Arctic Monkeys are probably one of the most versatile groups out right now. Given everything you've said, I strongly STRONGLY suggest you go through their discography. Every album is extremely different, all have great lyrics and melodies. From slow love songs to insanely fast hard songs, just anything you can think of. I think you might be a huge fan and don't realize it yet!
Theyve gone through a huge musical development throughout their career. Their early stuff was very punk inspired, which fit their age and the general feeling of "youth" in the UK at that time, then they grew into a more mature rock sound with heavier guitars but slowed down a little from the fast pace of their previous stuff, and now theyve started mixing in slower, more jazz inspired elements (a lot of piano). I think it's all really cool. And to me, Alex Turner the lead singer, is such an underrated guitar player cuz he's technically the lead guitarist of the band and he plays and writes some dope guitar parts.
Thank you for this! It’s a completely different vibe to the first performance you reacted to isn’t it?! The lead singer is called Alex Turner and it’s amazing to see how much he alone has developed and changed over the years, let alone the rest of them. Always nice to have company during lunch, even if it’s breakfast time for you 😅
