I was a "competetive fps player" in 2003-2010 while "online tournaments were always a joke" there was this german team that dominated us for years while in the locals they were a complete joke and their "best" players could never make it even when the organizers were willing to pay for the trip. At some point even our team started to accept cheaters with the excuse of keeping up instead of taking a stand against cheating. And i was out. Cheating isnt a skill issue, its an moral issue. And companies should hit hard against cheat makers/providers cause its an multi million industry. Nothing wrong robbing criminals with lawsuits.
Something important to point out about his lack of neutral input, even on leverless unless your inputs are absolutely perfect 100% of the time, you will still carry inputs like down, down back, from forward, and as long as you have the right SOCD you will still hit neutral for that sequence unless you’re inhuman.
A few days ago, a streamer here in Brazil reacted to a user reported via chat. "Dont Judge Me" is his nickname, I don't know if he changed his nickname. The fact is that he was using something that allowed him to use the Dinamic (D) controller in ranked matches. There are WAY MORE PEOPLE USING THIS THAN YOU THINK. DI on air attacks. Insane perfect parries. Always EX DP when a grab is coming. Never misses a hit confirm. They play like a robot. Then you check their profile and nothing matches up. You only see it on cross-play which means we are only seeing it from the PC guys. It's disgusting.
Lies, I'm a customer of the cheat. There are only 6 ppl including me who bought it. The cost is $400 as the owner doesn't want this tool to be accessible to everyone. Most people can't afford it. So you can't blame your losses on anyone but urself.

I know when I'm playing a human and when I'm playing a freaking bot. Perfect parries every time, hit confirms every time, and DI's on air attacks are either scrubs or bots. Scrubs drop combos, bots don't. Like I said, there are more people using this cheat AND OTHERS LIKE IT, in SF6.

Again, I am reminded of what Karl Jobst said about cheating. It's not about being good at the game, it's about being better than what you actually are. It's why so many people who are GOOD at sports cheat. Because they want ALL THE ADVANTAGES over ALL of their opponents and potential opponents. In environments where there is ANY competition, there are always bound to be cheaters. These people can not handle defeat for any reason. They want to win all of the time, and if they can't win all of the time legitimately, they WILL cheat.
People are saying it's about 5K of the population and are Diamond plus. The thing is it's almost all from PC players and it's ruining the game. I know it's not much of the player base but cheating has gone up significantly every month, people are saying since it's ez to get away with.

Do blame cheaters for cheating not just in tourneys, it's absolutely bad behavior and makes the game bad for everyone. It's then critical that the admins of wherever you play on are able to consistantly detect, track and punish cheating appropriately, including with permanent bans. Temp bans can be appropriate for suspicion of cheating that you're not 100% sure of, but what you need to do is make cheaters overall clearly lose for cheating and they'll lose by losing their account and trust and being forbidden from competition. If not you will eventually find a situation where cheating becomes common and the game isn't even really worth playing. When admins do a good job cheating can be nearly 100% removed from a game.
Karl Jobst makes a lot of content about accomplished speedrunners getting caught cheating. What is scary when you take his data and findings into account is that it is hardly ever someone who is really bad at the game that decides to cheat. It is almost always someone middle of the road to very good but just not at the very top that decided they deserve to be at the top. And those folks are the most dangerous because they know enough about their game to hide a lot of ways most people would get caught. If the cheats could be modified to buffer in neutrals, only auto block a specific % of the time, counter DI a specific % of the time or do a 13 frame unsafe punish a specific % of the time ect. I think it would be quite hard to figure out who is cheating. I believe Punk would never cheat. And I absolutely do not believe he does. But if we take someone similar to his level who is capable of winning and likely would be deserving of it if they did win. And what if they used something like this to give them just an extra edge in securing what they believe to be an inevitable victory. It's not out of the realm of possibility with so much money on the line.
It's totally confirmed that this already exists; it's just about how people are setting it. The post about the cheat software has been shown on other videos covering this issue and Lightspeed's replays. The cheat maker sells it for $400, and it has a % setting for things like auto DI, etc. Not sure if it can also be toggled on and off on the fly, but it's fully possible to have it only kick in part of the time to make it harder to detect.

We can't go around knee-jerk accusing skilled players of cheating unless it really seems off-in which case enough studying needs to be done to avoid punishing people for really just being great at the game. It's not an easy thing to do for something that doesn't directly affect the game code itself, but rather reads the screen and reacts with controller inputs.

