When we come to God by the grace of God through faith he makes us alive spiritually who were once dead in trespasses and sin. God delivers us from the power of darkness. That's just the beginning our conversion, our Ephesians2:8-9 salvation event. Everyone who has been converted has this salvation event in their past and cannot lose an event. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's also a salvation event, our final salvation event and hasn't happened yet it's in our future for everyone. That's why it not only matters if we believe remain faithful to Christ. It also matters how we live our walk our righteousness now in this lifetime. Has nothing to do with keeping Torah laws or working for salvation. After our conversion salvation event we maintain our salvation by abiding in the doctrine of Christ.....and this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life.....whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son....eternal life is in Christ not in ourselves. As long as we abide in the doctrine of Christ we maintain our salvation and have life in Christ now. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, final salvation event, that's when we are resurrected unto life and have life in ourselves like Christ.....for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order Christ the firstfruits afterwards those who are Christ at his coming.....and as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.....marvel not at this for the hour is coming in which all who are in the Graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation.....many can only see the beginning our conversion salvation event and believe that's all there is to salvation. The first salvation event but not the only salvation event..They cannot see the end when Christ returns judgement our resurrection, final salvation event.....we are once saved always saved only after we are resurrected unto life and have life in ourselves, our final salvation event......

I think y'all guys debate so much y'all have a select few scriptures that you live and die by and that's all. That last debate, you have valid point that it's out heart and without God new birth we don't and won't seek God. Romans 3:10-17. Even the chapter that says we are saved but not of our own will Ephesians 2:8... Those type of scriptures I would stand on because you can't get pass that without admitting God changes the heart, then we seek God. I would love to ask that man, will there anyone be in hell with a new heart (“born from above,” “born anew” or “born again.”) ?

I believe that believers are chosen before the foundation of the world. But each one is called at an time appointed time by God. Such as the Apostle Paul who was persecuting the Church and the believers in Acts 13:48, where those who were appointed believed and those who were not at that appointed time did not. I believe God does everything at an appointed time, such as Pentecost. When the fullness of time had come, the Holy Spirit fell on all who were in the room.

Works is classified as a behavior. You can't behave a certain way to get saved. Yet in salvation your behavior defines you. Gods job in salvation is to help not make. God helps us with our free will choices self-control and emotions. He does not take none of them away from us. The Holy Spirit is to help us to change. It takes work to change. For example the reading and studying your Bible is work. God and Holy Spirit is not going to make you read it. Reading your Bible is still a choice. Even obeying the Holy Spirit is work because sometimes we don't want to do it.
Again I'm saying you don't have to work to get it. In salvation their is work. God has a behavior and satan has a behavior too.
Salvation is a gift but you still have to do right with the gift. So PLEASE REMEMBER GOD DOESN'T TAKE AWAY FREE WILL CHOICES SELF-CONTROL AND YOUR EMOTIONS!!!

I really don't understand how people can believe that water baptism isn't a part of our salvation, it absolutely is. If it wasn't, why did Jesus get baptized? Jesus showed us what had to happen to be accepted by The Father. It wasn't until he was baptized "in water", that the heavens opened and the Holy Spirit descended upon him. Then God recognized him as being his beloved Son, in whom he was well pleased. It's pretty clear to me.

Corey how did the apostle Paul get saved?
How did it go for Stephen when he preached the gospel in front of Paul / Saul?
Even believers didn’t believe that Saul was saved. 😂
If you argue that Paul is an apostle then Paul is a false convert according to your own doctrine because the other apostles heard Jesus personally preach.
No a miracle, like seeing the risen Christ, on the road to Damascus caused Saul to believe the gospel.
Jesus told one person that wanted to go with Him he must rather go tell his village of all that God has done for Him. He didn’t instruct him to “preach the word”
Paul instructed that for the church meetings, gatherings etc.
So stop saying people who “experience an external miracle” is momentarily a believer.
I’m one since 2002. Nothing momentary about that.
The parable of seed & soil also shows that even preaching the word can momentarily make some believe.
But Jesus didn’t say it is the only way everyone comes to believe continually.
Jesus also said that the wind blows where it wants & no one knows & so it is with those who get born again.
