes.com.
I did an IA tour in Ramadi 2009-2010 with Commander (his rank at the time) Davids. He was my CO for that deployment. By a clear margin I would say he is the most inspirational person I spent time around during my 8 years of service. It’s cool to randomly come across a video with him in it
He's flyin through that course! I'm thoroughly impressed.
I probably watch this video at least 6x a week before or during every PT session. Very inspiring.
Congrats, you want a cookie?
Mr. Davids. From UK, London - it is inspiring to hear and see a gentleman with such physical gain, compassion and love for humanity and his spirituality.
God bless you all that keep your charm, charisma and faith and most importantly loyalty which is sadly lost in today's people.
Keep on inspiring! Best Regards. Rob
"Your only Limit is your imagination" wow so true
Hooyah.

I was Keith's Platoon Chief in Echo Platoon, SEAL Team TWO when he was a LT. Best Officer I ever served with.
As a Commander, Keith I'm very sure is the finest CO in SPECWAR. As far as Gun Slinging, even as a CO Keith grabs a weapon with the boys as often as he can.
A "Poster Child" for SEAL Officers, he leads from the front...
That is my dad 😃!!! I am proud to be his son
Excellent story! These high quality "interviews" are always enjoyable when good men and women are out there defending my homeland USA.
I can't wait to run that O-course
Well, did you?
Did ya do it?
mad respect for these guys
Some of the movements and things he can do look purely amazing!
The respect I have for Mr. Davids is out of this world.
I am sad to see the negative responses. This was an inspiring reminder of what lies within us all. reminding me to never take for granted what I have been given. Lastly, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
I've always believed that if it's phisically possible, I can do anything. I'm limited only by my imagination. I sing opera at a world level. I'm sure that my experience with many, many sports throughout my life has played a valuable part- seening that my body is my instrument.
I just keep going. I like rope stuff. I used to play i OK aground at school ike that jumping off the pipes etc. Never got enough opportunity to do that.
He probably doesn't have any problems sleeping at night!
By the way, the helicopter used here is called a "Huey", which was used during Vietnam.
What does sleep have to do with him as an operator?
Its actually a UH-1Y Venom, not a Huey. It is the newer, more updated version of the chopper.
moviedude22 I interpreted it as, Keith is so burned out from training hard everyday its easy to pass out and sleep. And he's lived a purposeful life!
Navy Seals are some bad mo fos! But the army has some great programs! EOD is huge in todays wars, RANGERS, Green Beret. Set some goals and acheive them and you many end up along side some navy seals in the field!
this is coming from and Air Force EOD tech.
You can try for the Ranger 3/75. From that you can try for Delta. They are also black ops.
Hold your head up and thank you for your service! You have nothing to be ashamed of. Good luck with the Green Beret! That is no walk in the park either.
love this video, a good inspiration to train.
This guy ROCKs the O Course! Wow!
Keith Davids is a Navy SEAL who initiated training for his first Iron Man triathlon back in 2009. In this video, Commander Davids describes 7 principles for training and success. Get ready for your next event - Runk on!
This guy is like a fucking spider going through the obstacle course
honor and respect to navy seals from GOI italian navy
AS I SEE, GREEK O.Y.K. HAVE NOTHING TOO JEALOUS ABOUT THE U.S NAVY SEALS TRAINING! KEEP WALKING...
I rang the bell, but I'm coming back with love. God bless
Go army, beat navy! Regards from a simple artillery soldier
You say research for yourself, most people (including me ) actually did research this in allot of ways and the proof answers all your questions with a yes.
amazing
The best soldiers !!!!
wao this guy make to feel proud ,god bless america
This is the Commander Shepard of our time.
cant wait till im done with school i want out
I think it’s absolutely disgusting the way he disrespected that net. I’m going to convince myself that they used “CG” to allow him to ascend the net that quick.
Thank God for people like greentea1494
very inspirational
YO ADORO A ESTA GENTE NO HAY PALABRAS PARA PAGARLES NI HECHOS PARA BRINDARLES! SOY URUGUAYO POR DESGRACIA OJALA PUDIERA VER NACIDO NORTE AMERICANO! AHORA ESTOY DISPUESTO A SERVIR A ESTE PAÍS TAN MARAVILLOSO EL QUE LEA ESTE ANUNCIO QUE PIDO QUE SI PUEDE AYUDAR QUE ME INFORME! LES AGRADEZCO A TODOS SERIA CAPAS DE LO QUE FUERA POR SERVIR A EL ÚNICO REY DEL UNIVERSO!
You think it's easy then you go out there and do it! The training cadre at BU/DS would kick your ass in less than a day. D
I fell in love. Ididn't die. OMG 1990-94
@Frances, know it alls generally can't validate themselves using the question format. if you knew anything why are you asking and then ending your questionaire with a matter of fact statement? Vietnam: The North Vietcong waged a war against the South Viets while we had small forces there prior to the war training the Southern Viets to defend themselves, however the North attacked prior to the Souths ability to defend themselves, so we, sent aid and troops.
Dream. Act. Succeed.
How does climbing up ropes prepare you for an Ironman? Seems fishy to me and that's not because the water is nearby
cool. they do one of the iron man events in my home town so maybe davids will be here to qualify.
Shits hard, they make it look easy, but I've been through several simulated courses, and its hard to keep up, whether its crossing a rope bridge, or flipping the logs (probably the most energy draining and mentally challenging thing seen here), and especially the excercise at 1:08
SEALS are no joke.
