Thanks. I certainly don't hate hackers, or have anything against them in general. Clearly, there are good & bad hackers, just like anyone else. And I notice that a good number of these stories involve teenage boys just screwing around online, giving them the 'out' of some innocence (or at least ignorance). But it seems to me that there's another element, which I do find concerning. They're curious, yes. But they also seem to escalate their activities, and seem unable or unwilling to stop themselves until they break something or otherwise get caught. 40 years ago, this might've led to truancy, or light shoplifting, or somesuch. But now, these kids can - and clearly do - actually shut down things that millions of people depend on (like My Space, or game servers, or banks, or government sites, etc. That's a lot different than doing some graffiti. I don't think there's any way one could restrict such things, without violating basic rights. Education seems like a good answer. But it does give me pause. tavi.

I have lived in S. cal for several decades. I have personally known Sea World Zoologists and trainers. The public only see’s a fraction of the environmental advocacy they do. About one third of sea world is unseen but it is where injured and I’ll wild sea mammals, sea lions, seals, manatees, but also avian species are treated, rehabilitated then released back to the wild. Ocean pollution is tracked, ocean ecology is studied. I’m sure most activists have good intentions attacking Sea World but they are led astray by the obviously biased advocacy groups. Every internet attack results in the death of animals due to reduced resources and altered communication. I hope in the future those passionate enough to attack Sea World will do their own research of the institution rather than become marionettes of advocacy for profit groups.

I started out listening from spot... great podcast because he's done it as a job or career...hahaha we need this channel
Never stop the darknet diaries.
But it does give me pause. tavi.
@Yougotnomilk lol right
Wait... Myspace?
@Yougotnomilk Reading comp just isn't your thing huh?
this channel got no reason to be this goated 😤
Amazing interviews on this channel! I am suscribed now.
Just one comment, the audio of Cam on this one is bad, I had a lot of trouble understanding...
But the content was amazingly well delivered, good job!
So what was going on in 2014 about traumatizing whales ?
I could've been him too. I did all that LOIC opanon tango down stuff too, played cs source, and i was an animal rights activist going to all those fur farm protests and stuff at 14-15. If things went any different, i would be right there as well. It's lucky i gave all that up when i started smoking weed lol. That ended up getting me into all kinds of different trouble lol
In my county they'll put u behind bar for 10 years and without want to knowing your motive
He reminds me of the time I had a bounty on GTA online PS4 this tryhard was trying to get the bounty. We ended up in a 2v1 him and is friends was using dirty and cheap tactics and still lost. I was talking shit and laughing at how trash they were. He started threatening to boot me off line. I knew at the time it was possible but when most people tell me that, they really can’t and just mad. He said “bye bitch” then he DDoS me. We didn’t get our internet back for 2hours
I love your podcasts. Bro, can you please take 5 min to keep the podcast playlist in order. It's harder for me to find them.
always your best one for me
Underrated show.
These videos would fit in perfectly after Radio Lab on NPR. Love the production.
I love this employer. He seems like an awesome boss!!
Ion cannon hasn't been relevant in years DDos attacks are covered now by every ISP, cloudflare, and server host for years now. I guess it could work in a game though where microseconds matter, yeah probably, it doesn't bring down websites etc though like people still think.
This is just generic "hacker" shit kids used to do 10 years ago...
Thanks again, Jackary Cider
When he said he grew up in Cornwall I thought of mr. Hankey the Christmas poo and his son Cornwallis from South Park.... Lmao, nothing like magical talking turds....
Amazing how trash talking lead to so many hackers
That COD MW Soundtrack at the start gave me flashbacks...
The only thing worse than Charlie, are 15 yr old trolls with the twitch reflexes of a cat on methamphetamine.
