The biggest issue I have with mainline Pokemon on the switch is the fact that they take one step forward and then three steps back. It just makes no sense to me.
Best Switch pokemon games
1) Pokken Tournament DX
2) Legends Arceus
4) New Pokemon Snap
5) Scar and Violet
6) Pokemon Lets Go
The rest are forgettable
Ranked? Because if it was then Imo I think it should be
1) Scarlet and Violet
2) Pokken DX
3) Sword and Shield
4) Pokémon Unite
5) Pokémon Let’s Go
6) Pokémon Cafe
I know most won’t agree
There isn't really a ranking for it, it just depends on the person.
Sword and Shield are so overhated.
nah theyre underhated, they were the start of all the terrible trends that plagued S/V
Sword and Shield are some of my favourites. I truly don't understand all of the hate they receive. Sure, they are by no means the best creations but aren't exactly a crime against nature.
@@PokemonNerd265 I agree with you. The wild area is very good, I love being able to randomly collect items while you explore. The new pokemon had pretty good designs, especially Corviknight and Urshifu. VGC matches were more like a chess game and less like an unstoppable hotspot for power creep. Sword is actually the only main series game I have played, besides Let’s Go Pikachu, so I have a soft spot for it.
*underhated
Sword and shield is the reason why I even talk about Pokémon. It was the first Pokémon game that I played and if someone talks crap about it, I will find you
They said Dexit was because so they could have more time for better animations and graphics which was a complete lie. Not only are the graphics almost as bad as the PS2 but the worst part was that all the 3D pokemon models were reused from sun and moon and x and y. If you reused all the models anyway then transfer all the pokemon models which would take a month and a half to do at worse
Unite, legends and the raids as a system is the best thing to happen to Pokémon. The rest needs a lot of work still
Legends is incredible overrated. Game was ok but only on the surface level with little depth to the game. Game has very little replay ability. Hopefully they evolve the legends formula in AZ but I have little hope for Gamefreak nowadays.
@@MIBxSpartan i agree but it still is fun
@@MIBxSpartanI agree with legends Arceus having little replay ability but I don’t think it’s overrated.
@@MIBxSpartan the replay value is shiny hunting. Seriosly one of the most fun games to do it in but if thats not your thing i get it. Finishing the pokedex is really fun but once you do that the game is basically out of content. If pokemon z adds more fleshed out battles and post game it would be amazing.
@@user-hi4ww4eu7oNo sh*t? Every game feels complete when the pokedex is complete. Jesus pokemon fans complain about absolutely everything and nothing all at once
SwSh is over hated, SwSh has great music, & I both of the DLC were very good.
I agree i loved those games :D
You wre right i restarted the game nowadays
Funnily enough, my first playthrough of Legends Arceus reminded me a lot of the ranger trilogy and no other game has felt like it since. I think it’s a mix of the quest system, the humor, and the boss fights. Anyways great vid (plz make one about the ranger games)
I am working on the ranger games one next! I have a lot of scripts ready for so it won’t be next but it should be out next week! :)
Mainline Pokémon should have stayed in 2D, or 2and1/2D.
It would be better to tweak existing features to change up the gameplay instead of introducing lame gimmicks.
Random Pokémon encounters in tall grass, caves, and while surfing were better than seeing them loafing around doing nothing.
Pokémon stats, abilities and move pools should be balanced better so that all fully evolved Pokémon are balanced better and we don’t have situations like Delibird being almost useless against a Dragonite at the same level even though delibird has a type advantage. They’ll never be able to fully balance that many Pokémon. But having some evolutionary lines being way better than others regardless of typing is lame.
Pokémon is a type of game that benefits from being linear instead of open world because your literally not capable of competing against later game opponents when your just starting out. It’s not like in BOTW or Elder Scrolls where you can make up for your early game weakness by just being good at the game.
If they want to keep the story easy for kids that’s cool, but there should be optional side missions that jack up the difficulty for all the fans that are adults.
With the memory and performance of the switch they could make a game more similar to an earlier gen game but better with way more content in it and I think that would be a much more fun experience than a game like Scarlet and Violet.
Yes, mainline Pokemon on the Switch is absolutely awful. I’m disgusted at the state of the franchise
Calm yourself, they’re only video games. They’re worse things to be disgusted by, like eating liver, ew.