Totally false. OF course these people exist, but it's just easy to focus on the bit of negative stuff and ignore all the good. Battle Hub has a lot of cool, social and supportive people down to have conversations, play sets, and take part in the dope social experience SF6 offers. Of course there are toxic whiners, some people are cheating on occasion, some people rage quit, etc. But it's far from everyone; it's up to us not to focus 10x more on the bad stuff and miss out on how awesome this game and community can be.
Brother people complain fighting games inputs are hard. They can't be bothered to learn how to do half and quarter circles plus a buttons much we get modern controls and such now. You think those same people have the dedication or attention span to learn proper combos, neutral, oki and just fundamentals in general? Nahhhhh. I am surprised that this Lighspeed player has not been banned permanently yet. Official tournaments will propably need some judges who can have a look at replays if something suspicious is happening. For top 8 it should be doable, but I don't see this happening for every match. Capcom should keep an eye on known cheaters (to get info) and find ways to detect cheaters by identifying abnormal input patterns in replays. That would not be a foolproof sollution, as the scripts can supposedly be changed to use certain hacks on a percentage base, effectively making the cheating part much less obvious. If Capcom continue to only reset MR to 1500 then they send the wrong message.
Not only does he get DI on the dive kick but always hits it grounded. I've tried DI against a Cammy jump reading dive kick but often I get the airborne spinout if I'm correct.
imagine thinking you can get out with cheating on any game that players are obsessed with frame study, like tekken, or street fighter. You need an extremely good program to get away with it, beacause one single replay and you're caught, for example all the hacks that simply skip the neutral between opposite directions.
there was already a case in one of the ICFCs for tekken where somebody was using one of these cheats. definitely possibly for people to at least attempt to do the same for sf6.

It’s no surprise history repeats itself. Same thing happened with SFV in its vanilla stages of release. Players like BEST_KOREA got completely removed from the leaderboards and cheaters like RisingDragonGod got permanently banned. It may take awhile before Capcom enforces a more serious and brutal punishment for cheaters. It took awhile for those cheaters to be caught on SFV, same may happen here with SF6.
You have no idea how obsessed people are with rank and winning, they do it for validation instead of overall improvement. You need to take a lot of L's from good players to stop caring about these things.

Man I´m so glad that people could figure out that this guy was cheating. I´ve been playing Warzone profesionally for the past couple of years and the cheating situation is horrible, there are a lot of people who are cheating and with deep knowledge of the game you can sort of tell who is cheating but there is not a definitive way to know. Things like Frame Data in Fighting Games have the upperhand in competitive gaming.
Eh, its not definitive proof. Its not like an FPS where its fairly obvious. You really have to break down every action here and even then its not as conclusive. Clean inputs can be fixed too so they look more natural, having an auto hotkey setup to introduce random ms delay and transitional inputs. Wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't already a thing. Its pretty wild how much they push online tournies without a proper anti-cheat. Probably would take what Valorant did to catch stuff like this - kernel level on boot service to monitor what's going on but it seems necessary, otherwise everyone's going to be questioning and accusing for everything.

I cant get past 1600 mr, without a person playing sus. They react to my light booms, d.i., despit how much I change my play style. What's crazy is that they have cheaters in avatar battles, and battle hub cabinets too. I will ne understand people who need to cheat to win. How is that satisfying?

That guy is absolutely cheating. But do note that it actually is possible to skip neutral on leverless if your SOCD mode is set to Last Input rather than the default setting of Neutral.

I run into players like this all day long in ranking mode ad Masters! Even worse players! I have stopped doing DI as it is 98% countered online on PC. Some players get 100% Perfect parry in 4 rounds. Its a massive problem!

So yeah, high refresh rates, low latency, etc did help of course in PC-to-PC games, but that's just how it works as tech scales up, if you're willing to pay for it. I do for the wonderful experience, and I mostly play single player games. I have a very expensive rig, yet I play SF6 on a PS5 Dualsense Edge controller. I have no FPS advantage or anything like that since the game is capped at 60 mid-match, regardless of platform.

cheat code exists for the console as well, it is more difficult to de-operationalize it if it exists.

The cheat maker sells it for $400, and it has a % setting for things like auto DI, etc. Not sure if it can also be toggled on and off on the fly, but it's fully possible to have it only kick in part of the time to make it harder to detect.

@@damonblack1495 It's always gonna be a question of "if" until there's sufficient evidence. We can't go around knee-jerk accusing skilled players of cheating unless it really seems off-in which case enough studying needs to be done to avoid punishing people for really just being great at the game.
It's not an easy thing to do for something that doesn't directly affect the game code itself, but rather reads the screen and reacts with controller inputs.
the sad part is that the more we expose their tricks (like skipping neutral), they hackers are just gonna fix it so it'll be harder to recognize that they are cheating =/

They need to permaban these people, because unless Capcom is watching specific cheaters, they’re just gonna rank back up with the cheats until someone else catches them, which could take ages.
Leniency like this is gonna destroy the competitive future of fighting games. Imagine a genuinely good player with less obvious levels of cheats; they could end up winning tournaments and nobody would know.

Totally false. OF course these people exist, but it's just easy to focus on the bit of negative stuff and ignore all the good. Battle Hub has a lot of cool, social and supportive people down to have conversations, play sets, and take part in the dope social experience SF6 offers. Of course there are toxic whiners, some people are cheating on occasion, some people rage quit, etc. But it's far from everyone; it's up to us not to focus 10x more on the bad stuff and miss out on how awesome this game and community can be.

