Chilbolton Observatory from the air

Since opening on 14th April 1967, the Chilbolton Observatory, run by STFC’s RAL Space has become a centre for atmospheric and space observations and experiments that underpin a broad range of scientific research across the world. Here you can see the variety of instruments and facilities on site, from the 25m steerable radar to the UK’s Low Frequency Array radio telescope station.
