  • A lot of you have asked me to react to yet another new Arctic Monkeys song. This one is called "Body Paint". I've spoken at length about these guys already so let's react to this together. Tell me though, out of the this song and the last one, "There'd Better Be A Mirrorball" - which do you prefer? Do you even like this era of AM?

The energy of whatever people say, the groove of favourite worst nightmare, the depth of humbug, the lightheartedness of suck it, the attitude of AM, the eccentricity of Tranquility base. It is really fascinating how they come up with a concept for an album and how they take it so seriously from the lyrics to the aesthetics. I am open for whatever arctic monkeys brings to the table.

I was really sceptical about this band for so many years. I actually took more notice of them around Humbug but then was turned off by them over the next two albums. I actually genuinely enjoyed what I heard of Tranquillity Base but was then fully converted with the first single off this new album. When I knew Body Paint was about to be dropped I subsequently learnt how to play it and then uploaded right here on RUclips so I guess you could say the circle is now complete. I am finally converted 👌🏼
