Justin Peters we do sports compilations and sometimes upload little 1-3 minute clips if they have special significance like the field goal from Wisconsin yesterday
Great job on this video. You show the entire play, then the penalty, then a slow-motion replay of what happened. This isn't just a messy mish-mash of clips, this was well put-together.
I think he knew as soon as he made contact that he messed up. Sometimes guys will protest and get angry after being called for a cheap/dirty/illegal hit, but his body language made it seem that he was aware he made a HUGE mistake in forgetting the whole "a runner just needs to hit the ground to be down" rule of college football.
Yeah, true. As a referee, though, you always call targeting as crowd insurance bc they can’t complain about a player being ejected for a targeting penalty. However, bc they’re biased and ignorant, they WILL boo and complain about an ejection for any other penalty bc the rule book doesn’t state that they HAVE to be. Not trying to sound like I’m disagreeing with you lol. Just explaining why almost every ref will ALWAYS call targeting if they plan to eject a player as a way to avoid “controversy.” But you ARE right, some of these hits warrant an ejection regardless of whether targeting is called.
Does the whistle have to blow before the play down He could up and run if no whistle They need to make the offensive play responsibility and remove from the game too.there are no are up at the hit
@@sharpshootergreenzzz8866 yeah what a baby. End up out at the same spot without risking injury. Such a whimp. Not the guy Who hit him when he was obviously going out. Now that's a real man, hitting a guy who gave himself up.
Ben Marcher it’s not a biased call at all. The ND player took a cheap shot at the opposing QB’s head, which is inexcusable and has no place on the football field. So maybe if those players played with some discipline, they wouldn’t get ejected from games. I’m a Baylor student btw, so I don’t want to hear about how “unfair” things are for private schools. If your team is good, they win anyway
Yeah but Baker lost far more than Kansas did. KU’s season was already written off. OU’s was not. Baker made KU look like idiots in every single facet. He barely reacted to their weak ass late hit. He whooped them 41-3. At that point, he should’ve walked off the field the total victor and watched media blow up in favor of him. Kansas would’ve been an utter laughing stock by that point. But then he made a complete idiot out of himself and distracted from the wins he had. And he got himself suspended and made himself the villain.
@@lt0295 What exactly did Baker lose? He still got the Hiseman and still got drafted #1 and destroyed that team. I feel it showed more of how classless KU's team was more than it hurt anything for Mayfield. Yes, he showed out a bit but everyone knew Mayfield carried a chip on his shoulder. I remember reading or hearing talk about it on sports radio about the KU "Captains" getting together and deciding to do that the night before the game for some reason. I guess they wanted to try an ill-advised boost to their team by disrespecting OU and Mayfield and then even threw cheap shots at him. So I think that KU team just showed out how classless that team was more than anything as it was a team effort in classlessness. Mayfield might have gone a bit too far in his trash talk but he did not lose anything in the process.
Nostalgic seeing Bobby Bowden in there. RIP to that man. My dad (the UF fan) absolutely loathed him & the Seminoles, but to me as a kid growing up, it just meant I saw Bobby Bowden on TV all the time.
Don't all home fans boo if their player has been ejected, regardless of if it was warranted or not? Its a bad hit, its an inexcusable hit, and the correct call was made. Literally every home field fans react like that in the same scenario.
He didn’t hit him at full power to be fair. He WAS trying to knock Mayfield down, but he wanted to try and get away without a flag so he didn’t hit him as hard as he could’ve. Still a dumb thing to do either way, but just thought I’d point that out. Also, Mayfield’s momentum was falling forward when that guy hit him, so it just threw his center of mass back under him, hence not knocking him over
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how number 19 on the N C side managed to take out 3 guys to give his dude the chance to turn the corner on that first play shown?
The Pitt player that hit UNC's Corrales when he was on the ground was called for targeting. They reviewed it and somehow overturned the targeting. After seeing it again, I have no idea how that Pitt player wasn't ejected.

1:28 not really sure how that’s a “cheap shot” per se. I understand it’s late given the timing, but if you look when Fromm begins his slide, the cornerback, Anthony Cook, is already parallel to the ground and beginning his tackle attempt with essentially no possibility of letting up at that point. By rule, it should be a flag. But I don’t think that was intended to be a cheap shot, and Anthony isn’t that type of player
