For the level of skill and composition showcased on this album, blows my mind these guys are 23. Such an evolution from Cavalcade. And it’s only been a year. Favorite album in well over a decade.
I love how well articulated your commentary is! so many music reaction channels just "WOOOW i really liked the song cause the singing was good and the guitar sounded nice! any way next track-" You guys really get into why songs work and have a good vocabulary to explain it. Love it, keep it up!
On Welcome To Hell, I believe it's about a military person who kills someone on shore leave, and one of their uppers is trying to "console" them by acting like it wasn't a big deal. "If it wasn't you, it would've been cholera, malaria, or some Eastern disease", and he goes on to talk about how it's nothing compared to the horrors of the military. Though, I don't know why they were discharged at the end, it seems like if some upper was taking about it like it wasn't a big deal, there wouldn't have been consequences. Gotta read the lyrics again. Anyway, that's my favorite too. I heard someone mention that they think the album is essentially a bunch of character studies on how people ended up in hell, which I thought was a pretty interesting idea.
I'm glad to see you two enjoyed Hellfire! Looking forward to the 500 subs special. Since you did the TPAB reaction a few months back I was wondering: Do you have any interest in reacting to more Hip-Hop albums in the near future? I would love to see your reactions to Ye's discography :)
Great record!! If you dont know about it I wanna recomend "dust" by screaming trees, it's one of those lost gems of the 90's and it happens to be my fav album, anyways, keep the great job!
try to add as many genres as possible, even hip-hop, rap, country, folklore, punk, etc etc.. and you guys will go off. Subbed because it reminds me of me and my mate smoking bongs listening to random albums and talking about the verses, solos and hooks..
Thanks for the comment dude! We do agree, diversifying genres would be better. We have mostly been doing rock/grunge/metal so far but both Rylee and I do listen to a lot of different genres on our own. They are more of a psych rocker, dream pop fan and and metalhead - while I like experimental rock, industrial, hip-hop and Ambient. I appreciate the support, and am glad you like our channel!

I've been so obsessed with this album, can't wait to see how they keep refining their sound on future ones.

I (Brighton) am a huge Ye fan so hopefully in the near future if I can convince Rylee that is, there will be a video on the College Dropout...

I'd love to see you two check out Ants From Up There from Black Country, New Road! If you like black midi, I think you'll really enjoy them.
Hey, you have to react to Black Country New Road's last album Ants From Up There. Masterpiece doesn't even come close to describing it!!

Rylee is non-binary! We understand the confusion lol
