Hey all! Mike here, just wanted to drop in and thank you all for your comments! Rob and I look forward to growing Cerberus and Guitarmory with you all, cheers!
@@DevilMayAsian Hey boss! While I would love to get manufacturing up and running in my home state, right now that's not part of the plan. Given I'm still in the Navy, Rob and I agree keeping things as streamlined as possible for the time being.
@@MichaelCampbellCerberus gotcha. All building aspects, guitars and pickups, are not currently happening in nashville? I would love to check out your stuff, if given the opportunity!
@@DevilMayAsian Currently our pickups are made a couple hours south of me in Northern California (where I am stationed at the moment) by an extremely high end shop, and our USA Cerberus models are made in Texas by one of the best luthiers I've met.
Just bought one.. 7 string, amazing. Blew all the other 7 strings out of the water, Ibanez, shecter, sterling, Jackson… this was the best sounding and nicest looking
I’m here! I don’t know anything about 7 string but I know guitars. I’m in an old codger band called “Me, Myself & I. We play often in the club called “Bedroom” until it closes every night. The average age of the member… uh…members, 71.
@@RobChappers , your not talking to my father. So keep it simple. Mike. And I’ll take it! Don’t know what I would do with it!!! Maybe myself can use a couple of strings 🫣
That guitar is possibly the coolest looking guitar I have seen honestly. Very professional appeal to the color scheme the way the edges are so sharp and beautiful wood grain showing! And the top fade is an amazing flat look. Gr8 job and congrats on the new venture!!!!
Owning one myself, I think the BIGGEST thing to improve upon is that dang neck heel. Please do something more molded/rounded! Overall contouring on the back would be nice to make it less blocky feeling, sounds amazing but that’s my two cents!
I'm a local in Tennessee just 30 minutes south of Nashville in a active band where can I send my EPK. The band im in is called Circus On Broadway we are a 6 string/baritone and 7 string brand we are actively recording a record and preparing for touring come October. Just wanna throw my name in the hat for the opportunity. We also charted with our single Undivided landing and holding #15 on Apple music for 8 days
The intent behind this initially was to allow consumers the mass to have a floyd added down the line if they wanted, but who knows, maybe a more slimmer model is on the horizon :)
I am super picky about headstocks but I love that one. Reminds me of the Parker Fly but cooler. The price on that 7 string seems reasonable and it sounds killer. Boss Katana in the house!
Oh dear God, I'm 53 years old, just learning to play guitars, in full Gear Aquisition Mode and now I have to add all your guitars to the list!!!! Stunning! Beautiful!
Well, some years ago I recorded a full length and an EP me alone. The project's called "Solitude Embroidery", is me doing one man band (everything, from shitty artwork to recording, every instrument, every lyric, mix, everything). I lost my office job some months ago and I have nothing to lose, now. I know this message won't do anything, but I need to do something to not blame myself 100% and try to live doing something I love. Who knows. Love as always, by Sir Chappers!
Just put my first order in after chatting with Michael. fantastic customer service and responsiveness. The fact that I'm not feeling like I have to sacrifice my options due to being left handed has for the first time, not left me with a sense of buyers remorse hahaha. Excited to see this company inevitably grown in popularity.
I went guitar shopping with my son today. We were looking for either a baritone or 7 string. We played a lot of guitars in several shops and the Cerberus not only sounded immensely better than all comers, it felt sick. I’m not a seven string guitarist but found it instantly fun. I may have to n+1 for myself also. Sick guitar guys.
Good Lord those are some beautiful guitars. They look extremely comfortable to play and holy smokes the tone and sound of the pickups. I'm definitely going to look into this brand.....very impressive indeed.
Hey Rob, I'm a guitar teacher, guitar tech and I suppose Luthier from Devon.. I'm in the process of building a prog metal/classic rock/viking metal set up. After being in a few "successful" gigging function bands we decided we wanted to do something different. We've just started writing our own original content and it's taking shape. I've been playing guitar for 24 years and my/our influences are dreamtheater, meshuggah, dorje, brothers of metal among others. I'd be honoured to own and support Cerberus if you'd have me.
6 string - Looks like a flat topped Ibanez with an Ormsby style headstock. Not bad! 7 string looks a bit neater with the finish, etc. Nothing too out of the box or new but they look like very solid guitars and I'd bet they sound MASSIVE. Can't wait to see more!
Wow this is pretty cool.... congratulations on joining that brand or I guess brands as part owner....very best in the journey for you and your co-owner friend
I would redesign the headstock to make it look less like a Blackmachine. I like the inverted headstock though. Apart from that they look really nice, from the body to the finish.
That is quite the bad ass looking guitar. The headstock grew on me. I was iffy at first. Really rad of you to help the dude out and he is clearly talented in guitar making. Hope to get my paws on one soon to give it a run.
I’ve had my Moros 7 for a year and a half now, it’s an amazing guitar and the guitarmory pickups sound awesome. The Aegean fade looks really nice on it.
I’m definitely interested in any future V’s. I’m a V guy (specifically offset V’s) through and through and I was excited for the Chapman MLV when it was being released. It was cool, but not quite for me so I ultimately passed. With this being an obviously more straight forward metal brand, I’m curious where the winds take you. I’ll be keeping my eye open.
Two points that I find BAD : the volume pot should be near the bridge p-u , and the shape of the head is uggly and it could break easy being that narrow
Claiming to be an English company or American brand but making guitars overseas? Also I would suggest that the logo is not only ugly but could be a negative, but the good thing is its not on the headstock. The headstock does not look bad though.
They aren't my particular type of guitars, but I can recognize something of high quality. You can tell how beautiful the build, fit and finish is just looking at it here on RUclips. Those are both beautiful guitars. Best of luck on the venture to both of you!
Hi Rob, how are you planning on distinguishing between Cerberus and chapman? They seem to occupy a very similar niche in the market with a similar style. Very interested to see where this goes!!
Chapman is more of a twist on a classic, whereas Cerberus is very firmly 2 feet in the metal and progressive territory. We have headless models, lots of extended range - that kind of thing.
Woow Congratulations, Mr Chapman. I love your products (I offered my wife a gorgeous Dave Hollingworth signature bass), and this is already awesome, even if just beginning. That 7 string beast is gorgeous. I love it :-)
Actually not having a logo would be a big plus. A better marketing is to come up with a recognizable shape that doesnt need a logo on it (fender, gibson, prs, ibanez... the logo is redundant [although necessary for other reasons]). It's like a piece of haute couture... it doesnt need logos stamped on it to be recognizable. good luck!
I would love to be an artist for cerberus guitars , actually just picked up my first chapman ml1 last Nighy absolutely love the playability of the guitar! I had played an ibanez that had a sticker of 1600 just hours before getting the chapman and i am sold will be a loyal customer here on out ! 🤘🏻

That Cerberus logo looks so dope! I kinda wished it was on the front of the headstock tho! It's gonna be interesting to see where this brand goes.
That is a great design. Congrats on the new venture.
That guitar looks great , nicely finished and awesomely playable.
Having your experience in the industry should be a big help. Design is nice but I'd cut the length of the lower horn in half to be different.
