Great build! Like your open design table, I had the same thought. I've been working on a variation of Jeremy's design as well. Like him it is taking me a long time! Their are so many belt grinders on YT but this design to me is really unique. As a group belt grinder design keeps getting pushed up a level!

I just love the comments people make when they say “you stole that idea from so and so.” No, the minute a video is posted it is public and free to use for ones personal education or ideas on how to build it yourself. That’s what we call it sharing!😊 Even saying “I made this” isn’t a lie just because it’s someone else’s creation first, the fact remains that you DID build it yourself, we watched. It’s good to give credit where it’s due but please never fear the keyboard cowboys comments my friend. They’re just jealous they don’t have a skill set as vast as yours😉 Another great job too! Thanks for sharing✌🏼

well put. we all put flourishes on existing ideas. Its both and additive adn subtractive process. And did you see the guys home made vice! I looked up Calem vices before I realized he had made it himself!
      Clever people out there.

Very nice work. Well done. You and others who do various projects like this build makes me want to try my hand at it one day. I have made tools although crude in comparison to level of workmanship I see produced by you and the others who do similar work. Jeremy is spot on in his evaluation, which is a very high compliment, for everyone who has posted here with one exception, ME has actually produced some very outstanding products. So I want to thank you and the whole community of u tubers who build repair invent restore repurpose so others may be encouraged and keep the art and skill of working with you hands alive.

Seems like the square tube in tube approach worked out just fine. Nice fit-up and solid workmanship all around. Much simpler than the original solid square bar and welded receiver design too. Sure, one is much beefier, but I'll wager both get the job done and vibration probably isn't an issue. Like the DIY vice too. Very clever.

Good idea bracing your stand with tension rods, much less material required than compression which has to resist bowing. Should work with pipe too. Idea! Make heavy machinery stand with big pipe, then fill pipes with sand to damp vibration. Could possibly be done without welding. Does not have the panache of your work, though :). OTOH, though....
