      Hunter Craig I was at that game in 2015. He finished the half and then Trevor Knight had to play the second half and OU barely won. A concussed Baker was better than a fully healthy Trevor!

      It’s kinda funny. I’m an LSU fan, and before interception happened, I was about to leave but I decided to stay and see if we did anything, saw the pick, literally left when it happened. I didn’t know there was a late hit involved until I was at church the next day and one of my friends started talking about it. I was so confused until I watched what happened after. Yikes! 😬

      Nothing late or dirty. But it was still roughing the kicker. It was a rugby style punt that took longer than a normal punt but it wasn't a cheap shot.

      @@tigerguy1013 I disagree with that being a targeting penalty. I don't see it as forcible contact to the head or neck area nor does he lead with the crown of the helmet. With that said, it should have been called a personal foul for a late hit as the runner was clearly down.
      One thing to remember the officials still need to take into consideration the actions of the ball carrier as well. In this case the runner trips and rolls and is coming back up into the path of the defensive player. Absolutely a late hit, but not targeting.

      James Chapman NCAA calls targeting any helmet to helmet hit after the play is over. The second the punter hits the ground, you can’t hit him.

      Hayden Arcemont you don’t block the punt by hitting the punter. They don’t even teach you to do that because if you miss the ball, you’re going to be hit with a 15yd penalty.

      It was definitely against the rules, but i don't believe the Notre Dame player was trying to injure the QB, especially because he hit him right as he was releasing the ball, he just made contact to the QBs head. By rule its a penalty, but i don't think its a cheap or dirty hit as i don't think there was intent to injure, so i agree with you.

    Razorback fan here, and that hit by Wade was fucked up. Dude was nothing but a criminal when he went to Arkansas, stealing computers and shoes from dorms, getting into fights on Main Street in Fayetteville, dwi, fighting cops. He was cut from the team a week after that hit. To bad, because he was a excellent wr/return man, couldve been in the league.

      I agree. He basically leads with his hands. If the receiver had caught the ball he would have had to make that hit for a tackle. The receiver went low causing the head contact, but definitely wasn't intentional. This is where they need to clean up the targeting rule and start looking at common sense and physics. The defender could not pull off that and honestly didnt hit as hard as he could have.

      It was a dirty hit. The receiver had no chance of catching the ball before he got hit and was already being tackled by the other defender. The defender lead with his shoulder and hit him in the head I think it was a good call
