Love fishing the bread. So simple and so effective. I keep my left over stale scraps in the freezer and after giving them a good soaking and a draining I bind it with butcher’s sausage rusk. Makes a lovely milky cloud without clumping up.
Something very simplistic but rewarding about bread fishing Martin. I remember my dad telling me about a chub ground bait involving sausage meat and Farley’s rusks. Personally I’ve done very little cheese paste fishing which I’d like to have a proper go at.
Thanks Michael. This was a quick vid shot completely on a phone without mics, so some times the dialogue is muffled, but I often find simplest is most popular. Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully more coming soon.👍
Another great video, thank you for taking the time to create them. I can see that the rod is a cadence and I guess it is the twin tip but what tc is it
Thank you Alan. Just a short video but a bit of fun. The Rod is a Cadence CR10 Specimen 12’ 1.50 TC If you’re ever in the market for any cadence or Edge gear, drop me a message and I can provide a 10% discount code for online sales.
Cracking video Dave…could you do a video on bread on the float😁 also regarding your video on the Drennan landing net pole do you know if you can get spares of the plastic piece you put nail varnish on as mine has gone missing..I know you said you contacted Drennan just wondering if you got a reply on the issue…many thanks Dave really love your videos…I also wanted to say congratulations and a massive pat on your back you do such a wonderful job in organizing All your matches and what a superb effort you do for All those lucky Anglers👏
Thank you. I’m lucky enough to fiend a lot of time on the river but it’s nice to share some of the more relaxed moments with you. I replaced my Drennan handle after drinking the van over the last one but it’s a good bit of kit. Drennan generally try to push complaints and questions through the shops so it’s not always successful. I didn’t follow up on it. 👍
Watburtons blue would always be first choice for hook but not great for mashing so the hovis is a good in between one. Too tight to be taking 2 loaves with me!😂

Probably going to revisit the swim soon for some float fishing. 👍
At last a video with no stupid music or someone talking rubbish for a hour, just listening to the wind and the water, your almost there beside you 🎣
