@@graememccormack-reamer3635 if you think breathing and being alive is better than being dead for eternity, you would choose immortality nomatter the drawbacks
This phenomenon was very briefly addressed in "Interview With a Vampire", when Brad Pitt's character realizes he has outlived his time, yet will not die.
i liked it up till the age of 5k years old lol i wouldn’t want to life more than 5k years bc imagine everyone passes away and gets into another dimension while u are still stuck in a dimension which is not relevant and is dying. I would feel like an outcast in a whole universe where nothing is left expect stones and dead planets which stopped to rotate. No sun no light just endless darkness.
First and foremost; I love the story that was put together, in general. However, Personally, I do not think I'd be depressed after only a few hundred years as I am used to being a hermit and alone. I do think that it was hilarious that we can somehow, suddenly, "travel" through space on our willpower and "visit" many different planets. lol Also, I found it saddest that, somehow, in this scenario humans apparently lost all ambition to improve and we never traveled to another planet AND we also, somehow, never established space stations to live on despite our countless advancements. Personally, I NEVER want/wanted children (as a woman), but I'd probably have MANY via surrogacy instead. I'd make sure to regularly hold family reunions and meet ALL of my lineage and get caught up on how their lives were going. I couldn't just ignore them like they made the Cooper character in Interstellar do; that did not compute for me.
This will be a new type on loneliness, somewhere along the line light ends, so for you nothing exists in your eyes and everywhere you look is darkness, it’s like you’re dead but you’re not. Probably pretty cold too
nice story bro. in fact you would probably go crazy at some point. i mean after thousands of years drifting through space alone you can't be anywhere clear in your mind anymore. But then you have to contemplate if immortal also means that your mind can't be harmed... but then quite a lot of other things here wouldn't have made sense. uff.
Funny ideas I Voted in every country! (Marry a woman in every country to gain citizenship) I graduated every college! (108000 years if you did four years)
A similar situation is where you can not feel pain or sweat. Also known as CIPA disease. It could be life threatening as you cannot feel or know where you've been hurt.
Immortal and invincible are two distinct concepts, although they are often confused or used interchangeably. Immortal refers to the state of living forever, while invincible means being unable to be harmed or defeated. While an immortal being can still be injured or killed, an invincible being is impervious to harm.
Adorian, hunny you just proved a MANs procrastination of doing anything they don't want to do by saying it would take 10,000 years for them to want to help humanitys problems!!!
It's so touching to me. It would mean eventually running out of things to do and overpopulation in all of us being immortal. Just imagine how much your age would be eventually and if you would forget about what your age really is.
Good point. The universe is massive even if it's not infinite. Besides, even if the eventual heat death or whatever else happens and that ends the universe, we would hopefully have plenty of time to go to another one and if not, well at least we tried.
I’ve got a better idea to utilise immortality. Take control of the world, establish one world order, become type 1 civilisation and continue to grow from there. Then with the help of advance technologies try to ascend into higher dimensions. Try to become the GOD for the rest of your immortality. Once you become god, then recreate the multiverse and in each universe create yourself with a burning desire to become god. By doing this you will create a cycle , a paradox. From the multiverse, one version of you will succeed in becoming god and replacing you (killing you or deleting you) and then he will recreate the universe and so on
omg... really? 0:31 ? Just because you're immortal doesn't mean you'r invincible. It doesn't mean you cannot break your bones, it doesn't mean you can't get injured. Being immortal *just* means you cannot die. Yeah, you got one right, being immortal doesn't mean you live forever, it means everybody else dies. But being immortal also means you might experience existence-long pain. What if you fall to the ground from a plane, smash every bone inside of your body into shambles. Immortaly doesn't grant you regeneration or healing powers. What if you have to live in that shattered state of your body forever, because you're *just* immortal, not invincible?
Reality: As soon as people in high places get to know about you, you're kidnapped for studies for eternity until they can discover what makes you tick.
You’re misunderstanding something that everyone does. Immortals don’t die from age but they can still be killed by anything like falling off a cliff or drowning. Invulnerable would be the inability to die from harming but could still die from old age. You’d have to be both to live forever free of age and harm.
but wait theres a problem with your story you said that in 2,000 years humanity has made huge leep in science and space exploration and thats were a it click i mean if humanity achieve space travel wont we become an imortal race i mean think about it if earth got destroy wont we be able to just find another planet to inhabit heh well thats my though on the subject hope u guys like it 😅😅😅😅
