Man the game is good and many times i stopped playing snd just watched the environment, but as an assassin’s creed fan since childhood, and after i player all the games, Odyssey is Complete SHIT (as an assassin’s creed game) they should’ve named it something like: Odyssey- an assassin’s creed story or Odyssey from the makers of AC or something like that...

@@wdemon85 Vast majority of people would disagree, I platinumed odyssey and valhalla and deleted them straight away I have no intention of touching them again, I've redownloaded the Ezio Collection to do another play through of them because they're true Assassins Creed games where you play as an assassin, also the old games aren't littered with microtransactions 🤷♂️

I haven’t played Valhalla because I got sick of assassinating people lol I just got done playing Ghost of Tsushima and that’s an awesome game. Better than any assassins creed game I’ve played.

As a long time fan of the series I tend to forget this game ever happened honestly it created a lot of retcons for the series as a whole and its overall a grindy unsatisfying game. I really hope Valhalla can bring the series back.

Strange because I'm also playing since AC1 and I love Odyssey the most. I skipped AC3 Unity and Syndicate, if you consider those real AC, I feel sorry for you. It's not just about the story, if the game is crap nobody will play it through. The changes Origin brought pretty much saved the franchise, otherwise it would rest for like 3-5 years.

148 hours of gameplay finished it 100% all missions, every location and all dlc. How could you play 500 hours it's not that great? I just played that many cause I am a completionist. After Liberation, this one is the least I enjoyed getting 100% for and a platinum after playing every title.

Odyssey is the absolute worst AC game in the franchise. It doesn't even have a code or hidden blade. You can screw or kill anyone. The animus does not work like that. It acceses memories. You cannot choose who you screw.

@@justinlanoue6215 The huge map, the beautiful landscape, the freakin city (Atlantis) underwater, the epic bosses, the looooooong ass storyline which takes at least 50hrs to complete (I completed the storyline on my 5th day of buying it, played it for 5-24hrs a day), the fate of Atlantis dlc which gives you at least 30+ more hours of gameplay with more epic boss battles, INCLUDING HADES HIMSELF.
If that's not a well made game, then I don't know what is.
@@Strugglebaddy616 the huge map with copy pasted assets over and over, every city in origins used different assets well odyssey with 2x the size used less original assets and simply made multiple smaller cities use the same buildings and layout, the atlantis dlc was lore breaking and had a shit story at best, plus the shitty 240p resolution backgrounds in each map made them hard to look at, the long ass story that is only long because they pad out the runtime with level scailing that forces you to grind and half the story missions unrelated to the plot, no unique encounters as all side locations are enemy encampments, the mass amount of side quests yet none relate to any main characters or even side characters that extend past those missions, the atlantis dlc and first blade again are lore breaking dlc storylines, atlantis isnt even canon as it happens in an altered reality like the king washington dlc for ac3. The landscape is akso copy pasted assets that get bland with the annoying traversal and stupid no fall damage mechanics that mean you can just go forwars with no issue on this massive boring map, nothing noteworthy happens in the landscape either, no encounters, mystery locations, nothing breaks up the samie environments that are copy pasted dozens of time. Shitty combat that relies on spamming your superpowers on enemies that are not only damage sponges but are also level scaled meaning you never actually get any stronger vs opponents, only get new powers to beat the same difficulty of opponents. And the only notable boss battles are the monsters which are horribly explained and dont make sense in ac lore as they werent well explained, outside of that every boss battle is vs enemies with the same movesets as regular enemies just do more damage and have more health. The game has 0 memorable characters with any meaningful development, even the protagonist is merely a shell of a character used for rpg mechanics.
If thats a well made game, ac syndicate is a masterpiece

I have been playing odyssey again recently after I sold the game because I couldn’t stand playing it. I still don’t like it and just hope Montreal can pull through with Valhalla and make a true ac game.

Here is what I’ll say. I havent played the game and I love assassin’s creed. This game ruined assassin’s creed for me for those who are fans since ac 1 or 4 dont play this. BUT it is a good game but I also heard its kinda but I gotta admit its good even if majority of people saying its bad. It’s honestly a mix game and so its rlly up to you whether you play it or not. Dont get it if it will be the game that will introduce you to assassin’s creed. There are much better assassin’s creed games. This is the lowest ubisoft has ever hit when it comes to assassin’s creed.