Agreed, but the fans have themselves to blame. They keep rewarding GF regardless of what bs they pull. At this point I get my Pokémon fix through romhacks, fans get the franchise more than GF itself.
Agreed. Wish they would revamp the mainline games and go to a hybrid 2D/3D system I’ve seen in some unreal engine 5 concepts of what Pokemon games should look like.
Well said, storm trooper.
@@Mage-mc7mz Liver at least is extremely nutritious. The most nutritious food on earth, actually.
Pokémon games on the switch give you a brain tumor.
I think you forgot about Pokenn Tournament DX.
I honestly don't get the complaining on Pokemon Swsh graphics that much, yes it lacks in comparison with other Switch games, but not that much, they feel like Wii, Wii U graphics which is not nearly as bad as fans say. The national dex thing is kinda annoying but it makes sense why they did it, plus it is still really fun to catch all Pokemon there are in the game, the story could've used a bit more time in development but overall the games are not the worst.
I feel like there is no excuse for the graphics, the only thing holding these games back is the Pokémon company just rushing out these games, I doubt Z-A will be better
Brother you are the problem. This kind of thinking is why people just shove their money down GF’s throat when they keep releasing games that look like they came out 10 years ago… like you just compared the graphics to the Wii and that came out when I was 5… I’m 23 now.
@@rwmoss01 I don't care if I enjoyed it, which I did, plus they were my first Pokemon games and I preferred buying those over SV.
No the criticism is valid. SWSH legitimately looks like shit, especially the Wild Area which was the most heavily promoted part of the game. It looks so bad and washed out. Put it side by side with LA and it's literally night and day even though it was the same gen. Let's Go looks better
@@emanuelivanramosperez1312 I’m all for people enjoying whatever games they want, I’m sure some of my favorite games are considered trash by others so I’m glad you enjoyed it! It’s more so the fact that Pokémon is the highest grossing property of all time, and they keep putting out half baked games that don’t run properly
I played Violet a year late, when the dlc was already out. So my experience with Scarlet and Violet were amazing cause the bugs and glitches were improved by the time I got the product. I did not get the glitches people were talking about. I got to enjoy the amazing story of Paldea, Arven as well as the dlc. I think timing is key. For me Scarlet Violet are the second best, first being Legends Arceus
While I don’t think main line Pokémon games on the switch are as bad as many people say they are I do believe they are the weakest line up of main line game to date. They all just feel like one step forward and two steps back. That said though Legends and Mystery Dungeon GX are the best Pokémon games on the switch which is sad because they’re spin offs.
Yeah it is a strange world where the spin offs are better than main line games right now. With more time I think these games would be way better :)
Legends is not a spin-off. It's just a second mainline game series alongside with new generations of games
@@minislayer3241so it's a spinoff line
@@drippyfrog628 🤦
Bro mystery dungeon WAS NOT one of the best. It was so weird to navigate
Dexit was nearly pointless. With the DLC of scarlet and violet it literally almost has everything up to that point and one single update could have added the rest of the National dex. That game was rushed too.
@Mr.LameNWatch that's the point. They didn't want to play test every single pokemon because believe it or not they have families they would like to spend time with. 400 is plenty the first time around. People dying around the world. Relax.
No it’s not pointless, it’s so that they can add Pokémon back in the DLCs so people buy them!!!
Well, "Switch Pokemon era" is more disappointing, than bad. Like, in its core, those games are just fine. They're nothing special (like, a CoD for kids) but not completely terrible. It's just frustrating that game series like Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Kirby, etc. got some of the best games in each respective series.
At the end of the day, yeah, I acknowledge all flaws but I still love those games and gladly put 100+ hours in each game.
Pokken, Mystery Dungeon DX, Snap and Unite are fire though
That's a good way to explain Pokemon (CoD for kids) the Legends Arceus game and probably ZA will be different, but the rest aren't very different.
The only Pokemon Switch game that I can say was the best they offered was Legends because it had everything we wanted for Pokemon to do and more.
bro what's with all the Helen Keller slander 😭🙏
I will never let anyone forget she was a fraud :D
"A lot of the Hisuian Pkmn are lazy designs."
The crazy part is this isn't even the most controversial thing said in the video. That's how u know it's filled with them.
