This region has been home for over 40 years. Would not want to live anywhere else. I should know lol. As a trucker, I have been to all lower 48 states and 3 provinces of Canada….no place like home! Nice production.
Was just fishing where the video @ 0:33 was taken, and immediately additionally recognized the location where 0:49 was videoed. Retired now, but I've done heavy equipment contract work for BSNF across the area, B&B mostly - and the Amtrak ADA upgrades from Libby to Cut Bank. Really cool video. Even pronounced Kootenai correctly for this region. Big thumbs up!
Nice video from the East Portal. The last time we were there BNSF had posted the entire access to the area. Additional Tunnel facts: the blower fans are powered by a 16-cylinder locomotive prime mover; the paved forest service road that runs over the tunnel is maintained by BNSF year-around for MOW and crew van access.
Another great Montana Production! You were on spot with most info, although the Flathead tunnel was boared in 69. Funny enough I know literally every spot you shot at! Great job once again!
I've enjoyed your work for some time and it just gets better. The cinematography is excellent. Your appreciation of place gives the trains context. Your technical quality is outstanding. I'm a fan!
Good job, another tunnel that has a similar fan system to the Flathead Tunnel is the Moffat Tunnel in Colorado, it is 6 and a half miles long and has refuge alcoves built inside it in case railroad employees become stranded with gas masks inside each alcove.
Hi i love all your videos and i don't no the trains went through so many tunnels I didn't know there was that many and a great thanks for all you do jay
Wow words can't describe how amazing how much footage you and your team has captured back in 2014. Its hard to believe that this was nine years ago. Outstanding job and keep up with the hard work.
The DVD or Blu-ray version offers a "narration off" track so you can do just that. www.7ideaproductions.com/products/bnsfs-kootenai-river-sub?_pos=1&_sid=9017c3f2a&_ss=r
Another amazing video!! Fantastic production! Beautiful country! Your dedication to get these trains on video, can't be understated! Plus there's always a history lesson on these videos about the route and the buildings! Keep them coming!!
Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to better what the orator is describing. My favorite scenic train🚂 rides. Durango Colorado & Bryson City North Carolina. Wishing viewers/R.R. employees a safe/healthy/prosperous (2024) 🌈🎉😉 .viewing this presentation from the comfort zone of my computer room.. Along the " Space Coast " of Florida🐊🐊. ( 2-19-24 ). Rail systems Jacksonville to Almore/Jacksonville to Miami/Orlando to Tampa.
Great video. Nice to see trains in the neighborhood ( I live in Eureka ). Don’t get to see a lot of that track between Fisher river and Trego unless you’re on the forest road 36. Y’all ever see any riders while you’re filming? Thanks for the great footage.
Maybe others observed that one of the tank car (@ 21:35 - 21:40) wobbles left and right, seems to have a big problem. Or maybe because it's tank is empty?!
Gorgeous area-too bad Empire Builder passengers miss this both directions unless their train is very late. One minor correction-the Bakken crude oil is not destined for export but headed for Western refineries as there is not a crude oil pipeline west from the Bakken.
1:48:00 Wait so that door on the tunnel opens just in time as the train is nearing it? What if it malfunctions or something, the train will just slam into it?
Why when there is a double stack on a container car and the containers are different lengths is the longer container always on top of the shorter container? It just seems counter intuitive.
@39:40 C.I.A. BUG!!!!! C.I.A. BUUUUG!!!!!!!! WHO'STAKING VIDEO AND PICTURES OF WHO!?! *C.I.A. bug flies away RTB with the footage! 🤣🤣🤣 to anybody who didnt kno. those bugs are actually C.I.A. cameras flying and hovering around 🤣

Thank you! Absolutely loved filming there.
If there's some place in the after life😇 like where you currently reside. You're going to enjoy your new home for all of eternity -!😉
There is…and I will🎉
The natural atmosphere looks very calming and comfortable
That's what makes these productions so extraordinary. Next best thing to being there.
Viewing this presentation brings back musical .memories of. The ' Singing Breakman " Jimmy Rogers.
Awesome catches! BNSF is one of my favorite railroads
Great narrated video, beautiful scenery
Thank you!

Thank you for the correction!
BNSF is my favorite railroad out of the big 4.
Same here
@@atsf4life183 My favorite railroad of all time is Santa Fe and since they are apart of BNSF, that makes me like BNSF more than UP, NS, and CSX.
I've enjoyed your work for some time and it just gets better. The cinematography is excellent. Your appreciation of place gives the trains context. Your technical quality is outstanding. I'm a fan!
Thank you very much!
New 7idea video, yeah!
Very nice video ❤ big fan

This was an incredible video. Such a beautiful part of tbe PNW captured and narrated so well. Thanks.

I really would love to have an ambient version with no narrative, just the sounds of the train and nature

Thanks for the hard work and for sharing the fantastic results here. In some ways I like the Kootenai scenery better than the run east of Whitefish.
Another awesome entry in your work. I knew next to nothing about this sub nor it’s geography and cool points along the way. Love the work!
Beautiful country up there
Another great video of a beautiful place that doesn’t get much coverage. Thanks! (And that’s one “Unstoppable” locomotive at 22:41)
I love your videos. Last couple days I've watched several of them. Great job guys!!
Look closely at one of the tanker cars around 21:40 as it’s sure shimmering back and forth.
Your video has picture book like scenery in it ...thank you soo much for your work
Wow this is really very beautiful here
and seeing the train out there is very beautiful and magnificent Thank You.

I was very lucky? to be on a very delayed #8 back in January 2010 and so was able to see (and video) this area.
"Excellent !! "
YESSSS Idaho train action yo!!
I was born here. along time ago. 1954 to be exact.
Nice vid
1:48:00 Wait so that door on the tunnel opens just in time as the train is nearing it? What if it malfunctions or something, the train will just slam into it?
Glad that wasn't my grain(presumably) spread down the middle of that track.
I like train videos on RUclips 👍
Oh yes, its awesome.
Очень интересно правда)) Классный ролик!))
I hope this translates correctly in Google. Спасибо
21:37 .... that tank car has a long way to go to be acting all wiggly worm like that, hope it settles down!
Saw it
I know,,,, right ?@@1lik3tr41ns
I know one thing that diamond needs to be leveled 🚂
Pretty sure that's a call of a bald eagle at 1:09:17

Where can l apply to work on diesel trains in school now graduate this coming September with a diesel engine degree ?
Why Amtrak trains have so many delays ?😮
Any chance we can get an "About 7Idea" video? I'd love to hear your story of how you and your family started this enterprise
Could u do the up tracks in Idaho?
Are the diamonds supposed to flex that much?
Show
I dispatched this sub..
is that route the route of the former Northern Pacific main line?
No this is GN.
thanks@@7ideaproductions
