Perhaps a better description of them is that they are _purposefully manipulative and deceptive_ implementations of Social Media technology. It was the conscious decision of Managers at Facebook who took gambling psychology lessons and _deliberately integrated those psychological hooks_ into Facebook's technology that gave that implementation its negative ethical and moral weight. The tech itself lacks any moral or ethical weight. Only the human's intent and implementation provides that.

also: yahoo got hacked BIG TIME. I mean BIG TIME!

One problem with your survey, besides the possibility that it may not be seen by enough people to get a good read of the crowd, but the story is about hacking and people not always being secure with personal information online. You may not be asking what someone's job is, but you are asking what job people don't have which still narrows down the image of who the online person is. This crowd is very likely too paranoid to tell you what they are, or what they aren't

Give it some time, his followers are very devout. The more he "loses" the more he cries and the more money they give. Sad but true. This feels as a "what if" situation like someone said "what if Jim Jones or David Koresh became president?" and somehow it morphed into reality. Many years later everyone will look back and wonder, "how can/do/did people really believe in that?" Trumpism has gone beyond politics and on to become a cult. His people don't even know what they "believe in" anymore, they just do without question. He literally has no platform other than "pro-Trump money/power, anti-everything else." The simple-minded are so easily ruled by anyone willing to rule them, mind boggling.