Well, it's been bad since the 3ds. Pokémon peaked in the DS era and it's been a downward spiral ever since, but since the jump to the switch and to proper console we were expecting something special and it's embarassing, lucky the gameplay still makes it entertaining althought stupid one off gimmicks are worsening it
(Exception being Legends, but who would've thought not being afraid to inovate would yieald this result)
People shitting on a game because it wasn’t made the exact way they wanted it (it’s a children’s game)

Another good timing posting this video lol. NSO just announced Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue team. It's nice that Pokemon is giving younger players a chance to compare the remake and one of the originals
And I recommend playing it, because there are aspects that the remake did, that were worse than the originals. Take Friend Areas for example, they are meant to improve the worldbuilding, helping make the place more real and you could visit them in their locations, but in the remake its just a boring menu, its not that different than a regular PC box from a mainline pokémon game.
They did?!
With Scarlet/Violet I had more fun than gen 7&8 combined lol
I liked Gen 8 but also like S/V so I can’t really talk lol
I don’t understand why people hate SWSH. They had to get rid of the National Dex eventually. How the hell would they code 800 monsters, and then give them all their own locations to live? Not only that, but how would they make a way to get legendaries? Reminder: since the National Dex stayed in this timeline, there’s no DLCs. So, how would that work?
Also, thank you for not roasting SWSH. They were my childhood Pokemon games alongside Let’s Go.
SWiSH
I'm in the same boat. Sword and Shield are underrated. Adding 2 DLCs is arguably better than adding the entire national Pokédex and allows for more creative story building rather than all the old Pokémon just being shoved into Galar.
Don't forget, imagine even trying to complete the national dex. It's already a pain to do in gen 5 and people expect big rewards outside of the certificate and shiny charm.
@ElectroBlastLuigi Yeah, you make a good point. I think fans would be more angered than excited with a national dex return and having to obtain over 1000 Pokémon.
@@MistahRowlet I think Dexit was probably for the sake of VGC players because nearly every Pokemon that dominated Gen 7 was not in the main game, which is nice, No Incineroar, Landorus-T, or whatever makes sense because VGC doesn’t do bans with very rare exceptions
People shitting on a game because it wasn’t made the exact way they wanted it (it’s a children’s game)
Scarlet and violet are just bad games
@@maxbibby7777 womp womp, I had so much more fun playing through SV than BW and BW2.

Honestly, I don’t think it matters if the switch games are good. We could sit here all day and say why they are or aren’t but SwSh and ScVi are the 2nd and 3rd highest selling games in the franchise
and that mentality is why pokemon is in the dumps, you just eat it up, y'all pathetic
I personally don’t get the hate for bdsp chibis.
The only thing I can see that’s problematic is you can’t take Cyrus seriously when he looks like that but I was never bothered by the chibis.
Also I don’t get how the hisuian Pokémon are lazy designs. I think they’re some of the coolest especially zoroark, the starters and goodra. You’re loss I guess but I respect your opinion.
I can't wait for Legends ZA. It's taking place in the same region as XY, so I hope they bring back mega evolutions as anticipated.
I personally dont like Pokemon Arceus but Im a big fan of Pokemon Lets go pikachu and pokemon sword
Me too
Also i like dynamx it look like mega evolve
Performance issues made me stop playing Pokemon Scarlet, what were they thinking? I don't mind the garbage graphics, we got that since XY.
Idk what Pokémon is doing anymore
How do you talk about Mystery Dungeon to possible new fans without mentioning that you play as a human in a Pokemon's body?
I think you missed Pokkén Tournament DX.
I think it’s because it came out on the Wii U originally
Refined Pokénn style battles in a mainline entry is what we need. Change my mind.
Mainline Pokémon on the Switch has been a solid 5/10 if I’m being generous. All the games have been half baked and incomplete requiring you to buy the DLC to get the full Pokemon experience.
Crazy for me to think that Sword and Shield are probably the “best” mainline Pokémon games on the Switch. Legends Arceus was a nice change of pace but honestly is way overrated and is only really decent on your first playthrough. Scarlett and violet were underbaked messes of a game technically and I wasn’t a fan of the game going open world since every RPG is open world now and it’s just not needed. Don’t get me started on the “Evil” team…. Absolutely garbage and just a tedious mess to go spam auto battle every time.
