Thank you for making this. I lived in Chile and its the same. I know how much you love your country and how reluctannt people are to talk about these things so I really really thank you
That was pretty good, with one exception: in the last scene where the woman is protecting her necklace, she waves her arm in the air; the arm where she is wearing a wristwatch. When I was stationed in Da Nang in U.S. Army, every day someone riding through town in a jeep would have their wristwatch torn from their arm. I think when people are careful, they will discover that Vietnam is a wonderful country, with mostly honest people. Thank you!
Theodore Narvaez it happen every where but small country it us extreme just careful all the time that what ithink and people like to show off all value I would suggest don’t do it in Vietnamese and Paris than it is ok just hide all. Ash and wallet and all stuff cost you cash that all ihave to says
Theodore Narvaez ok. But to advise people not to go outside with anything that looks like it is worth something is not common for any city in any country. At least not in my country although times are changing here as well. But that has other sad reasons ....
That was a great video, so friendly. I was in Saigon and northern Quang nam province during the war. Cheng made me laugh out loud when she said "choi oi". I hadn't heard that for a long time.
Cam on rat nhieu & thanks for sharing. These were so Real in Saigon. I had experienced it. Those guys were so well trained by riding his bike with one hand and snatching our stuff with the other hand. Be very careful while you are walking on the streets in Saigon.
GETTING CLOSE TO | travel blog im goin vietnam for first time next month june any tips wer I stay hw much for 2 weeks hotel . and places to go outside of saigon thanks
Hi, Song Be is the former name of a province that was separated to 2 different provinces called Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc nowadays. I'm from Binh Duong. Do not hesitate to drop me an email if anything I can help, of course for free:). My email address bondnbilly@ gmail.com
I was constantly reminded and scolded to put my phone in the pocket so many times by Vietnamese when I took photos on the streets, or when I ate a bowl of pho and placed the phone on the table. Even though luckily I never been robbed, it does show it's a very serious thing in Vietnam.
Really good.... I should arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday next week (3rd August, the day before my birthday, as it happens).....It looks as if it going to be even more of an adventure than I planned (and as we know, we are now living in COVID-19 world)............Heigh ho!
What most people don't realize is that most people who got their stuff snatched got a chance to get it back. But, they're afraid the thief might have a knife and of being harm. They're slow to react or they just have bad luck because the thief is quick and disappear within 5 seconds. Stay safe fella and have fun while in Vietnam. I live here and I haven't got anything stolen YET.
I'll have to create an update to this video soon and let everyone know about the Grab app as well. I highly recommend that if you need to get to your hotel from the airport. I hope you were able to download and use that app for the rest of your adventure in Vietnam.
Great video guys. :-) :-) :-) I love Viet nam. One day I will learn your language. I find it very interesting and exciting. It may be hard for sometimes but I know it can be learned. :-) :-) :-) Viet nam is a beautiful and wonderful country. :-) I hope to visit there someday. With love from the Philippines. :-)
what an awesome video. Well done :) I'll be traveling to Vietnam for my first time in March, from Toronto. Lived in Asia for years (Singapore, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia - 9 years total)...but never made it to Vietnam. Can't wait! Question...I've got 2 weeks. What can I do in that time? I was thinking start in HCMC and go overland to Hanoi, see Ha Long Bay and then fly back south. Doable?

I love that you actually showed the stuff being taken. It's good to see what it really looks like.
Where did you find these guys who played thieves? By their skill it looks that they are real snatchers :D
Back-up career.
They weren't actors. They were live, unscripted criminals. Its just that common.
😂🤣😅
My friend got his phone stolen like that on the first 10 minutes in Saigon. :D
Al Bunda hahahahhahha
*Great video with a wonderfully mischievous sense of humour!*
Thank you, l was in your beautiful Saigon city, it is safety and wonderful people.
