Guys anybody here knows how to take it apart to get to the gears? I love the thing but it has grinding noise. I wanted to change the grease in gears but it's either difficult to get there or impossible.

Green is hard orange is medium and red is soft. It really depends on the paint you are polishing and the compound you have. It’s the same as using a large polishing machine but on a smaller scale

Cant decide if i should buy one of these or the Maxshine/autobrite machines - they are 80w machines but this later spta appears to be 280w but im not sure how much difference that makes because the maxshine/autobrite machines done appear to bog out under pressure either?

This one in theory has more power and from this video looks like it does indeed have more power in use as well.
The biggest thing that kept me on the fence for so long is that more and more people seem to be experiencing overheating issues with the older model recently (Meaning people buying it brand new, and having issues with heat to the point that the polisher shuts down.). It doesn't seem to be all of them, just an issue that's more and more common recently and wasn't there on older versions of that model, so I'm not saying anybody that has it or buys it is going to have issues. I'm just saying it's something to keep in mind.
My honest advice would be if you have the older one and it's doing the job for you and you haven't had any issues, then you'll probably be alright with it. If you're still able to return the old model and it overheating in the future is a big concern and you're able to be without the polisher for a bit then it may be worth swapping out but that's gonna depend on the individual.
On the other hand if you don't already have the older model and you're looking for a cordless micro, it's probably best to just grab this newer model, unless you have a specific purpose in mind or reason why the older model is a better fit for you personally.
As a caveat, I would say that if somebody is looking for a cordless mini polisher and doesn't like this style or something, check out the Hilda cordless mini polisher. It's another IBrid Nano clone like the older SPTA model, and it hasn't been around as long as the SPTA, but it does have really really good reviews so far at a great price, and doesn't seem to have any over heating issues like some of the newer SPTA IBrid Nano clones seem to.