I hope legends AZ evolves the Arceus formula because it really needs it. If they can somehow meld the modern formula with what Arceus did it may be a decent game.
When I think of the best pokémon games, none of them are on switch.
Obviously
When I read this comment, my mind went to the DS era
*Pokemon Legends Arceus has entered the chat.
When I think of the best pokémon games, all of them are on switch.
@@3_Benny 🤣🤣🤣👌🏻👌🏻
Despite the major downgrade. I think Pok'emon did okay on the switch.
Still could have been better and left a lot to be desired.
But DLC is definitely the way to go instead of a 3rd version.
I honestly liked Scarlet & Violet, but I didn't see the bugs other people did
It was good! I wish it preformed better but it had good gameplay and decent DLC :D
Here’s my issue with DLC. Sure they add some content to the end of the game. But with the DLC era we don’t get any fine tunes or updates to the main stories and world like third versions being. So the half baked game we get the first time no longer gets proper finish. You just get more half backed added in. I admit it’s a poor cash grab in the first place to sell incomplete games and then sell the same game more complete: but this way we don’t even get that complete game at all anymore
Nope, they may have flaws, but I’ve enjoyed playing all Pokémon games on switch including BDSP.
Spending 100 dollars though now per pokemon game for content that once was considered free without a third game is quite frankly sad. Even before an updated version, post-games were extensive and could keep you busy. But once you complete the elite fours in both gen 8 and 9, there isnt a ton to do that you wouldnt have had otherwise access to.
I preferred C/E/PT/BW2 to their predecessors everytime, the first three just for taking two games and making a better SINGLE defintive retroactive game. Along with BW2 for still being the only true sequels to any game.
Yeah no my least favorite will never be bdsp when red/blue, og diamond/pearl, gold/silver, yellow, ruby/Sapphire, and the Let's go games exist
I sum up gen 8 in this way
SV - decent game, great dlc, horrible performance and balancing
SWSH - below average game, good dlc, great performance and looks amazing
MD remake - fine as is. Exactly what youd expect.
Legends arceus - perfect starting point and a A/S tier game
LGPE - very fun but RBY and FRLG make them feel unnecessary unless youre shiny hunting
I cant disagree :D
No challenge mode
No free post game
Trash dlc for 30 dollars
No in game randomizer
Bad crafik
Trash Remakes brilliant diamant
No creative like in gen 7 whit the omni boost pokemon and the games all have so much bugs
The main problem with Pokémon on the switch is that they did not listen to their fans. No one likes the always-on exp share. Yet we have no ways of turning it off.
If I had to break down my thoughts on the mainline...which I enjoyed all in some ways..
Let's Go: fine, thought I think they would've done well to give non-motion options. I'm actually intrigued to try with my Split Pad pro since it doesn't have the gyro so I have to use the sticks to aim.
SwSh: admittedly probably my favorite? Stuff was taken out, sure, but stuff it has, for me, outweighs the negatives. I loved the exp system, the spectacle of the battles, the number of available Pokemon ince you hit the Wild Area due tk how the raid dens work (great for monotype runs). Room for improvement, but were solid for me.
BDSP: imo, probaboy could've been best served adjusting the map layout somewhat? But kinda like with SwSh, the QoLs it had actually alleviated some gen 4 issues and I did enjoy my playthrough. Biggest issue is lack of accessible EV training early (not necessarily new to the series) since the gyms and E4 had access to EVs and items you can't really touch until postgame. Probably the way I'll play Sinnoh from now on (sorry, but it's true).
Legends: not my cup of tea, as the focus left me kinda bored (especially with tasks feeling grindy). My thing is more for battles, not catching. But I'm really happy for those that loved it.
SV...probably my weakest. It made good steps forward in some battle access with items and such (consumable items not being only one battle is a fabulous QoL that needs to stay), but also took some steps back. I don't care for open world, but I feel like this needed to go further like you said, or dial it back in terms of having no order of challenges.
To be brutally honest the only main series Pokémon games that shouldn't have been released at all is both Scarlet and Violet. Both of those get 0/10 especially when we have had 36 other main series Pokémon games were released in playable condition.
I hope that someday they will remove this perma-exp sharing system again.
It just sucks and makes the games so easy.
I agree, give us the option to turn it off and give us a difficulty selection. :)
@@StrawHatMidas I don't understand why they went this way anyways...
