This is actually a double-sided sword against AI-generated music. I almost wanted to bring it up as a slam, but I have the foresight to concede that AI cannot (or would not) do this. AI takes ideas revealed in patterns that actually function and spits them back out with altered states that are contained within those established paradigms. While AI tirelessly reproduces the methods of human innovation, there is one thing that it will never manufacture and that is: *nurtured intention.* Thus, a parallel is noted between this performance and the machine.

Hitting tons of harmonics while finger picking. He's forming complex stretching bar chord structures. Hammering on and pulling off these chords. And yeah the sounds he is making are not pleasant or arranged to be pleasant ... Because he is telling all the most fucked up things that hapend in his childhood. He's making sound effects at times to emphasize points of the story. I mean it's clear he's skilled and this would take some skill to do and its unique.

I love Henry Kaiser's music. It's absolutely untethered from any musical conventions or traditions and he clearly doesn't give a single thought to pleasing anyone. It's pure self-expression utterly devoid of cliché and completely removed from what would normally even be considered music. I think every artist has some true inner voice, but that voice is compromised by goals, expectations, influences, and a desire to be successful. Henry seems not to be distracted by those things.

this being unpleasant to listen to is half the point, and most commenters here are missing that. this performance has significantly more value than anything to ever hit a top 40 chart. it's fine if you dont get it, but to say it's outright bad when we live in a world where bands like imagine dragons and florida georgia line exist is absurd. dont get me wrong, im not gonna be adding this to a playlist any time soon, but i wouldnt put daddy by korn in a playlist either for pretty much the exact same reason as this song. doesnt make either of them bad.

It’s all in acquired taste. Some people appreciate sauerkraut in their cereal and others don’t