Brother people complain fighting games inputs are hard. They can't be bothered to learn how to do half and quarter circles plus a buttons much we get modern controls and such now. You think those same people have the dedication or attention span to learn proper combos, neutral, oki and just fundamentals in general? Nahhhhh.
I swear simplyfing fgs just gets more sales not more players. If not having to do a half circle is a selling point to you, you just aren't gonna stick with the game for long anyway. But thats how the industry is today. Gamers want long games to play once and feel like they got their money's worth rather than deep games to explore, replay and master for countless hours and routinely return to. So much focus on instant gratification rather than a more deep and rich delayed one.

I am surprised that this Lighspeed player has not been banned permanently yet. Official tournaments will propably need some judges who can have a look at replays if something suspicious is happening. For top 8 it should be doable, but I don't see this happening for every match. Capcom should keep an eye on known cheaters (to get info) and find ways to detect cheaters by identifying abnormal input patterns in replays. That would not be a foolproof sollution, as the scripts can supposedly be changed to use certain hacks on a percentage base, effectively making the cheating part much less obvious. If Capcom continue to only reset MR to 1500 then they send the wrong message.

I've tried DI against a Cammy jump reading dive kick but often I get the airborne spinout if I'm correct.

imagine thinking you can get out with cheating on any game that players are obsessed with frame study, like tekken, or street fighter.
You need an extremely good program to get away with it, beacause one single replay and you're caught, for example all the hacks that simply skip the neutral between opposite directions.
there was already a case in one of the ICFCs for tekken where somebody was using one of these cheats. definitely possibly for people to at least attempt to do the same for sf6.

It’s no surprise history repeats itself. Same thing happened with SFV in its vanilla stages of release. Players like BEST_KOREA got completely removed from the leaderboards and cheaters like RisingDragonGod got permanently banned. It may take awhile before Capcom enforces a more serious and brutal punishment for cheaters. It took awhile for those cheaters to be caught on SFV, same may happen here with SF6.

Man I´m so glad that people could figure out that this guy was cheating. I´ve been playing Warzone profesionally for the past couple of years and the cheating situation is horrible, there are a lot of people who are cheating and with deep knowledge of the game you can sort of tell who is cheating but there is not a definitive way to know. Things like Frame Data in Fighting Games have the upperhand in competitive gaming.

Eh, its not definitive proof. Its not like an FPS where its fairly obvious. You really have to break down every action here and even then its not as conclusive. Clean inputs can be fixed too so they look more natural, having an auto hotkey setup to introduce random ms delay and transitional inputs. Wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't already a thing. Its pretty wild how much they push online tournies without a proper anti-cheat. Probably would take what Valorant did to catch stuff like this - kernel level on boot service to monitor what's going on but it seems necessary, otherwise everyone's going to be questioning and accusing for everything.

I cant get past 1600 mr, without a person playing sus. They react to my light booms, d.i., despit how much I change my play style. What's crazy is that they have cheaters in avatar battles, and battle hub cabinets too. I will ne understand people who need to cheat to win. How is that satisfying?

That guy is absolutely cheating. But do note that it actually is possible to skip neutral on leverless if your SOCD mode is set to Last Input rather than the default setting of Neutral.
Sorry to say that the only way to stop cheating in fighting games is to bring back arcades and make it all OFFLINE. Period.

I have stopped doing DI as it is 98% countered online on PC. Some players get 100% Perfect parry in 4 rounds. Its a massive problem!

It’s a shame that if you want the best performance on PC vs console you need to sacrifice that you’ll run into this. Console has its forms of cheating as well, these guys either use their parents money or what little money they make from work to make themselves feel good at something.

Dude, you gotta just play them and see if it seems like they're cheating; far from everyone on PC is doing this. I'm on PC and would never in a million years stoop to this level. Cosmetic mods? Sure, why not? But cheating in competitive multiplayer is super-lame, and the entire PC playerbase shouldn't be punished or stereotyped for it. Innocent until proven (or heavily suspected) guilty.

It’s funny in every game, PC is like this. The hitbox itself developed from PC heads. The whole point of PC two decades ago, was to have superiority technology and options compared to the average person. I’m talking about the counterstrike and StarCraft 1.

Not everyone gets into PC specifically to have an advantage over other players, they just want the highest quality and most customizable experience possible.
Keep in mind that crossplay wasn't nearly as common before as it is today to begin with. So yeah, high refresh rates, low latency, etc did help of course in PC-to-PC games, but that's just how it works as tech scales up, if you're willing to pay for it. I do for the wonderful experience, and I mostly play single player games.
I have a very expensive rig, yet I play SF6 on a PS5 Dualsense Edge controller. I have no FPS advantage or anything like that since the game is capped at 60 mid-match, regardless of platform.