I mean, we had the single-Pokemon Exp. share and then the team Exp. share, but as an Item it was always optional. A total nonsense decision to me^^.
I like it grinding an entire team of 6 pokemon maybe even more if you ever wanna switch out is a pain in the ass. There should be an option for the old system but don't completely remove the new one. It also help people who nuzlocke on real hardware since they can't cheat in rare candies
@@AA-sw5pb Yes, that's the Point. Let the Player choose. Why is it so hard^^? The people who wanna use it can use it, and the people who don't wanna use it can turn it off. But why do they force all Players to use this noob support. And it is nothing else, to be honest. At least for a normal Play through.
Honestly, I don't think let's go was bad. They're entire purpose was to bring Go fans to mainline games and they do that amazingly, they were unique in a familiar way and setting them in kanto did a lot for thr simplicity. Overall they do ehat they're supposed to really good. Legends was by far the best Pokemon game ever made, it was unique, fun to play, actually embodied their fucking slogan (no other mainline Pokemon game let's you catch every Pokemon by buying ONLY the main game). Then caem scarlet and violet, my least favourite Pokemon games to date which is disappointing cuz I really liked the characters, all of the characters were better written than most Pokemon characters, they made by second favourite Pokemon rival of all time(I prefer N over Nimona and I don't think penny counts) But the Performance was downright horrible. The gameplay was a step back from legends and thr character customisation was probably the worst I've seen in any game that has character customisation, The dlcs were not worth the mone,. Geeta was underwhelming, they were just bad overall. Sword and shield were fine. Nothing special, nothing horrible.
Edit:I take back my statement sbi scarlet and violet being my least favourite since i completely forgot bdsp existed.
Ok hate on me but I like bdsp. Honestly 2nd for me out of the switch games and I didn’t grow up on diamond and pearl
Legends arceus is peak idc
You forgot pokken tournament DX and Pokémon detective pikachu returns
Something the lets go games dont get enough credit for is cohesive art direction and execution. Of the rpgs they look the best and i love the look of all the pokemon in the overworld, random battles just add needless tedium. Even without Go mechanics though I think the scope too narrow and your candy pilled pikachu makes any challenge moot.
I like how the defence of sword/ shield is I liked the pokemon, the gimmick wasnt the worst, and spending 90 dollars for the game and its dlc is better than buying a game twice. Which were previously 40ish dollar releases.
I know its not mobile games any more, games are bigger than ever, but the constant "at least the gameplay is fun" defense just withered up inside me this console generation
Anything after gen 3 (hoenn) is trash. The remakes of gens 1-3 aren’t shitty, but I consider generation 4 & up Fakemon.
I really wish they release all this game for mobile Android device
The aspect that makes Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games so great is the story, its an emotional ride to say the least. But the gameplay is very solid, once you know to manage the recruitable pokémon to your party, with better moves, gummies and such.
No. Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet are 2 of the greatest mainline Pokemon games. The ever green sales illustrate this as well. The complaints on De-exit and bugs where all overstated, the games were awesome.
I think sword and shield are WILDLY overhated and over criticized. They are great games and pushed the envelope for pokemon! S&V had more issues to me but I love what they were going for and hope they keep going that direction for the future games! :)
You're actually just blatantly lying. 😂
@@manueljaramillo2520 nah. Ignore de-exit and bugs (which didn’t affect everybody) Scarlet and violet had great gameplay, the best Pokémon story and characters and a fun open world to explore.
It's funny to hear you say SWSH was doomed to fail at the start. And they outsold Gold & Silver making them 2nd best selling games in the series XD
Funny thing is SV is dangerously close to outselling them. Which I think would be great. Idrc about the performance. Minus that story, character and gameplay wise SV are the best games in the series imo
Legends is by far the best on the switch and deserved so much more content also is probably one of the best pokemon games ever
They gave the mainline ones DLC, I wish they would have for this title
Hard disagree about Mystery Dungeon. It's one of the best spinoff series of pokemon and is arguably better than a lot of the mainline games even
I think the let's go games are great, but that's mostly because I love eevee so having my favorite pokemon have the lead roll in a game will blmake me pretty biased
Yes, it is (sadly)
It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just there’s a clear and obvious failure to innovate and evolve like every other mainline Nintendo franchise. There’s nothing about the Switch Pokemon games that doesn’t feel like it couldn’t have been done on 3DS, albeit with prettier visuals.
