We have driven by the exit to Carthage many times through the years and I have always wanted to go see what was there. Thank you so much for this great trip! So sorry for your losses but as you know your children are happily waiting on you in Heaven. God is so faithful!! Really enjoying all of your videos. Lynnette Chapman
Sorry about your Losses. Really cool that your son was on your pamphlet. Stop making me tear up. Love the video. No a bus crash is not funny our kids did that . We have seen this place on a different video and hope to go here now that y'all did such a great video.
That story about John's parents reminds me of my grandmother and grandfather. My grandfather was actually a catholic Jesuit priest in St. Louis and my grandmother was an English teacher who visited the church regularly. They fell in love and my grandfather left the priesthood to marry my grandmother and had my dad!
I love this! I live in Carthage. Lowell Davis lived in that house in Red Oak 😁 he died recently...but has artwork all over town. He made all the artwork at Red Oak! I used to work at Precious Moments too!
I got emotional too and I’ve not even lost a child. I just know that losing one would be so painful because I love mine so much. God is always there through the good and bad times. Without Him we are lost, I’m thankful you are my brother and sister in Christ. If we never meet here, we will meet one day in Heaven. Thank you for sharing your life with RUclips world.
I love Route 66. I got to stay in the Boots Court Motel after attending a TobyMac concert at the 66 Drive-in. I really need to visit Red Oak II. Thanks for sharing!
Wow ! I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. My wife had one and darn near bled to death. You guys have a wonderful family. I Love Amy's outfit especially the hat.
You missed all the historic district, many Victorian mansions, Civil War museums. the stupendous courthouse and so much more. How about the extensive WPA projects built of local rock as well as the great Hispanic restaurants and grocery stores. Many great people from Honduras live, work and raise their families in Carthage.
So sorry about your losses Amy, I went thru 2 miscarriages as well, and it was very difficult. But God gave me a beautiful baby girl on my third time. She is such a blessing. Now Aspen is 13 and we are still so close. Shes my best friend. I love being apart of your family, you guys are great! When I cant be in Branson Physically, I can watch your videos and feel like I'm there. Thank you for that. One day I will live there. God Bless. Safe Travels!!!!!
Wow! I'm from Carthage and you all did a great job talking about the town! Did you happen to stop into the Deli on the square? There is also the Maple Leaf Festival (not this year) where they have one of the largest parades in the area, band competition, classic car show, and more. I need to take my family to Precious Moments and we will try Taste of Italy while there. Awesome video and thanks for sharing the town. :)
I to lose 4 babies due to miscarriage and twins due to prematurity ( they have a precious moments headstone) hugs. Made me cry with you for the same reasons. I now have two girls after 10 years of trying.
Sam Butcher created Precious Moments. To bad you didn’t have a tour guide through the Chapel. There is so many stories, starting with the gate. Then the big front door, and the big picture of heaven, with Jesus in exact center. And when a live dies, Sam would add to the ceiling or heaven picture. Out the back door is a river/stream that has a little house on a tiny island. This is dedicated to his grandchildren. There is a house on the same road that is for weddings. I believe the a little pond and a bridge for weddings. Red Oak I l was build by a very well known artist, Lowell Davis. He has had paintings and figures in all the big departments stores. His was so cute, like a mother hen protecting her babies in the rain. We lost Lowe recently. What a loss. He did all his work in a building just behind his home. The place with the lady on the porch. His work shop burned down. I think he didn’t do much after the fire.Lowe was one of a kind man. Funny to watch him in Red Oak II sitting on the poach or walking through his little village, with a group . There is still a few little things that is nice to see. If you go off the south side of the square, going south you would see large Victorian Homes, seems like the three streets running south from square. There where mining in Webb city, and the ones with wealth didn’t want to live close to the mining, so they build in Carthage. The court house was built with “Carthage Marble “ . I was born and raised in Carthage, many relatives still there. I’m 76, and I still get homesick for “home”. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Thank you for your visit to Carthage, Missouri, even if your husband thought there was “weird “ things.😃 God bless . Sorry about my info. It is three in the morning, that’s my excuse.😁
I live about a mile from Red Oak II. I can hear that peacock screaming at night, when I sit on my porch.
I live in Carthage.. nice to see a video outlining some of the things we have here..
I grew up in Carthage. There's nothing to do in Carthage. I love Carthage.
