Hey Lee, good TAS, it was very entertaining and just mind-boggling the wallclips and movement pulled off, but I wanted to ask a question: How is it that there is no recorded speedrun of this romhack? I can get why not any%, the strats pulled off in this TAS seem just too daunting and TAS-like that you'd wonder if human skill could ever perform it RTA, and 100% is too boring and prolongated, since it means all 1-Up mushrooms must be collected and after getting the pretty ending and all, you must still do the Area-0 challenge, which just seems like such a hassle imo, however I feel like 5-8 (all 5 ability mushrooms, 8 keys, no glitches required) would be a great category to run and perfect. The possibilities for route-planning and just everything seem to be limitless, and could make for great romhack world record progression.
This is the any% TAS. 100% run would be a good idea, that I'm willing to try for my next project (after SMB warpless TAS). Yes, you're right. This hack can make great TASes.
Is there any documentation, guides, or what-have-you for this hack? I've always been a fan of original SMB physics, and applying Metroidvania elements to SMB is a stroke of genius. I'd love to give this a try, but I don't know if I want to play it completely blind, and I can't seem to find a lot of information about it. I seem to recall there being some maps of the areas out there at some point.
yes, there is a full on map i.imgur.com/JMwCf.png however, i wouldnt say its as confusing or logical as metroid, if you run around enough you're bound to get a key or a special mushroom, and you should try it out like that, its way more fun (although i will admit some keys are just impossible without play-through help or something like that) this comment is 4 years old though, so im absolutely sure you've already played it
@@NakedEndoskeleton I actually haven't yet, but seeing somewes's recent speedruns reminded me this game was a thing, so I'm _actually_ planning on trying it soon, lol.
TAS can do humanly impossible tricks. If you are still speedrunning this game I recommend seeing videos from LeKukie and Somwes for some humanly achievable routes.
kusoman 謝路逖 Are you sure it was glitches? I don't know what version he was playing, but the version I downloaded did not have this many glitches. I tried to play the game like him, but I just couldn't. I can't find any glitches to play like this! It's possible that he could have use Game Genie or Action Replay codes.
Patrick Lange Tas is tool assisted-what he did was he used slowdown and savestates. I've tried it before and it is really difficult. There are variations of TAS though but idk exactly how they do them

Looks like the final boss took a page from Donkey Kong '94 😊
ATA is a great creator

1 year later and we have finally begun cracking down on it with any% in the mid 6 minutes now :p

Looks more like a mix of world, all stars, and smbx...
And Metroid, of course.

It's not a natural gaming.
Cheater! Try beating this game without any cheat codes next time.
Haha, really funny.

no those clipping glitches are possible
you just need to be EXTREMLY precise
on your jumps
+Patrick Lange he is using tas, that makes him to make that movements and glitches

this game sucks
What the heck can a game suck? It doesn't have anything to suck with.
if this game sucks, try to make your game and see which game sucks now.