3:43 want 3rd game or remake more
Wish they would go back the 3rd game rather than DLC. It was cheaper in the long run for the consumer and the 3rd definitive editions of Pokemon games were usually the bests of the generations.
@@MIBxSpartan It meant you either had to wait and miss early distributions or buy 2 games just so one can collect dust as the "inferior" version. DLC is fine, they just need to work on it.
For me SWSH & BDSP was the worst pokemon mainline game i’ve ever played. Lets go games was meh. Legends arceus & SV was pretty enjoyable for me.
2:10 All these years later and people still say Sword and Shield was set up to fail because of the national dex being cut.
Gen 3 did the same thing while making many Pokemon limited and/or paywalled. Yet, both gens 3 and 8 succeeded.
I'm not saying either gens are the best, that's another topic, subjective at that, but Pokemon wasn't doomed just like it wasn't doomed/ruined when gen 6 rolled around. Can we just move on from the national dex? Pokemon is still going strong whether we like it or not.
I really dont understand the hate for the gen 4 remakes. They are faithful remakes like gamefreak said they would be. Fire Red and Leaf Green were fairhful and i dont see anyone saying those games suck. All ORAS added was megas really, not that big a deal. Heartgold and SoulSilver werent that different from the originals either.
who would've thought making a faithful remake of bad, unbalanced and broken games while changing absolutely nothing would be hated? only reason people see diamond and pearl as good games is because they're old, aside from that they are very mediocre games.
@@gamesnig Gen 4 is one of the best gens. You can be wrong if you want. There's a reason it is one of the most loved generations of Pokemon despite its flaws. And the remakes fixed all of the issues the original had. You had more fire types (grand underground had a bunch more to choose from), the battle animations weren't slow, the game ran really well, better than Scarlet and Violet, they are really pretty games. They did change a lot. The original didn't have the underground the way it is in bdsp. The original didn't have Ray tracing and beautiful graphics. The original didn't have the exp share or fairy types. The original didn't have fast battle animations. The original wasn't 3D. Like I said, people still love ORAS and all they added to that was mega evolution and primal forms. Big whoop. It was for the most part a faithful remake. Fans are just upset for no reason that a game that was marketed as a faithful remake came out and was exactly what it claimed to be. They wanted them to add megas or dynamax or this or that that wouldn't make it faithful to the original. They wanted them to add the platinum features into the diamond and pearl games, which also wouldn't be a faithful remake.
The only mainline games that were worth my time and money so far were, (Pok'emon Sword/Shield) (Legend Arceus)
I love sw&sh, dp, and legends arceus
pokemon quest wasnt the first pkmn game on the switch, it was pokken tournament dx
The first “new” one, I didn’t include it because I only played it once so I couldn’t give a detailed report and because it was a port. I should have clarified :/
I personally believe there is a lot of room for improvement for Pokémon games on the switch
I want more 2d/top down games
Poké Switch has it's issues, yeah, but I have my fun with these silly little buttheads from time to time. I just like picking out my favorite dudes.
Pokémon on the switch is…. I’ll say it’s alright. It’s not awful in any way it’s just a little rocky
Yes, yes it is. Some are overhated like Sw and Sh, but that doesnt make it great. Scarlet and Violet are easily my pick for worst Pokemon games
No, not at all, kinda.
Legends was an absolute masterpiece, for a switch game that is, obviously could’ve been better but it overall was amazing.
The let’s go games were also perfection, and some of the best looking games on switch.
Sword and Shield weren’t great, but they weren’t bad. They are at least playable and somewhat fun at times🤷♂️.
Scarlet and violet is when it got REALLY bad, those games were atrocious, and hardly any of the new pokemon were actually good, maybe like 3 or smthn. The starers all sucked ass, and pretty much everything else did.
Gen 4 remakes looked good but that’s where it ended, for the most part they weren’t good remakes, but they weren’t awful.
Unite, idc about, it ain’t main series.
Snap, was pretty cool, the original was good, this one ain’t bad, but again don’t rlly care anyway.
In conclusion, the switch ones aren’t terrible, but other than 2 of them they aren’t insanely bad. Legends Z looks insanely promising tho, can’t wait.