@doublebarrel45 I'm in a similar boat and just to let you know, if you drop out of buds, you can't shoot for an EOD slot. You have to wait the two years, get permission from your current command and then choose to try buds again or EOD. And I was also told that the panel that chooses EOD candidates doesn't like to accept buds drop outs (for whatever reason that is).
(Continued) Hybrid warfare is where you use both conventional and unconventional tactics. You use units like SEALs and Delta to do stealth missions to provide Recon or weaken the enemy than you hit them with your massive force, like the Marines or Rangers. Not to mention casualties in this modern age has severely went down. During WW2 a single battle could have casualties in the thousands in the first few hours. These days a single battle could have casualties in the hundreds all week.
Real men do real shit #Salute
@Cookies205 EOD does not like accepting SEAL candidates because EOD does not want to be your second choice.
What do you know?Maybe he actually does something to help the cause. But i actually agree with you, allot of people think things will change while they just sit in their couches and watch tv with a bucket of fried chicken legs, no thats not gonna change anything if you dont take action yourself.
@MrmeetyourmakerPhD - Actually a lot of SEALs go into training with swimming problems (however those are the ones that usually don't make it), just definitely learn to swim and that you're comfortable in the water before you think about heading into BUD/S. Remember though, the percentile of passing graduates is around 30%..
what kind a treathment they give to knee pains and joint problems in navy when they appear you woud not run much
Thanks 👍 England
Thanks 💕
"I can do that - here hold my beer" thats brilliant! haha..best comment on youtube
@doublebarrel45 NO THERE IS NO IF IT DOESNT WORK, MAKE IT WORK, PERSERVERE AND DONT LET ANYONE BELITTLE YOUR AMBITIONS
EVERYTHING ITS POSSIBLE WITH PERSEVERANCE .. THATS ALL!!!
and I am not sure, as a seal you are a more lethal weapon, but as eod you at least learn to a proficient level most seal skills plus all of the eod tricks. And if you get assigned to NSW team your most likely going to receive more training or preparation in those more offensive based skills. I think being EOD would be awesome, but I'm not sure if later on I would be thinking I took the easy way out... (even though EOD is hardcore)...
Seals... She the training the core does? That's some tough shit there
What kind of helicopter is this?-2:18.Is it an improved or updated version of the ones used in Vietnam and now they use it for training?
Very valid point, after all there are literally thousands of leaders in this country. You have the top politicians like the president, senate etc, regional representatives like state Governor's and mayors etc. The gun law for example, over 20 states have claimed that if Obama passes it they will make a new law that will make it illegal for the police force to enforce it. Whether you think gun control is good or bad is your opinion, but it is impossible for all the thousands of men to be corrupt.
You are kick ass!!!
So any chance we can see some race results? I'm interested to see how he did being a high school marathoner and collegiate rotc cadet myself.
Handsome and smart I love it.
Ho.
wow hard work..lazy people who plays video games on the sofa cannot do this...so admire...respect n honor
he was flying through that thing
@jovianksc once you join the Navy or other military branch then you can ask to tryout to be a Navy SEAL.
damn, they are STRONG
@winterqsea they do it with 80 pound bags.
A job that you can be proud of, but you cant brag with what you've done. None ever knows where you've been, what you've done, except other seal members.
@FragTommi Why is it Epic ???
@ARMA365 Good for you mate, i want to try SEALs but if it doesnt work out then im trying ODS or EOD
As a Commander, he is far removed from being a "SEAL operator". He's a SEAL, but he hasn't operated in probably 10 years. By operated, I mean being a member of a SEAL platoon. He's been in charge of them, but that isn't the same thing.
diaz is the best
I'm a Veteran of Foreign Wars
No im not from the us but if you still wanna ask something go ahead maybe ill be able to answer it
Any one know what the background song is?
Finally a normal comment.
Does anyone have the link to the vid where he does it?
I LOVE THIS PEOPLE NO WORDS OR MADE TO PROVIDE pay! Unfortunately URUGUAYO AM wish I could see NORTH AMERICAN BORN! NOW I AM WILLING TO SERVE THIS COUNTRY SO WONDERFUL THAT READ THIS NOTICE TO ASK YOU IF YOU CAN HELP ME TO REPORT! I THANK ALL LAYERS OF WHAT WOULD BE OUT BY SERVING THE ONLY KING OF THE UNIVERSE!
@victoraguirre10 trust me, no they don't. They will take EOD candidates over failed SEAL candidates every time.
Yes, it is obvious that they are from the UH family.Anyway...Are you from the U.S?If you are, I want ot ask you something.
my heart goes out to the families of the 31 us special forces soldiers who died today :( makes my so angry and sad :(
@TheMightySinnerHD it takes a lot more than being a good athlete you have to be mentally tough that's what gets most people
SPAIN HAVE GOT AT GOE AND UOE, LEGION AND MORE.
GOODBAY FROM SPAIN
@doublebarrel45 cool but.....whats ods??
let's the water play.....
@doublebarrel45 easier to said than than done, try that 1% physical and you'll know what i'm talking about. Actually you don't need to attend bud to do it just try full ironman triathlon, it'll more or less simulate physical seal training
BEAST
This is job for the real men.
respect!
awesome. GBA
I'm on deployment 😊
Song name???
I did that. OMG Silver Strand and Coronado
whats his time on the O-course? Damn!
anyone know where I could get this song?
@Eagle249 yeah, they got their noses everywhere, and they're good at it, but what happened when they needed to help their own people when Katrina? They ended asking for help to the mexican army...
respect
What is the music?
@jovianksc As a hardcore athlete, I don't think so. I'm one of the best runners in my school, and I can swim really good.
