last time i peeled a pomegranate it took me no joke at least 45 minutes. and it required a lot more cleanup. this however took like 5 minutes and was a lot less messy. thank you!
If you have a deep love for pomegranates as I do but you absolutely hate peeling them, watch this video. I am embarrassed to confess that there were times in the grocery market when I would avoid eye contact with pomegranates simply because I dread peeling them. But to my utmost delight, I have recently discovered something that I should have found ages ago!! Apparently Asians have had a great relationship with pomegranates since the beginning of China. On that side of the world nobody dreads peeling pomegranates. No, they don't drown and pluck... They simply spank the seeds out of them. Now that I have finally found out their secret, I have a newfound love for pomegranates! (Turns out many people already know this!! How did this peeling art get past me!?) Going from a 20 minute bloody battle to a 2 minute spanking has revolutionized my life and I no longer avoid eye contact. Now I am aware that I am not alone… There are other pomegranate lovers among us who still avoid going down the pomegranate aisle. Just like me, this obvious secret peeling art has managed to elude them until now. Allow me to take out the bitter from your bitter-sweet relationship. If the past version of me describes you, then I hope you already watched this video. Yesterday. Oh and one last thing. I heard that it is very healthy to pass this video on to any of your suffering pomegranate loving friends. Let’s make pomegranates great again! Bon Appetite’
This has forever changed my view of peeling pomegranate! I loved to eat them but they always take forever to cut and make such a mess! This was super easy, took maybe 5 mins, and didn't spray juice everywhere! Thank you!
It was so easy I just tried it thank u My husband use to peel it for me he passed away since then i stoped buying but my daughter bought it for me and it was sitting there since three days after looking your video i found out it’s so easy ❤
Well, doesn't really help with unripe ones I can get from the stores... riddled with membranes at least 8-12 sections, pellets are hanging on real tight...
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I love to eat it but was always turned off chore of peeling and the big mess. This was super easy and ready to eat in minutes.
I thought of commenting but no use my mom peeled of them while I'm watching the video🤣🤣🤣😭 by the way thank you because she learnt how to do it from this video
Pomegranates are one of the paradise fruits mentioned in the Holy Quran. Quranic medicine scholars believe that pomegranate as a fruit of paradise comes in autumn because the autumn season is the fall season of trees and clogs of the sky and is very useful in preventing depression and worry.
Hey, I love your videos, they're very informative and knowledgeable. Could you make a video on how to check all the limits/loads on a furnace with ohms, voltage, etc., to check if they're good/working and describe what the resistances (if any) should roughly be? That'd be awesome!!
I am just about to peel pomegranates for our Traditional pomegranate dish for Thanksgiving. I appreciate this. I just muted the music, and focused. I will try this. I have two more videos on the easiest way to cut open a pomegranate. I will use one of them. Thank you.
Oh yes! While filming this video it seems like the red dots got to every part of the room... (I did a couple pomegranates) But the pomegranates were delicious! Although I bet the organic, fresh off the tree ones that you had were much better!
What do I do with it after I peel it Jay? That’s only half the equation. What are the best use applications for this odd looking fruit? Throw in blender?
The peel and all the white membrane sections get thrown away or given to the chickens or other farm animals and the seeds can be eaten as they are. :) They're delicious! But yes, you can use them as an ingredient in a smoothie as well. My wife likes to make salads with pomegranate seeds in it. (there are many different kinds)
That’s fantastic Jay, great advice! The best part of the story is going to be the now needed addition of chickens and a variety of hooved farm animals (I need to see what Dakota County will allow) and my wife’s reaction to our new family members! I’m sure my son will love it! Will see how long I can stay married for.
Word of Advice TV That could be a very opportunity rich topic to connect better with the farming community. It sounds like a great idea, however my fragile ego might take a hit when I max out at 1 subscriber. I did take a close look at the Pomegranates while running through Target last night. The seed has been planted. Concerned I might get hooked.
Haha the start is always slow but if you persist, it will grow. And I'm glad to hear I have created some interest in pomegranates! :) They really are delicious! ;) Enjoy!
U saved my time. But I don't really know what to do with the saved time😂😂.. But it's nice coz my mom saw me as a professional chef when I did this in front of her🤭. Thank you😁
Just been given a bag of pomegranates from my Spanish farmer!!! I’m going to attack the pomegranates tomorrow. Live pomegranates but it’s always been hard to eat! Thanks for sharing this!
Haha I know right? Back then this was pretty fast actually since this video was made before tiktok, shorts, and reels started trending. Videos are way more fast paced now then they used to be.
Thank you so much for your video I watched after I peeled my 5 pomegranate hard work believe me ( didn’t have time to find out)now I know next time and I’m going to buy more often pomegranates. Thanks.
@@classic287 To be honest, I am not sure. My dad has always told me they are good for the heart and very healthy. I consulted Dr. Google and here's what he had to say: "In addition to antioxidants, pomegranates are a source of fibre, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin K and potassium. One pomegranate supplies one-quarter of a day's worth of folate (a B vitamin needed to synthesize and repair DNA) and one-third of your daily vitamin C" Source: www.theglobeandmail.com/life/health-and-fitness/health/pomegranate-a-superfood-that-goes-straight-to-your-heart/article15742280/

Thanks. Although I recommend a shorter blade for this kind of cutting.
Who is holding a pomegranate and trying to peel while watching this video 😂
Me lol
How many of you guys noticed the glitch just after 2:21 (possibly he paused took his sweet time to remove all the seeds and resumed the video)
😂😂😂😂😂😂
we have the biological advantage of having eyes and we can observe the bowl of seeds and notice how they dont change at all
Banana is much easier. So let's to keep eating banana! 🍌
great advice thanks bro
Dude xD
Such a inspirational comment
Eating grapes is much more easier...just saying
@@dr.devinci5325 no way. Cause grapes must be washed. Bananas we just need to peel.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. This helped me so much, it usually takes me like 30 minutes to do this, but now it takes me like 5 minutes.
You're welcome! Happy to hear the video helped, enjoy the pomegranates!!
Me: *tries to peel a pomegranate the cleanest way but goofs up*

Good video, first time I ever saw one opened up. How do you eat this?
Most people eat them just like that! Get a bigger spoon and have them as a snack. They're delicious! You gotta try it at least once!
With your mouth... 🙄
I love Pomegranate! The red things that pop out can be eaten just like that, or you can use them in a recipe.

If I had to choose between going deaf and having to constantly listen to this music, I'll gladly go deaf
Thanks !! Very helpful and enlightening !
Thanks for the tutorial! Loved the music as well.
I had many white t-shirts get dotted with the juice from pomegranates a down street neighbor grew in the front yard. They were so good though.