This is probably the most calm take on this comment section
Thank you
It's not bad. It's WORST. Except Arceus, it's... well it's just good, i mean, if you havent played others JRPG, it is.
Yes, the only decent Pokémon game was arceus. Every other one was either a disappointment or either a glitchy mess.
My take is that they’re decent games all around, but not all of them are worth buying. Worth playing? Sure. Worth buying? Debatable
We're already 2 generations in and the switch hasn't impressed. Maybe they need to go back to 2d.
Scrapping both the fun features and anime aesthetics is Pokémon's downfall.
The Pokemon games aren't that bad on the switch. If only game freak placed more effort into them.
GaneFreak has never and will never be known for their graphics when it comes to Pokémon. Something everyone must accept.
True but no one will.
Honestly they should either go back to 2D, have a half 2D half 3D game or get a new studio to make a crazy 3D game.
No low quality textures and glitching shadows.
How about not settling for less? Have you considered that?
If they had Pokémon ranger on the switch the world would be right
I am playing PR: Shadows Almia rn, I’m going to make a video about it soon :D
bro u realise that pokemon sword and shield r the views generators on youtube for its diverse and fun gameplay
I still haven’t played sword or shield but I made the mistake of buying bdsp 🤣
Let’s go was a massive success, you have to look at the bigger picture to see that
Dude forgot to mention Pokken Tournament DX. It released on the Nintendo Switch back on September 22, 2017 and is an enhanced port from the Arcade and the Wii U version. It is a fighting game similar to the Tekken series but with Pokémon.
Even though I’m not into fighting games all that much as a lot of people but this game looks like fun to me. IIRC, there are 2 different Pokémon that are DLC playable fighters and they are Aegislash and Blastoise.
Honestly, Pokémon should've stopped after ORAS. Mega Evolution helped out a lot of underwhelming Pokémon. Since SM, games relied too heavily on gimmicks. Gen 7 had Z-moves, Gen 8 had Dynamax, and Gen 9 had Tera.
Also, Gen 7 and 9 have very underwhelming Pokémon (Turtonator and Iron Thorns are prime examples). Gen 8 had some good ones, though (Dragapult, for example). I stopped playing newer games since ORAS.
People shitting on a game because it wasn’t made the exact way they wanted it (it’s a children’s game)
Thought the video would talk about switch battle style.
Bro where is Pokken Tournament DX???
This console gave us 2 of the best Pokemon games of all time: New Snap and Legends Arceus... but all the remakes and mainline games are the worst of all time lol
I just hope that gen 10 is not on Switch, this console is very old now for what we are asking them to do with the games
Plz do a video on the wii console pokemon games BR is legendary
I am planning a video that covers all of the home console pokemon games :D
Which is why I still prefer to play the DS
Yes its bad, the Switch era for PK games is the worst.
1. DS
2. GBA
3. 3ds
4. GB/GBC
5. Switch
You can switch 2 and 3, its opinion based; but either order is the correct order. Switch era is the WORST.
PEOPLE THINK POKEMON GAMES ON SWITCH ARE BAD?????
I mean, I get hating BDSP, and the mobile cash grab games, but the rest was REALLY fuckin good.
I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, aren't I-
Your boulder must be really nice. I'd like to hide under one like it as well.
Yes. They are. End of the discussion.
It is.
yall hate on bdsp too much
I want gen 5 remakes after legends ZA
Let’s go is a soulless cash grab. If it was a remake and expanded on fire red and leef green or was a completely different kanto it would appeal to new and old at the same time.
The ideal version of kanto is stil FRLG
FRLG is the best way to experience Gen 1, everything great about kanto with the addition of the Sevi Islands
Yes, it is. Next question please .
Yes it is. Gen 6 and oras are the last good mainline games. The mainline games got worse after black white2!
Gen 7 , legends and heck scarlet and violet are good yes even sv because it genuinely does build the series up well.
I'm not sure I'd say nothing after Gen 6 was good, but there was a noticeable shift in the "Pokémon~y" feel to the games post Gen 6 that they just haven't been able to fully reclaim thus far.
@@aquilaxtremeGT The only real good 3d games are Legends Arceus and S/V, and to a lesser extent, Sw/Sh and ORAS. That’s a trend I’ve noticed: Every post-Gen 6 game has received at least respectable praise, but this only applies to a few 3d games. Idk why.
