I think the "violent imagery" might be Batman's deepest thoughts about killing Joker. Joker responds to this like he does because he's got a good relationship with killing and death, and to sound creepy or off putting. He has a very Joker response to someone wanting to kill him. It's a core idea of Batman's character that he's as insane as his villains, even the Joker, but he keeps himself in check by not killing. The idea is he wouldn't be able to get enough of the killing, and he would eventually run out of villains to kill. It's an idea best exemplified by Vampire Batman, where he can't drink blood because it's the only thing keeping him from becoming damned like the vampires he fights, which there's a difference between damned and untainted vampires in those books. Batman was immune to holy water and had some other benefits because he never drank blood. Then, he drank blood, out of the vampiric instincts he was resisting the whole time, became damned, and demanded to have a stake through the heart because he knew it would be impossible to resist when the urge struck.
Sounds awesome, I always thought it would be cool if the end result of Arkham's Batman was "The Batman Who Laughs". That comic was insane and I've always wanted to see some game or movie made based on it. I think it could work decently with the story, since Rocksteady is moving on and making a suicide squad game, maybe they could show Batman degenerating and becoming the insane Batman due to the fact that he killed Joker. And even having an end scene of the newest game playing as Batman, like the end scene of Arkham Knight as joker. Maybe showing him falling to the same toxin that got to Joker and Ultimately led to his death. Idk I just think Arkhams story has always been crazy, always thought that if they wanted to give Batman a send off in the series, they should be wild about it
I don't think that's what the imagery was at all honestly. I really don't think he wants Joker dead, hell the times he believed the Joker did die he was always depressed as a result. In one of the comics, don't remember too clearly the context but I remember Superman calling Batman out. "You're mad that I took him from you" he said to Bruce while he was brooding over the Joker's death.
It makes it even funnier when you realize the joker is just an imagination of Batman due to fear toxin which means Batman himself is saying these to himself

I actually love how this shows off how considerately this game was coded Any other game, Joker and the goon would talk at the same time - and you would end up hearing neither of them. In Arkham Knight, they wait for one dialogue to end before the next one so you can hear both

Gotta re-visit them sometime.
Joker: "I saw your secret folder."
I LIVE FOR THIS 😍
And have the option to write about the best friend and older
Batman didn't say yes, but he also didn't say no.
This is even more of a riot when you think this is actually Bruce's subconscious talking!
Bruce boy, you just outed yourself, darling!
Hehehe
So Bruce just outed the fact that he likes to beat up Joker who is a violent psychopathic sadist? Doesnt sound like a dirty secret but a very normal reaction..
What is wrong with batman wanting to beat up a crazy violent psycopath?
@@brucew565 Absolutely nothing, my dear boy. But see above anyway...Don't be afraid, Bruce!
@@orchid8053 If you in had even a modicum of common sense, you would have noticed that all this scene implies is Batman likes to violently beat up joker. Why wouldnt he like to beat up a guy who has kidnapped brainwashed and tortured and even killed some of his allies?
Secondly, batman is clearly romantically involved with both Catwoman and Talia. You are seeing what they are seeing because they have a sick sick dirty mentality
"You only had to ask...."
Y'all need a therapist who won't turn into your crazy ass girlfriends. There is sadism and then there's you two.
I like how this is just Batman thinking about wanting to crack the Joker's skull open over and over and people are here like
"Is this love?"
that's why I keep my ships for myself
Oh yeah Joker and Batman are fruity as hell
When I go to the comments for bat-puns but find wattpad fanfiction instead
Joker likes it rough *growls*
I wanna know what happens next!
Septic beast Nothing unfortunately.
It's just one of the hallucinations caused by Joker. After that he'll just stand there until I leave.
The only thing that might have happened was me doing some screenshots with the in game tool, because those skyline pics like epic. :')
But yeah, I'm afraid that's all that happened.
If you want to see more conversations between the two of them, consider watching a full playthrough. The Arkham Series are a delight to play and watch.
@@th0rne_999 I'm going to receive this game on Christmas Eve soon, and absolutely cannot wait to play it! Looks like so much fun from the gameplay videos I've seen.
WHOOO!! Like I always say, THEY SHIP EACH OTHER SO WHY NA!!
I'm late to the party but HOLY SHIT--
I know Joker is a hallucination, but I can't help but also see him as a ghost that only Batman is able to see.
That's... exactly what he is in Arkham Knight.
**heavy fangirl breathing**
Mark Hamill is so talented
*Y E S*
IS FUSION!!!!
Hola Foxita, he añadido subtítulos en español. Espero que puedas entender ahora.
@@th0rne_999 agradecido con el de arriba 😌🙏
If Batman hadn't stopped Scarecrow, we would have gotten the Batman that laughs.
I ship what l ship
I actually love how this shows off how considerately this game was coded
Any other game, Joker and the goon would talk at the same time - and you would end up hearing neither of them. In Arkham Knight, they wait for one dialogue to end before the next one so you can hear both
True! It flows really well.
It also feels so natural, the fact that I could have simply kept going and ignored Joker and never witnessed this little bit.
i replied city for the zillionth time after my 2nd knight playthrough and man i forgot just how much dialogue gets interrupted
😁😃OMG!!! YAAASSSSSSSSSSSS
I have managed to pause at the 49/49 seconds therefore I have powers beyond science and I shall no longer be a mere human and become the "best timing man"
Now go conquer the world!
@@etdetopetecanalantigo2129 you know what I just might
Aahh hail "Best timing man"
Friend: "... c'mon why such a long name?" LoL
My favorite ship
I mean I pretty sure in the Red Hood movie when Jason asked why Batman didn't just kill Joker, Bruce does say because it would be easy and he always thinks of killing joker in the most brutal ways to make up for all the terrible things he did to innocent people.
Of course it is, isn't that obvious? :v
Well what can I say Joker gets my motor running😏
HELL FACKING YA
Just as Batman completes the Joker, Deep down the Joker completes the Batman though Batman will never admit it...
Lmao *kinky*
I need to know what game this is though...
chill • retr0 It’s Batman: Arkham Knight
ARCH EAGLE 101 thank you
@@witchesbrewww So you haven't played the Arkham Series
It's never too late to start.
@@witchesbrewww You should play the other games first before coming to Knight.
Mil gracias a quien puso los subtítulos en español
Mark Hamill = Best Joker
The joker saying bruce doesn't feel right
Is Mr. J standing on air?!
I didn't even notice!
Well, he is a ghost, so that isn't completely out of the ordinary.
I like how dead joker has a slight sense of self awareness
I mean...this IS in Batman's head so I'm struggling to find a heterosexual explanation for this.

Also, there are literal academic essey written about the romantic implications within this dynamic. I ain't dropping any hot news here.
I don't like the idea of BatJokes being actually romantic apart from a murder-soulmates kind of way. But the LEGO Batman movie made me rethink that. And now this.
