Probably maestro but that's just a guess. No reason not to use masetro. If it's awm/wideband me7.XXXX it could be a nefmoto bin file custom made. Or even standalone which would be overkill.
Are you using a sprung or unsprung clutch? What about your flywheel?.......i got a 99.5 1.8T full bolt ons but I'm not past my KO4 tho. I'm using the ECS tuning RA4 conversion clutch and after I did stiff mounts front to rear,including a AWE dts,I'm still getting the worst bouncy,squishy sensation at launch and between gear shifts.
An hx35 e85'ed could easily hit "500hp". Utilizing the twinscroll ex housings with a manifold will help significantly. I got 35~ psi hx35 7 blade at 4200rpms.
wanna be fast 1.8t if you're twinscroll (not just your turbo but your manifold too obviously) starting to spool at 4k means something is up. I spooled better than what you're saying with a spa top mount with the same hx35. Make sure the wastegate flapper dealio is actually shut entirely. Or check for boost leaks. I start getting 5psi or so around 3k and then it shoots up pretty fast. If you have zero psi at 4k and start from there then something is letting air and a lot of it out somewhere. Make sure your external wastegate assuming you have one, has a spring that's actually holding it down and that the valve inside is seated completely. I had both the stock wastegate seat in the turbine section crack loose from whom ever before me couldn't weld at all. And I also had my ext wastegate valve sitting open 2mm's all the time. I fixed it by putting like two more c clips where the top of the valve rested.... If that makes sense.
Frank Long straight denatured alcohol 12gal/hr nozzle with aem progressive controller. E85 is way too much of a hassle I've never even contemplated it. If that's what you were actually wanting to know..
I’m kind of a Audi noob but does this have the 1.8 with a 5 speed? I’m looking to buy one and was curious. Also how much does this motor make stock? And if you know what are some cheap ish modifications to do to make it faster. It would be a high school daily so if that helps on mod recommendations thanks.
James Greeder also try to get the Quattro, lol make sure it’s Quattro. . If you just do intake the car will sound a whole lot nicer, you don’t have to go all crazy on the build . . It’s amazing how you can produce a descent amount of power on stock everything by just doing a tune. . I’d suggest you get it !! Cheap and affordable maintenance
@@jamesgreeder7187 you gon want a 1.8 tho. Theirs a ko4xl hybrid (300$) that's good for 400 ish hp. FMIC from cx racing $150, APR tune (400$ tho) build an exhaust. I got a glass pac from advanced whole thing be like 70$ for the piping an shit
Many bolt on kits out there for the 1.8T. Just a quick Google search (or Bing if you prefer lol) will give you some ideas. If you have the cash anything is possible. I think stock internal can handle about 400 HP beyond that you'll probably have to get into the block
Obviously didn't flutter this loud, but it was very similar to this. Installed a diverter valve and it wooshes like a son of a bitch now. Esp at 18 psi.
710n's and any other revision will flutter like that. They suck. I wouldn't jump on the compressor surge train soley from this video. Especially given it's behavior at lower rpms throttle off.
Holset is a cheap and very hard to kill turbo, problem with almost all Holset, i had a HX35 on my audi S6,, the laaaaag between shifts is so bad, like ye can count mississippis before pressure builds up again, same with some buddys of mine and their cars with holset.. Good turbo, but slow spool

Had a b6 a4 with a gt3076r on it. Not the most relaible apart from engine and turbo lol but an absolute blast. No boost til 3500rpms lmao

My 01 jetta 1.8t fluttered just like this when i first purchased it. Found out it was compressor surge due to a few vaccum leaks. No longer does it.
